@Plok I agree, but I think the point is people will, and will continue to get away with glitching terrain to get passed gates. The people that get caught should be dealt with accordingly. That being said, you can only tell the ones you see doing it that it’s wrong and report it, hopefully ss it as well. Doesn’t seem to do much good. I can promise though, I will not glitch terrain or portal anyone in with my ranger ever.
I hope BP does well in next weeks match up, and doesn’t have a mass exodus if they do not, because at the rate HoD and ET are falling AR may wind up in that tier week after next, and I am not sure if AR is prepared for that yet. If it does happen though, it’s only because we missed you terribly.

Godfather aka Darksavage is actually really cool and ressourful in game.

He justs seems to post a lot on the emotion in the forum. But I understand him, as when you fight zerg with a small group, it get really frustrating.

I’m anti-zerg, I hate to be part of the zerg, even if I do it sometime. This is a part of WvW that I wish would be changed over.

@ Kardia – I’m sure he is. He just posts a lot in anger on the forums so comes off as being very annoying. Actually, it’s funny cause a lot of the people I know from BP also sound different on the forums then in-game. I bet I do too. I guess it’s the rivalry that makes people a bit more aggressive.

As for fighting a zerg, I understand, but you also have to know what your group can and cannot do. I don’t know if you have noticed, but I went to AR and GoM BL as a guild only group a few times this week.
Sometimes we were just lvling chars, other times having fun without any real objective. Many times we got stomped by an AR zerg. I know the feeling. But we adapted and learned from it. It’s actually a great experience. Also, check out that video the NEWL guys posted. There are ways of dealing with a zerg if you’re in a small group. Check out the southern camp battle where they pull a couple at a time and focus fire them til they’re all dead. It was awesome.

So if you wanna have fun fighting small groups, look us up on weekdays. Also, if you wanna get together on ts or send me a whisper and plan a guild vs guild battle I’m all for that too. Even if your guild is only 3 people. I think that kind of activity can help us start seeing each other as gaming buddies instead of enemies.

It’s been a while since i’ve posted, infact this week other than sunday during sos’s operation to reset your keeps, we’ve been out of the picture. We’ve been doing other guild events, in include jumping puzzles. Which btw, those that did not attack my people, we let by and waved, those that did got killed eventually.

You guys are fun to play against seriously and I hope you all the best in the next tier. He did inform me you were in New York, and I asked him to send my regards, because I know the storm was hitting all along the east cost, but it looks like your okay.

AR has alot to work on, I think in the order of 1. Numbers, 2. Strategy, 3. Aggresiveness. I can do wonders with the amount i have right now, wait till I recruit more pve players and get them involved. Maybe then we can be a much more pain on the enemy side.

I play on AR and I do agree that we are usually outnumbered. But I do see the BP generally always upgrades all of their stuff including camps. Thus making it harder for us to take things and easier for them to defend. Usually after we take something or defend something maybe like 2 or 3 folks actually take the time to try and repair/upgrade a wall/camp/etc, then run off, then we lose that objective again because no one took the time to secure it and then whine about how we suck lol! Also when it comes to defending, yes a lot of times we are outnumbered, but so many people give up so quickly. A few days ago 5 of us held off 30+ BP from taking a tower for at least 40 minutes or so. It disgusts me to see so many folks quit so fast and then start whining how we are outnumbered. Shut your mouth and grab a weapon and defend. The other thing to is Stonemist Castle, generally the leaders on our server seem to feel it isn’t smart to try and take that. To be honest I also kind of find this ludicrous as well. It is such an advantage in EB that is it ridiculous. Yes maybe we don’t have the numbers to defend it all of the time but that is because so many folks give up so quick. Granted there are plenty of folks who fight really hard but they are few and far between. There has been countless times now I have been defending something with a few people only to waypoint back and see like 30 or more people just standing around! Like why even go into W v W if you are going to stand around. Also I understand the bigger guilds and groups have plans, etc. but come on you are going to sit there doing whatever you are doing when objectives are being taken from us? Have some respect for our server or don’t W v W in my opinion. Note I know there is plenty of good players and guilds who do an amazing job thankfully so this isn’t directed at everyone by any means and for those who are trying thank you!! I just wish the rest of you would stop whining about how bad we are and do something about it…

30 BP soldiers entertained a very confused AR Thief tonight.

Haha yea that was pretty fun, First we had 30 BP sneak out of the water and run behind 4 of them before they even noticed we were there (dancing) I got right behind them before they moved haha, then we went for a mass rush to see who could run the furthest at their spawn, apparently when u hit the top of the stairs u get ported back, I managed to port back twice before i died! Had to teach some new people a lesson on why u don’t push to the spawn, that aoe is brutal! Ps, we almost sniped ur bay AR but that 1 guy spotted us good scouting!

