Yanno, I honestly think this matchup would be a lot more fun if DH was strong too. I noticed it tonight in Eternal Battlegrounds while commanding (gosh it was fun taking Klovan 5 times)! It seems as though if DH had the numbers to support a full rallying around WvW, DB would be more spread out and BP wouldn’t feel so “targeted.”

I think this is where all of our hatred is generated, it feels like DB is making it personal against BP (even though they clearly go for DH too). I think the difference is, DH is knowing full well they shouldn’t be in that tier. So… what would happen if DH could keep up with us? (They do a heck of a job without a huge population… gotta hand it to them). When they came on Eternal and took back their keep, we were able to go in and take back our entire corner.

DB, do you feel threatened by DH at all?

I don’t think we do feel threatened by DH. However they have put up good fights in the past, but it seems like they either lost a good chunk of their player-base or something. Honestly I’d rather see them get taken down a rung in the rankings. Not because I think they’re absolutely terrible, but because each time we get matched together it always starts off with them slightly ahead and then bam we always end up with a huge spread. This time I think is the worse than ever. I’d much rather them and us be in a WvW match that’s much more even. It gets tiring fighting the same people over and over. DH deserves a closer matched opponent as do we all and this match up is a testament to that.

To DH
When DB free fall to lower tier and we all feel disappointed. But we still fight and find a funny at WVW. we always have a habit with less ppl to face large group enemy, but no one complain that. We understand DH problems and respect all opponents. When you insist to fight and not give up, your server will be recover.

Precisely. That is exactly why I don’t wear pants.Mainly because when he died they had him stuffed, like that water buffalo, stuffed. But that’s okay, because when they caught him laughing it was uncontrollable, the mad cow, until someone sold him. This is why they never knew who did it in the lounge. Blaming more than a whole barnyard because they accidentally ate some bad metal out of a scrap yard. I mean, in the end regardless of the outcome, we’re all just another brick in the wall.

Don’t know if we have fought, but these past two nights I have had some amazing 1v1s with DB folks (I am an assuri necro from BP with the flaming shoulders).

I have typed and retyped this post a few times… basically what I am trying to say is: win or lose, I am honored by everyone of you who is willing to take the time to 1v1 me. I win some, I lose some.

Special shout out to the Dagger/? Elem from the guild NNM/NIN?/NLN?/NND? (not sure of the guild name)who after defeating me, kited away the moose I had aggroed, killed it, then let me self rez, then followed with /bow and /salute. True class.

Also a shoutout to a Guard in AOD? we had a great great fight that lasted nearly 5 min until the zerg from my server happened to come by and steamroll you. My apologies, that was totally out of my control.

There have been a bunch of other great fights as well. As this game ages I really hope the small scale 1v1, 3v3, 5v5 type of stuff starts to flourish. For that is IMO really where the fun is.

changing gears I really really wish Anet gave us subforums for each match up that they then archived or wiped at each reset. I really wish we could have a That was a Great 1v1 thread. That way folks like me wouldn’t have to hijack threads like this.

Anyways… all Drama and smack talk aside (and that most definately includes me). Happy New Years

It was the events leading up to this that made it upsetting. Krew has been throwing it’s weight around since the inception of the alliances, the only reason there was a BPA and PACT was because Krew refused to work with PACT forever. Then Krew finally decided to work with us, for a while. Some falling out was had between a few guild leaders, and once again polarized the server.

the fact that they moved to the server opposing us at the time is just salt in the wound.

So yes it’s upsetting, as an impartial guild watching something we spent time building up crumble because two people can’t get along.

Some of you people are making me ashamed to share a server with you…seriously lets stop complaining and fight, give people a reason to come back.

