2/1 Maguuma/Dragonbrand/WM Take 2
Suppose the easiest way to determine if it’s a multibox, is to have a warrior jump into the middle of them and use Fear me. A multibox shouldn’t recover from that, leaving the stragglers running in random directions.
I’m pretty sure they will recover from that and any CC which is what makes it interesting. But if you’ve watched bots in PvE, they also don’t seem to be affected by their pathing being interrupted (like by being in downed state). If you revived them they would get up and move to the exact same location as every other bot as if they’re moving to a precise x,y coordinate rather than a simple repeating macro.
Yeah, it’s not the entire server.
Yeah, it’s not the entire server.
But in some post up^ somewhere says wm is EB this week and ifu look at EB its all kaineng meaning kaineng server is using bots to help them win.
oh and for those who say kain bots and the botters are from korea

sorry bout your luck!
$4,300 fine and 5 year jail. Yeah let’s bot.
I had seen WM training sessions. Trust me they are all human players.

Yeah, it’s not the entire server.
I didn’t see anyone on the server Kaineng coming forth with a guild botting on there server either tho. Aiding and abetting a criminal offense which using those programs are illegal for this game. Just keep trying to defend that server.
This whole conversation has become ridiculous, I don’t think it really matters if they’re botting or not. The bottom line is many of us don’t find them as impressive as they were made out to be. Yeah, they can steamroll some of our pubbies. Woohoo.
Im going to go out on a limb here and suggest it is because WM likes to Pvp, against players.
Given that only servers in T1 and a bit in T2, will have enough population in their active play times to provide any form of competition for them, why would a guild that likes PvP transfer to tier 8 and spend how long without a decent fight, with boring matches week after week?
Theres a huge difrence in game style play in these videos heres another one not to old from WM if the other video watched next to this one u tell me whos boting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VSrx8GWwbM
I dunno these look like a different subset of WM. They actually spread out and range attack. Plus this is happening on Borderlands where as it seems the zombie WM guys are in EB.

I love my Ehmy Bay brothers, but they were handling that fight wrong from the beginning, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just their randoms.
Well im not even trying to acuse kaineng its just really not fair if they are using bots, im done now tho i hope they arent but who knows the proof is in the pudding.

that videos shows WM playing dramatically differently than the WM train video at the camp. they obviously aren’t all bots(if any), no one is saying they aren’t skilled or organized, people are just saying what see from WM is not what is shone in your video, but rather a mindless train of follow the leader. it’s just bad.

It’s the same WM as any. It happened on the borderlands because Kaineng had ~650ppt at almost all times and that was right below Ehmry’s spawn, where there was actually something to fight(however uncoordinated it was). You can hear Jang issuing orders the entire time, much like he would be in that Danelon video. If any of them get too far, he’ll even call them out to make sure they’re moving with the group. You can hear it when the filmer(Kaktiel) gets immobilized and Jang calls out his name because he’s not with the group. From the defender’s side you see a lynch mob running in unison. I see 60+ people in a teamspeak channel that I doubt are there just for show.

I spent a whole weekend fighting on various borderlands and came across various groups of WM. None of them seem out of the ordinary. Some of them like to bunch up and attack sure. But they respond to pressure like any other group. I didn’t find anything unusual until I took a few hours to play in EB. Now those WM guys in EB stood out to me the moment I fought them. I have already posted various tests to show how their behaviour was suspect.

Wow, that is a completely different WM than I have come across. Please send that WM team to fight in the open because that looks a lot more fun to fight than the one we have been seeing. Ask yourselves, which video impresses you more in terms of play, and which one would you rather have fighting for your server? Shouldn’t you be expecting the best from one of your best guilds?
Videos captured. Screenshots taken. Oh man what does it take to get botters banned? woop :P

Why is Kain acting like “we dont field our better players on reset” is a valid reason to be bad when #s are equal?
I cannot speak for Dragonbrand. But Maguuma doesn’t field its best players either. People get suck in queues all the same as any other server.
EXACTLY! Reset night is a lotto really. That is exactly why reset night isn’t a good indication of how a server performs or how skilled it is.
Why? Because your dedicated, hardcore, WvW guilds/players can be stuck in the queues all night while your more casual alt leveling pugs filled the slots.
Passed the reset night and even more into the week days gives a much better indication of the server since you will be fielding the players that actually dedicate their time to WvW.
Thanks for help clarifying that up.
Refer to the above posts to understand how wrong you are, thinking WM did not try their hardest.
If you are saying Jang Gun and WM zergball are the “pugs to fill in the slots”, then I understand what you are saying. Jang Gun was on since reset and was still on 10+ hours after reset when I was going to sleep.
Oh snaps! ONE guild was capable of fielding some of their members! Proof that it was all of them? Doubt it.
Funny how people think that ONE guild carries a server. Wait until you get to higher tiers and let me know how ONE guild does for that server as a whole mmmk.