More AR that can only accept it has to be anything but them that didn’t win. Man you guys give your entire server a bad name.

Will feel very odd not having this same matchup next week. I guess there are reasons for it, but I wish folks names appeared as their header. I would love to give some shoutouts to some AR and GoM folks I have had some small scale fights with but I have no clue who you are :P.

To the late night 5v5ers, 3v3ers, folks looking for 1v1s, I raise my glass to you!!

Last night was crazy in EB!

Not sure what happened tho, did GoM and BP get angry at us or something? :P

I played from 9.30pm to 00.15 and man, the entire time, BP and GoM were both attacking us at the same. We would push them, they would both come back. We lost Durios many time hahaha!

That was crazy, people calling “hey come help Bravost there is a zerg there” “No the zerg is at Durios!” “Well there ia a BP zerg at Durios and a GoM zerg at Bravost!”

The only thing that surprised me was Quentin lake was never really under attack. But then I went there and saw that one of our guild decided to defend it like there was no tomorow. That was prolly our point in WvW with the most defence ahah.

We lost some fight, won some fight. Anvil Rock usually lose zerg fight because we have so many underleveled people, but yesterday it was pretty smooth. Prolly because the alliance had a meeting and were all there.

To the group of BP that tried a surprise attack again our Garrison from the underwater way, good try ahah! It got us on our toe. Our Largest group was behind OgreWatch, and they had to cancel what they were doing to come back.
“We finish this tower and we come back!”
“If you don’t come back right away, the garrison is gone”.

I’m not the one that will call “Hey server X and server Y are allying it’s unfair” each time we get attacked by both server.

But last night, it was just a persistent attack from both server at the same time. It’s the first time I saw that. It’s like both your commanders chatted and said : “You know those annoying guys from AR on the forum? Let make them pay!” or “GoM don’t want to finish last, help us kick AR kitten before you go one tier up!”. Our AR borderland was also under attack from both server, will the other borderlands were at peace.

It might just have been a coincidence, but it was wonderful It’s a war, and I approve alliance. That’s why it’s a 3 way war. If I was less lazy and had more influence, I would have tried to ally with GoM again BP. It was the best time I had since months!

Lets continu this war until Friday! It might be our last for this matchup!

Special Shout out to the D/D Elementalist from BP that prolly use the hybrid build from the NOM guild. I think your char is a female human and you have the title of berry eater or don’t remember what. You are a pain in the kitten to fight and it was a pleasure.

After our fight, I even respected to be more efficient vs your build and thief. I’m sure you make people rage a lot with all that mobility, damage, heal and CC.

I WAS confused. I had been attempting to do in-and-out strikes around the BP group, and not being very successful. It seemed like an army was there just waiting for me to get out of spawn. Closer … closer … then a huddle for 15 sec, and they rushed me!! As far up the steps as they could go!! I couldn’t believe it. I laughed a little, and then thought “those guys really want me dead …”

Didn’t know you could actually survive to the steps.

Had some good fights on BP borderlands last night. Won some, lost some. Almost makes me want to join you guys and get to know some of you. Almost …

Yeah, my guildmate use the same build on his ele Alt.

If he doesn’t want to die, he won’t die. He will only die if he overstay in a zerg. But he can literraly charge into a group, do is combo, full heal, then escape.

He also laught at any Thief trying to burst him, as he is full heal right away.

I have a video of fighting that Ele, we were 2 vs him. I had my weak MM necro build, but my friend had is shatter mesmer. We usually kill group 2 vs 4-5, but 2 vs this ele we couldn’t even kill him. And once he even downed my friend.

I tell you, D/D Ele are incredible.

This happened last night @ Ogre’s I have noticed about 90% of fighting that takes place is with BP.. Just have more run-ins with them on EB/GoM BL.

Why were BP and GoM persistently attacking AR !

It was a lot of fun, but I was wondering all night, was it on purpose? Only after midnight I think GoM took a BP camp.

No actually up until Tuesday I thought the two of you guys were working together. I wasn’t with a group of people I usually run alone or with a 1-2 man squads picking off doylaks and capping camps depending on the amount of people on at the time. It was just a freak accident that I got caught up in it. I did see all three sides collide in one field earlier in the evening (I was on from 0700-2230 EST) but I saw no coordination in team chat perhaps the commanders on both sides saw a vulnerability that would give them a stranglehold and went for it at the same time.

Yeah, it might have been that, taking advantage of the situation.

Since BP was focusing on us, GoM took the chance and also attacked us. A good move! The only thing that permited us to survive those assaults was the fact that some crazy WvW build a large amount of siege, and AR alliance just finished their meeting, so they were all there.