First things first Macabri, I can appreciate your viewpoint, however, when people try to defend a move to a competitor DURING the week you are going against them, people will hate. If you think my comments are bad, be glad you are not on our server. The things people are saying in open chat (which I will NEVER say about anyone in a virtual environment) could get them banned permanently. If you think GOAT is vindictive, then how do you think those that were left behind by Krew feel? They just don’t get on these forums to say it. Also, wouldn’t you be peeved and vindictive if a guild that some people openly vouched for in order to be part of the PACT we have turns tail and runs to the next highest server, which just so happens to be winning? If you were in our shoes, you’d probably feel the same way that we do on BP, and I don’t want to imagine how DH feels since they have lost 2-3 huge guilds, at least 1 to DB as well.

As far as the personal shots, I NEVER fired the first shot. I get bitter towards people that pull a Dice Clay on me and others and think it’s okay. No apology offered, no thinking (s)he is wrong, nothing. Just angst from that player because (s)he gets kicked from the guild. Then, said person sends in-game tells to said guild members and hierarchy, on the edge of harassment, and berates them constantly. Sorry, but that kind of behaviour does NOT fly with me and it never will.

Golem Ben is probably the fiercest on the server, no doubt.

Ahhh Plok, your trolling of the forums always makes me laugh – both when I was in and now out of GOAT. Wish I could tell you that I was going to miss it here at DB.

As to KREW moving during middle of the week and not waiting for reset – it was a decision leadership made. Personally, I can see both sides of the arguement – stay to the end of the week on a server we did not want to be on – or make a change and get on with enjoying the game again. We chose the latter.

Some of you may not agree with that choice and that is okay. When the decision to move was announced I did not agree with it completely either. But what is not okay is to take your disappointment and turn it into hate spam on the forums. Some have even turned it personal here.

Borlis Pass – if what some of you says about KREW is true and the role was reversed – I would not be trolling the forums. Instead, I wold be celebrating a new beginning for the server. If I was in leadership at Borlis right now, I would be working hard to bring the server together and make it a viable place for guilds to want to transfer there. Point blank – if Krew is as awful as some of you are saying – why are you spending energy blackballing that which has left you (and making yourselves look bad in the process)? Why not spend it instead on creating a better server for yourselves?

Finally, if KREW or any member of it is a bunch of drama queens, etc., I am sure Dragon Brand will figure it out.

I’m glad you moved over when you did, Springy. This week we need to really be figuring out how we’re going to all work together when next week comes. If we don’t, a lot of the new guilds on DB are going to get annihilated this weekend by the level of competition that we expect. Now that DB has queues pretty constantly with all of the new guys, we need to make sure that this all works FOR us (happy, productive zerg) and not against us (n00bs clogging the queue and not being organized enough to defend). This week has proven to be an unusual week, so we should take advantage of it and get our collective stuff together.

To expand: You were beaten by 5 guys last night when you had two siege golems and an arrow cart in the dark room. We had to have killed at least 15 of you in the dark room to find another 10-15 in the domed arena.

Not that I can say I’m surprised. I think all of you who camp the JP build glass cannon (lacking the cannon). A few days ago I ran into five [cola] right before the dark room. I knew it was a trap even though both sides waved to each other (for one, I just watched you kill one of my allies). I’m sorry, but when the opening 3-skill combo of a necro reduces all of you to 2/3-1/2 health without taking any damage in return, well…

They couldn’t fight themselves out of a paper bag that has been sitting in the rain for an hour, and they only proved it by filming themselves in the act.

The funny thing is everyone was hanging out, dueling 1v1, costume brawling, enjoying the fireworks, feasting at the banquet table, partaking in the keg, playing with the boxes of fun and just having an enjoyable New Years together. There were folks from both DB and BP, maybe even a DH or two all hanging out and having a right merry celebration and then Plok, in all his anger and bitterness, charges in swinging his sword and ruins all the fun. He got what was coming to him!

I think the problem with BP is they are a server with a high number of transfers and fair weather players. If they get blown out on friday, their morale is destroyed for the rest of the week.

I check different WvWvW post all the time. I just like to know what’s going on. Since it is a competitive atmosphere, I would say its his business who is winning or losing etc.

