Kain’s doing most of the trash talk itt. DB and Mag might not have the numbers at all times. But last night we routed your server so badly there was accusations of double teaming heh. And it wasn’t even like DB or us were doing anything magical. In Eternal after Kain lost SM, WM ran straight to SM even though we were taking everything including your keep. There wasn’t strategy. It was pretty funny to see that.

And as far as your night crew goes. That’s not particularly anymore scary than when DB had that sort of thing going for it. If servers don’t have Oceanic presences you guys will get free passes to higher tiers where your weaknesses will began to show.

As long as FA is pitted with a server that isn’t dead, they will be able to handle you guys a bit better round the clock.

lol we should just vote for a thread lock and try to start the next thread on a better note but thats probably just wishful thinking.

I’m interested in knowing where this assumption that Kaining has larger numbers than other servers comes from.

When I look around the different borderlands I always see 3 or 4 groups of no more than 20 people in different locations. as well as a lot of stragglers. Although a few groups do communicate it seems like those make up less than 25% of the total people on the map, and that number should be a lot higher. We need to start working on getting more of the other 75% involved and working together as one server instead of small groups. Until that happens our 20 person groups will just get crushed by 50+ maguuma/DB zergs.

We were over 30k about an hr ago. Mag and DB in the 15-20k range.

I think Kains bad players (sure, I’ll call them players) are illuminated more from displays like Danelon camp last night as mentioned in a few posts. Compound that with what’s clearly a culture of aoe karma train builds designed for fast unopposed map flipping and you can’t really blame others for commenting on it.

That of course doesn’t let players from the others servers off the hook, since even pugs should understand their class skills, combo fields and finishers, and just basic game mechanics and shouldn’t get melted by those zergs at all.

Exactly what I’m saying, but that point gets missed, we have work to do, its not going to magically get better overnight(our coordination and skills that is). Our server has a lot of work to do, this matchup is what we needed, sadly people want to turn a learning experience into a “wow blah blah that zerg blah blah” something along those lines. Kash is on the right track, our mentality has weakened on our trail up, we do not fight like we should and know this. So whats it gonna be, accept that we know this and just keep beating us on the field, or will we see more forum comments on how bad we are?

A few things I wanted to express:

1) WM…thiss has come up everywhere so just wanted to say something quick.
I do not believe they are botting…it is not a matter of liking or disliking theem, it’s a matter of witnessing them training themselves for hours every night until they get it right and hearing horror stories of “Mad Jang the General of Destruction” when someone does something wrong. Also…if thhey ARE botting, all that I’ve read implies they’re worse when botting. Why would you complain about that?…Just wondering.

2) Kaineng getting it’s NA butt kicked. Any of my fellow Kainites who try claiming we were losing due to any reason other than us needing to improve needs to go to a friggin corner and put the Dunce Cap on. THIS is why I wanted, more than anything, NOT to go to T2 yet…They beat us down in an equal fight as I and many others knew they would. Our Server has numbers, it also has many incredible “Parts”…But all the parts of a clock working independently do not make the clock work, it’s only when they work in unison that you get the right time. That is what NA Kaineng needs to improve on…Communication and Cohesion must be our goal, until we can accomplish that we’ll never be the “Best”.

3) Mags and DB. Thanks for all the good fights, sorry I haven’t been on, I am an NA and Oceanic “Commander”, I like to think I make -some- impact when I’m around, but internet is off for a little while so I can’t enjoy the awesome fights you’ve been giving us. -.-

4) Everyone: Please remember that everyone here is here to play a game and have fun…there will always be someone more skilled than you are, rather than wasting your time posting complaints on the Forums, vent to your friends…it is what they’re there for. These forums are a place for all of us to enjoy the company of likeminded fun-seeking individuals. Here on the Forums we aren’t enemies, we’re competitors.(That said, healthy competitive communication is always good…look at, for example, the CD Bounty that happened last week…it was fun for all sides.)

Because we are a bunch of scrubs. I wonder how others feel like getting beat by a scrub. Maybe I will taunt whoever I kill in WvW to let them know a scrub like me can beat a pro pvp player. Seems like DB and Mags are all pro.