It was good sport, and I think BP and GoM even clashed, fighting for OUR durios :P Come on boy don’t fight for our tower But I’m not sure, was dead as culling made me run in a BP zerg.

It would have been really nice to see one of those huge zergs at least “try” to take Quentin Lake last night during primetime….but everytime they ran through it was either to Danelon or right past back up north to mess with Durios or ARV garrison. Though we did manage to pick a few of them off or so everytime they passed by and most of our guildies managed to walk away +2-3 gold from defending that tower, flipping hyleks back every chance and taking Danelon back often.

Yes, that was us. We wanted to show that with a little D on a small tower and the right siege and upgrades that things actually can be kept in WvW, let alone EB which is high contested real estate. And, that it is possible to make money, experience, and karma through guarding said towers. Even though I fully upgraded that tower, I still came out even at the end of the night with upgrades and siege placed. I know it’s only A tower, but it’s one that nobody had to worry about keeping because it was handled.

Thanks to all the EOH guildies that joined us last night in keeping QL a blue tower and Hyleks and Danelon. Thanks to others that came by and commented and learned something about the siege out front.

Always fun fighting EOH. Smart players who do smart things. It’s good to hear they are helping teach those new to WvW. When i logged on last night i was asked right away if I could get to our borderlands to defend because AR was making a push. We had all of AR side of EB at the time but Krew stayed in BP BL most of the night. Once we gathered up we came out of bay and both BP zerg and AR zerg met right outside of vale camp by sentry. Great fights in BP BL though I believe the AR zerg left and went back to EB seeing they took back their side in 20mins. Too bad i missed out on what sounded like some great fights in EB, but it was my turn to defend our borderlands

Yeah since 2 weeks, BP found a Day Crew. It will help them a lot for scoring!

omg yes mate was heaps of fun 5 of my guys “BURN” (seraphim martyrs) and 1 guys from “Krew” managed to walk straight up to your garrison and take it… ya may as well of left the doors open lol but omg did you put up a fight at Cragtop and DB ya was trying your hardest and suddenly ya had LOADS of peeps against 9 of us in DB till we slowly got reinforcements trickle in.

Does that ele have any videos up? I was part of a small group who got absolutely smashed by that ele last night. Granted, I was playing an under-leveled alt and will hit downed state if someone so much as even glares at me, but I really liked their play-style. Beyond the build they were using, they dodged like a boss.

Later on, they were joined by another d/d ele (sylvari male with white hair I think) and an asuran mesmer with [EDGE] tag. The sylvari ele appeared to be using the same build, but was no where near as effective as the human female.

Here is a new NEWL video of various fights from the last few weeks from my perspective:

It’s a pretty long video (30 minutes), but feel free to skim through for larger fights. Group sizes in the video range from 3 to 7 players. The fights are probably about 60% Anvil Rock and 40% BP. with a couple of three way fights.

Here’s a short video from last night of a CRAZY underwater chase in the BP borderlands. I had to empty my pants of bricks by the time it was over. You guys almost got me!

There is definately a population boost in WvW participation. I’ve leveled 4 80s in WvW, and it’s kitten hard for me to level my 5th. No matter what time it is during the day, or night, I’ve put together a 3-5 man Karma/Xps crew for my “now” level 26 Mesmer, and every time I run into a massive amount of people.

Prior to the most recent weeks, I was leveling an 80 in WvW every 7-9 days, now after 17 days, my last toon I’m trying to get to 80 is still only level 26. It’s fun though, running around on a low level in WvW. I hate PvE unless there is a risk of PvP, so I’ll keep digging in, and I WILL get this last toon to 80 in WvW.

Another issue might be this is the first toon I’ve played that doesn’t have access to a long duration Swiftness, or have a perma run speed like my Thief.

All mesmers feel the difference of this, but still one of my favorite classes to play! Of course paying thief ruins almost ruins everybody as far as speed goes! :P

It’s a pretty long video (30 minutes), but feel free to skim through for larger fights. Group sizes in the video range from 3 to 7 players. The fights are probably about 60% Anvil Rock and 40% BP. with a couple of three way fights.

I learbed one thing. Thieves need an even bigger nerf than I ever thought.

Yeah, when I get on my Thief, it makes it very hard to go back to both my Guardian, and my new baby Mesmer. At least I can keep up Swiftness all the time on my Warrior. My Ranger though…… He’s become a farming bot.

I’m working towards the Confusion build on my Mesmer, though I’m not sure if I want to run the +duration food, or the +endurance regen food that I run on my Guardian, and Thief.

What food are you running, and what build are you using on your Mesmer?

That; “+duration food” should have been “+condition duration food”.
