Lol. Most ppl just saying DB should be strong at night cos its just another day for us. Oceanic does include Australia and New Zealand and we do enjoy our holiday. I just want to remind ppl we do exist.

It goes back to Ramelot, which was a south east supply camp defense where Starfleet Dental built something insane like 40+ flame rams, 10+ ballistas and 5+ trebs.

It was all a bit of fun, but people were really behind it and rallied to Ramelot to the death. Ever since then we have players that just like building random flame rams in odd places. The flame ram is sort of like the Maguuma mascot now.

Yep. As a Maguuma resident, if I’m hanging out defending a supply camp for a while, I’ll drop the ‘Flame Ram of Victory’ and fire off a Flame Blast after every successful defence of the camp.

wow mag, solid fight last night gj, I’ll say it again what a great matchup. I’d really like to see DB gain a higher population of NA daytime & prime time players.

Building flame rams to “waste supply” at a camp that is about to be flipped is also a decent strategy.. but difficult to time properly.

Don’t give up DB! We can still take this match.

Why are none of you thinking about the real reason they are making these rams? because they like to throw away like 30 silver per a camp? Or is it because people will stop and destroy them, thats why they are allways built right next to the supplies. They want them to catch your attention. Noe if they take all 5 camps and place rams in them that takes say 1 minute per a camp to remove. That gives you 5 minutes to run some allready madde and sitting in the spawn GOLEMS to the intended target and bulldoze through while people destroy rams in camps that the spawning mobs would take care of anyhow. Now the second reason .. if you want to just keep doing the loop and are a small group of say 2 people doing this and the rams dont get destroyed by players. The mobs will be busy trying to destroy them and you can pull them off the rams one at a time, which makes taking the camp back much easier. Dont buy into the “I’m just doing this to be cute” routine. There are real tatical reasons on the map to do this if you have the funds to. I don’t, so I’ll ruin it for them who do! Happy Holidays!

This is the other side for a little perspective. It was during week 41, SoS and FA… That was probably the worst beating Maguuma has ever received as a server, and probably would’ve completely demoralized a less insane server.

Don’t worry,
You were up against bigger opposition this week than you would have been any other week due to many of Maguuma and Yak’s NA players being able to stay up all night over the holidays to combat our prime time.

Spending another week in tier 5 won’t kill us

I knew about ramelot, but these camps weren’t defended and the rams were always the same place. It was 2 guys running around flipping camps and Mag/YB held nothing else on our BL at the time. I think they even had outmanned. In my experience camps when flipped always go to 100 supply no matter its state before flipping, so I don’t think it wastes supply.

It also doesn’t slow us down because you can move through them so combat isn’t limited and there is no reason to attack them because the guards will kill them off after we leave. I don’t clean them out after we leave because that takes time and hold no purpose. It was actually slowing down the guys building them because it takes time for 2 guys to build 4 rams.

My guess they are working on getting the title for building seige.

However, you’re not understanding a simple thing. The Holy Ram is an item of reverence to all Maguuman invaders. Creating new temples and shrines inside enemy territory is a free ride to Ram Heaven as stated in The Holy Book of Maguuma.

I don’t think I’ve ever scanned an incoming enemy group for one particular guild before, but I am always on the lookout for the AoN guys. They are like vampires or something.

No worry bro, i think many of us need a break too. Was wondering where is our fabled night crews yesterday.

I suggest all DB players to take a break together, so we can all be charge-up for next week match. It’s better than having half the server to go on holiday 1 week, and the other half in another week. Really bad for morale to be on the defensive the whole day

I for one will miss Dragonbrand next week. It’s a shame that we will have to fight those Ehmry scrublords next week who only fight for second place when they’re in tier 4 and have no understanding of borderland strategy.

Kick some kitten next week and come back to Tier 4 soon!

To the Maguuma Engineer that tried to stop a Dragonbrand charr necro from taking a sentry point last night: You play a support build, don’t you?

At first I ran away because all I saw were bullets, which I thought were either a Warrior or a Theif, neither of which I want to tangle with when there’s a hostile vet nearby. When I re-engaged, I very quickly noticed how little damage you were doing (hence my asking about a support build). Still, you put up a good fight. Was rather fun taking down a sentry and another player simultaneously. Made finishing my daily a lot more interesting than yet another AI warrior fight.

We are visiting t5 temporarily due to the vagaries of the ranking system’s math. But our prime-time crew (generally our weakest link) got so much better over this week that I don’t see us staying there very long. We’re definitely not the same server we were a week ago.

A lot of us were excited to move up a tier and test ourselves against you guys and we did. We saw where we were truly strong, and we saw where we could use some work and we’ve been working hard on those aspects.

I am slowly losing respect for Yaks Bend server. A majority of their posts are QQ propaganda. Posting exploits is bad practice I hope that guy has been banned. what a shame I thought you guys over at Yaks were stand up guys, you have proven me wrong. GL with that guys.

Meanwhile, Alliance commanders (myself included) have been commending you guys for being tenacious opponents. You’ve conveniently left that out. I guess you only see what you want.
