YB player here. Seems like we’re not as serious about WvW as a server as the other teams — Lost Shore is taking a lot. Outmanned buff on Friday night at 11pm EST when we’re competitive.

Yak’s is PvE server, how we got to tier 3 is beyond me.. I want to go back to T4-5. Where I and my guild had fun. T3 is not fun for us.

Yaks is not a PVE server. It has pve and pvp based guilds and population like any other. we’re not stacked with around-the-clock WvW guilds like Blackgate but neither is TC or FA.

we got to T3 on the blood and sweat of a lot of YB players and guilds who have been giving it their all in WvW for a long time now. we have tried everything we can to increase our teamwork and build our competitiveness to this level. you should know all of this if you have been a part of it.

that being said transfers are still up and running. anvil rock and ferguson’s crossing seem to need people.

A T3 Full server that rocks the outmanned buff on reset day is definitely a PvE heavy server.

Because in EB they didn’t touch each others supply camps at all, it was just both constantly attacking FA’s camps.

At the same time, TC took nothing in YB BL. And once TC took all of their own BL they didn’t attack YB at all, instead their zerg came to FA BL instead.

Similarly, YB has barely attacked anything but FA held stuff.

So right now it’s like 1 team (FA) versus 2 teams, as neither TC or YB have really attacked each other.

it’s a 1v1v1, all teams fight, you dont see the other TC fight YB because you are not present in those fights, kind of obvious. To be fair, preferably the 2 losing teams focus on the winning one so things stay even for the whole week. Sadly the way it actually goes is the server that’s in the middle gets focused because the ranked 3 server wants to move to be rank 2 if they lose hope on rank 1, and rank 1 wants to stay rank 1…kind of what happened to us last week. CD wanted 2nd, and TC wanted first…so Yb got double teamed for the first few days.

This week, it seems FA is the qualifying team for 2nd so they are most likely to be double teamed…though you guys are winning right now so it’s fair if you get double teamed, but in reality you are not.

Oh, but do not call out the TC zerg army…..apparently TC players are completely oblivious to the masses running around along side them. Best of luck FA. Btw both TC and YB has poor Oceanic/Euro coverage from my experience fighting them last week.

Be sure to camp the jumping puzzle though. TC just hates that sorta thing.

Not to beat a dead horse, but it’s a good strategy that’s worked before. No one will believe you of course and they’ll even start stalking/besmirching you just for mentioning it… but it’s hard to deny that it’s a lot better than running around willy nilly like as if it was a True FFA

Strategy? Won’t make any difference.This matchup going to be decided with nightcaping. More than sure TC would win this by turning map green Friday and Saturday night. By Sunday FA won’t have any fairweather PUGs left and will get crushed by number outside of peak hours. not just night.

Ofcourse the other servers gang up on the ones in the lead/with SMC. With 3 servers at full capacity its so hard defending SMC while also keeping your supply camps and towers safe.
If YB went for TC then TC could just back off SMC and YB would have no advantage but against FA its a whole other story because we have (had) to defend SMC.
Now that we lost SMC and look to be the lowest scorers for a little while I expect YB to start hitting TC.
If they dont, well then we can talk about conspiracy.

With no offense intended to YB – FA is the unknown in this matchup. None of us knows how transfers have treated them. TC managed to beat YB before and can reasonably assume they will manage to do so again, especially after how many CD guilds jumped ship at the end of last week.

Even if the focus on Fort Aspenwood were deliberate (which it’s not; FA seems to be in its offhours right now, and Yak’s Bend was attacking Stonemist not an hour ago) it would be completely valid from a competitive standpoint.

This has been the best match so far. Skill-wise we all appear about even. Will definitely be decided by who caps the most in the off-peak.

I just want to wish a good game upon FA and YB. Both servers whom I have enjoyed playing against in the past. I hope this thread doesn’t get carried away with conspiracies and complaints. I fought some impressive guild groups from both opposing servers tonight.

Tonight was fun from the very start. My little guild really appreciated being taken under the wing of TTC tonight. We had some great small battles and it was nice to see a larger guild do their thing and be part of it.

Bella, Thrumdi, and Kendrick – thanks for letting us tag along. If you ever need us again we will be there.

