World vs. World
- Fixed an issue that allowed NPCs with Righteous Indignation to still take condition damage.
Not cool at all.

Looks like they nerfed omnom pies and ghosts-Food items that give special bonuses upon a critical hit now have an internal cooldown before they can produce the special bonus again.

ok so as a mesmer hiding and trying to stealth to run to portal people up will be hard as they don’t use agro.. other thing is, no more portaling people out if they are stuck in a wall.It’s ok that we cant kill the npc with RI that easily anymore(seems to make sense to me.)

Another patch not worthy of all the fuss. What a shock.
Wish I could have been there when the first large group hit a supply camp that was just flipped so I could witness the carnage.
Forgot one related to WvW:
- Cloak and Dagger: The player can no longer use this ability stack stealth by attacking WvW walls.
Elementalists, Thieves and Mesmers all got buffed one way or another.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry…
I guess it is time to jump on the overpowered bandwagon and roll one of them, rather than hoping Anet are smart enough to balance the Professions.

Forgot one related to WvW:

Finally a patch that makes people play the game as it was intended. This is a huge improvement for the casual players out there. A sad sad day for the min maxers that have to use anything that gives them an advantage over the other guy. Overall I’m happy with this patch. It will improve the game a lot for those that do not play the game in the min/max style. Which means more people in WvW which is good for all of us.

I’m not quite sure what that means. If that means no more portalling into keeps then we can safely say mesmer sweeps are done. I guess I need more clarification on what this means. I’ll add it to the main post though.

Would love clarification on this. Is the obstruction only between yourself and the portal entrance you click F on or is it at the opposite end?

I think there was an exploit for a mesmer to put down a portal on a keep/tower door and use it to get through the door.

Mesmer portal = dead.
NN cleaning keep/tower.
All the change to the Mesmer portal is just the ability to use it to get around obstructions AFTER it is placed. Like if it is placed on a keep gate and people can just portal past the gate this is all done without the Mesmer being inside the keep. The placement of the two portals is still as the Mesmer pleases given that it is with in a certain range… That is all really… Its not a nerf as much as it is a fix to a bug/exploit issue.

it means that u cant portal your friends out if they are stuck in a wall, but it also helps to prevent exploits where a mesmer gets rezzes through lets say watergate at bay and pots a portal through that watergate and people outside can take it,or someone dies and when the keep is taken their body is inside the wall, he gets rezzed through the wall puts portals down and get people in. that is what obstructed means. not line of sight that u need to see the port infront of u in order to use it. u should be still able to put put a port down inside keep and jump outside and portal people in.
oh btw, can still be rezzed through wall though

Some guys are misunderstanding the mesmer’s portal update.
Anet forgot to nerf the ability to revive people through obstacles.

actually it doesn’t. Now you are forced to move some bodies to your camps to prevent the flip around min 05:00~00:00. This encourage the zerg-split a lot, which is good imho.

The normal portalling into a keep/tower tactics should remain unchanged.
the patch doesn’t say “Portals won’t work if there’s an obstruction between the entrance and exit portal”, it says that you can’t interact with a portal if there’s an obstruction between you and it.
So you can’t take advantage of clipping to exploit yourself past gates

- Removed the ability to use many karma related items in WvW.
Gears and skale venom are karma items I believe.
kitten patch which shows how little anet cares about class balance in wvw. No confusion nerf? No bunker ele nerf? Instead bunker eles get BUFFED in wvw? I am just truly blown away by much disregard anet gives wvw balance. They just don’t give a kitten at all.

Yeah they are going to be gone with a few others…and food bufs that proc on crits also got nerfed with an internal timer

One thing that I do not see mentioned is the inner gate from the Watergate gate at Garrison has still not been fixed. It is still a paper door.
Axe necro got slightly buffed – I approve.

Splitting your zerg isn’t going to do anything if the enemy team takes a zerg and does a loop around the map. You’ll still have to zerg up and counter them. The change isn’t all bad, but 5 minutes is just too long on a camp.

- Ranger: Guard: Pets will no longer guard areas that should be inaccessible to them.

Agree with that, 5 mins is a bit excesive.