Sadly, our NA is our weak point in regards to numbers, so I really can’t expect too much out of defense during the day time, since we haven’t been put up against a good amount of numbers like Mag can throw out. However, we’re not doing terribly bad against two servers in our BL at once. I’d appreciate everyone getting along and not throwing veiled insults at our coverage/skill.

waffle, please, no excuses. Kaineng has queues on all 4 maps in NA prime, so it isnt a ‘numerical weak point’.

If there is any timeperiod were weak in the numbers department it is euro-prime. And even in euro-prime we have guilds that fill in.

Eh, you had a ton of numbers. The instant we tried a breakout we got swarmed by a buttload of Kaineng.

It’ll be good for Kaineng players to get more practice this week, and for our guilds to improve upon communication. It’s also nice to know that no matter high up you go in tiers, there’s no short supply of omniscient players. What I wouldn’t give to see what you guys see, a sweeping view of every fight that has happened on every BL, sufficient to characterize an entire server as anything in broad strokes. It’d help a lot with meta-strategy if I could only achieve omnipresence one of these days.

In the meanwhile, I fought on one borderlands, I will only be fighting on our assigned map, and I will be restricting my commentary to the fights on that map. Most of the comments in this thread seem to surround Kaineng BL and EB, both of which I was not involved with. I was however on Maguuma BL, where we owned the NE tower and had made some incursions into Garrison before the map crash messed us up and locked the TL and RUN commanders out for a couple hours.

Nevertheless, besides having good defenses (which I commended Maguuma on in my last post), there wasn’t much to brag about from the other servers on our map. The only incursion into our keep happened while we were in Garrison and it was summarily dealt with. DB either failed miserably to take the NW tower or didn’t try for strategic reasons, thus negating the dual pressure dynamic that existed on the other two BLs. Besides taking Lake while we were north when I wasn’t on the map, they mostly just skirmished with us and sat in their corner (based on the fact the yaks on their side to Garrison almost never died until we sent a team). The only interesting thing I saw was a treb site hitting inner hills that I wasn’t aware of before and have noted for the future. The rest of the night consisted of field or camp fights where the side with more advantageous terrain tended to win.

Honestly? The decor could use some work. We hired a pretty bad interiors guy. Would not do business again. There’s also a leak in the claimer room, and a couple holes in the southwest wall that mice keep getting in. It’s really quite shabby.

Kaineng’s coordination and tactic is pretty much terribad from what I’ve seen. I’ve been running around in Maguuma’s BL and we have had nearly all our commanders hammering away at the Hills and struggling to keep Greenlake and the supply camp for over two hours. What other places we have just keep getting turned and steamrolled while our main numbers are at a standstill to the north of our spawn camp. Even then, you can drop a couple siege weapons and you’d down half our zerg. Though to be fair, Maguuma’s zergs are insanely huge and the culling is still an issue, but I guess that’s how other worlds felt against us. And good job[AoN], you guys are nuts.

I’m just disappointed I can’t get my map completion done hahaha.

You are correct, I merely am stating that we are not used to fighting such a large force during NA prime, and as such are a bit overconfident sometimes. I did not mean to insinuate that we had low numbers, but simply are not quite as cohesive a force as Mag or Dragonbrand is at.

Kaineng outnumber DB 24h a day. I think they have at least twice more players than us.

Thanks for the nice underwater play, Maguuma. Next time you should probably get your exotic UW weapons and level 80 masks. Team Legacy enjoyed swimming around Bay farming you guys.

TL is doing fine in Maguuma Borderlands. Sure, the guilds we were paired with may not have been the best at WvW but we’ve been using plenty of great tactics to keep Maguuma out of everyone’s hair. Just today they had their entire map focused on the 20 TL we had on map because we were hitting Bay from every side. Thanks for stereotyping the server as a whole Appreciate it.

This matchup makes me sad because maguuma and kaineng can’t face each others peak.

BTW facing WM was a lot of fun, but I think you need to split up a little more when surrounded. Being able to melt everything in front of you isn’t that effective when people learn how to get out of the way. I got so many kills running alongside your zergball then scattering when it turned around.