Flat out obvious, FA lost because of night hours, 3-4 hours ago we had a way better control of everything. I put my bet on TC this week, they have so much player at night its just ridiculous, pretty sure they still have a queue time at 1AM.

After largely neglecting WvWvW last week for lack of patience with queues, I managed to get into EB for a couple of hours tonight.

It began the same as always – someone always tries to go for SM first, and thus presenting a nice juicy target for the other two servers. Since FA grabbed SM early, it basically created the situation where it would be hit by both TC and YB at the same time. As usual, TC concentrated on defense, upgrading towers, set up trebs, and preventing yaks from reaching SM.

Someone from FA mentioned earlier that TC and YB were leaving each other alone in EB. This is not really the case. YB certainly attacked Rogue’s numerous times, but the difference between TC and FA is that TC actually defend our supply camps. YB usually barely downs the guild claiming NPC before TC’s response crushes them. FA should know – Gol was under attack every 10-15 minutes, but it never fell because of quick response time by defenders.

However, while YB attacked TC from time to time, TC did not attack YB. The reasoning is simple – since FA had the point lead and holds SM, TC’s strategy was to repel YB attacks, but not to push into YB territory, and therefore nudge YB into attacking FA at SM. As a result, SM was under assault from both the North and South, at times being hit by 4+ trebs between TC and YB.

FA should thank YB for the distraction they provided by attacking TC – if it wasn’t for YB’s persistent attacks on Rogue, TC would have had more people raiding FA yaks. In the end, a few yaks did get through to SM and FA was able to upgrade the walls which repaired 4 locations where the walls were completely down.

At around this time TC got a boost in numbers from our home borderlands after it had been turned completely green. With this reinforcement, and with FA busy fighting Yak up north in SM, TC knocked down SM’s southern outer wall and got on the southern gate with 3 rams. In a matter of minutes – and through at most 5ish FA defenders – TC broke through.

FA had at least 2 superior balistas set up in very odd places in the lord’s room, and they did not amount to much as TC rolled through the siege, NPCs, and 10ish defenders. With SM in our grasp, TC cleared YB from north SM, knocked down their trebs at OL, and refocused on getting supplies to SM.

With TC in the lead on PPT, the next target was FA’s keep, which was taken after 20 minutes of fighting. By the time I logged off, TC owned half of FA’s territory, and YB had set up trebs for SM once more.

Overall the night was fairly tame in EB – no desperate defenses or daring offensives. The situation pretty much went according to expectations. Hopefully tomorrow will be more dynamic~

You know that TC had taken nothing in YB BL because they were attacked by FA while trying to take bay, and ended up losing spawn tower and camps to FA, right? You guys pushed TC out of the map. These complaints are a little ridiculous in that light.

Lets not bicker for 7 pages or until the thread gets locked. I can already predict this entire thread. TC is “zergy” and has big oceanic zergs that “night cap” everything, also because they are a RP server, they’re busier than everyone else with the event. Yak’s is a “PvE focused” server and they are just tired of all the fighting, they can’t keep up with the massive “zergs”, being largely outmanned at all times. Fort Aspenwood is the bandwagon server with no tactics and we only get points because of the massive transfers that nobody on Fort Aspenwood has really met, other than [Asg]. Also, everyone is getting double teamed. Now that’s all sorted, let’s have fun.

Some server will feel picked on.
Some server will get transfers.

For all the bitterness and “history” between the current 3 or 4 tier-3 level servers (FA, TC, YB, and CD unless they continue to implode), the matches have been shaping up to be very enjoyable and the rivalries are interesting. Here’s hoping that no matter what happens to the score during the next couple days that the thread won’t turn toxic and be locked like so many threads before >_>

I swore I wouldn’t stay up til 5am this time… but we were in the lead and at ~100 delta and I couldn’t help but stick around for the wvw-wide rally. GJ FA.

I regret making my observation as it’s clearly interpreted wrongly by people (it certainly wasn’t a whine as I think it’s a perfectly valid strategy). However it’s clear people like to interpret things in as bad a light as possible, so I won’t comment on this matter again.

No need for the arguing everyone. This is going to be a competitive match for sure. I know the score is going swing back and forth DAILY. Easily.