On another note, BP, last time we played you lost because you were hot headed. When you come calling out yaks and completely disrespect DB, don’t expect us to give up because you got a good start. I love my server and how it’s never really over for us. Our guys show great commitment under terrible circumstances and we bounced back.

Also, for every one downing DB for getting all the new guilds. We have wanted a NA crew, yes, but we never asked YOUR guilds to transfer; however, we do welcome them. We completely understand your loss and what your going through but please don’t hate us as a server for it. I have personally come to love match ups with DH. They are a great server and its always a clean match up (no fear of exploits, hacking, etc.). DB looks forward to out future matchups when you return to glory!

As much as I dislike KREW’s behavior in this video, I can’t stand this kind of comment either.

Plok seems to be that guardian, correct? What guardians do best is mitigate damage. Yes, the fight was, say, 6v1. But tell me, did he down anyone? No. He certainly was no bunker. He was downed far too quickly to be a decent bunker. However, he certainly did survive for longer than a full glass cannon. Does that feat deserve gloating? Certainly not for a guardian.

I watched the timer on the video. The fight starts at 16 seconds, and he gets downed for the first time at 26 seconds. If you’re keeping score, that’s 10 seconds. He then rallies soon after by an NPC being killed. He then heals, then is downed and quickness stomped at approximately 45 seconds. If you’re having trouble with the math, that’s approximately 30 seconds, with a rally off of an NPC.

Do not gloat for what amounts to a rather quick death with the variable of an NPC thrown in. It is no admirable feat.

And Krew, you disgraced no one in that video. It was not worth putting up, no matter your feelings against Goat or their guardian.

I’m curious to know what guilds Krew thinks has had the best fights in Borlis Pass so far.

That video was pretty funny. All they did was use low lvl skills and drag the fight out for the video. Im sure it could have been faster than the 23 seconds it took to drop the target if half the atkers skills werent on cooldown. Although i think the dancing should have been in sinc with party rock anthym. Why did krew bounce from bp? Thought u guys were one of the top guilds over there

I’m glad we have people like Preacher and Grit to be voices of reason. The drama phishers are starting to become kind of amusing, actually, making a wonderful impression of their respective servers/guilds.

Remember, Dragonbrand, the further we are ahead, the more humble we need to be. I hope we continue to be the mature and fun server we’ve been thus far.

I think the problem with BP is they are a server with a high number of transfers and fair weather players. If they get blown out on friday, their morale is destroyed for the rest of the week.
You guys gonna finally admit population is the biggest factor? Because i thought you were destroying all the lower tiers simply on tactics alone?

but at the same time BP did come in and say they were only gonna be here for the 1 round and actually did post a seperate thread calling out yaks and said they were coming for them. so at this point in time i do feel it’s appropriate.

of course the comment was made by an AR player who clearly can’t mind his own business…..

I check different WvWvW post all the time. I just like to know what’s going on. Since it is a competitive atmosphere, I would say its his business who is winning or losing etc.

On another note, BP, last time we played you lost because you were hot headed. When you come calling out yaks and completely disrespect DB, don’t expect us to give up because you got a good start. I love my server and how it’s never really over for us. Our guys show great commitment under terrible circumstances and we bounced back.

Also, for every one downing DB for getting all the new guilds. We have wanted a NA crew, yes, but we never asked YOUR guilds to transfer; however, we do welcome them. We completely understand your loss and what your going through but please don’t hate us as a server for it. I have personally come to love match ups with DH. They are a great server and its always a clean match up (no fear of exploits, hacking, etc.). DB looks forward to out future matchups when you return to glory!

the problem u guys are making is that this was 1 person who was kitteny and over confident, the rest of us however we were expecting a tough match and we werent expecting to win the 1st match we had, just because 1 person flames publically, that doesnt mean the server does, especially considering that person wasnt even a commander.

It may have been only one person, but he set the first impression that a lot of us got of Borlis Pass, and he gave a kittenty first impression.

I know not everyone on BP is an kitten/arrogant/whatever, likely far from it.