if a guild is good enough, then one guild can carry a server in lower tiers, where you dont have full 24h coverage. more specifically, when that guild can field a comparable number to another server for enough of the day, then anyone you have in addition to that guild you have on is not a necessity.
the only reason one guild can’t carry in top 2 tiers is because all servers in top 2 tiers have full, or nearly full 24h coverage.
so yes, it’s perfectly reasonable to say that a has carried you thus far, no one said they would be able to carry you in T1 though, infact, the opposite is true. which is why relying on WM this heavily is not a good idea.
Give it a rest already~ useless boring video. They don’t play solo 1v1 scramblers. This video actually shows (look at each player and follow one) … that they are following in a less than coordinated way (but far more coordinated that other guilds). Bots move like >> – >> not >> – ^> … in every battle they are moving a little off.
Looks identical to many EU guilds, in fact some EU move even better ~ you know ones that kick the living crap outta NA guilds in open field combat. Because they move as a solid unit, buff the hell out of each other always. Going to hate on them too? …or you have something against WM because they are better at movement than most of us. the video shows more real player movement than anything else imho.
“I ain’t get wat yer sayin’ …when your too lazy to use proper English to communicate your message.
regardless of whether or not they’re bots, their playstyle is easily countered. it’s not effective against (groups) of players that are good at pvp.
Lol, good luck with that. Guardians bring up stability for everyone, so you cannot knock them down at all. AOE heals are casted by the elementalist for full health at all times. And to top it off, 100% critical chance builds with food buff to steal life on critical for even higher chance at 100% health. Hammer warriors at front lines to knock your entire zerg on their butts while the rest of the warriors and AOE kitten your zerg.
That is just the icing on the cake btw. More tactics….much more tactics….
Look up the guild Red Guard while you sit there. Watch their 15 man zerg wipe 30+ man zergs.
Pvp skills….you have got to be kidding me….lol!

You’re missing the point that these guys DO NOT REACT. We can’t take them head on, obviously, but a flank or any sort of moving to the side and they just run back and forth auto attacking ahead. This is not zerg busting.

Yet WM leading the transfers to Kaineng was the reason a lot of guilds (like RE, can’t remember any other guilds at the moment) followed suit.

Notice how NONE of them take any damage, and if they do it gets healed. If they receive a condition, boom its gone.
How does that happen? You stay on your commander AT ALL TIMES. You DO NOT run off EVER, EVER, EVER.
WM is just running a similar tactic, maybe not the same builds, but similar.

Actually they do react, but seemingly not all the time. We found out when we went up against them in lower tiers. Initially we were being wiped so we took a couple of days analyzing their movements, buffs, researching about their commander etc. We learned a lot. We then tried flanking tactics and managed to wipe out the zerg. They came back and we wiped them again. It was after this that they took us seriously and we started seeing variations in maneuvers and tighter coordination, and most interestingly, the zerg started to react to our movements.
Its interesting to watch them play, and I am still sometimes puzzled at the way they do thing.
Also one thing that would be nice to see is maybe a ball vs ball of AoN vs WM? I think that would be quite entertaining as well as educational.

Wait so you are posting a video of Red Guard who if watch actually does play with alot of skill. You are posting this in defense of WM? I don’t get what you are saying here. Person you quoted said WM does not react, you post a video showing Red Guard. Um I am totally lost or you are. Watch both videos carefully Red guard warriors rush in and a few of them use leaps to attack first. Red guard you can see people stay tight but they don’t all look like they are following one person they spread out and fight in tight group not stacked 100% moving all at same time.
WM does none of this. The move in a line and all move in that line. They roll into a group and attack with 1 and then roll past. I have been caught in zerg ball and lived because it passed me by, allowing me to rez 3-4 others and kill 1/4 of zerg ball from behind. This is not even remotely what Red Guard does. And you really are insulting Red Guard comparing them to WM EB zergball.

It’s not the tactic in question, everyone knows about zergballs and combo fields… It’s the implementation.
Watch any of the initiates in that video, look at 8:00 for example. They play like real people, they know where they’re going, what they’re about to, and how to adjust their formation to the positioning to completely destroy their opponents numbers. It takes 1-2 sweeps to take out a force of superior numbers, not 10 sweeps against inferior number to end up taking taking out 10-15 people total and also fail the objective… How would you address this?
Not sure why the argument is about the tactic itself. Of course combo fields work and they work very well when done with real people.
But I think culling these guys out as no skill as individual players is so missing the point. They don’t function as individual players they are a part of a sum, of a machine, its all in the name. They DPS as a unit, defend as a unit, fight as a unit.
I just thought it sounded funny.
