As Far Shiverpeaks stormed into bay, and Blacktide raged ahead to meet them…. the WvW servers went down for an update -_-

Only played for a few hours, but it does look like we’ll have to really work for it this week!
Seen some good play on all sides, looking forward to more

Had great action so far, here’s to hoping it will continue throughout the week.

Good to see you again Elona Reach, I hope you will again be the worthy opponents you were last we met you.
I would also like to welcome all of you from Blacktide, I hope you will give us a good and fair fight as well.

We went into this match guns blazing and we were not disappointed! Blacktide marched in on Elonah BL and went for the kill, Elonah then turned to their own BL and simply took it all and eventually it got really even.

Really looking forward to this week! May the best server win.

Amazing night ( on EB ) Elona’s crew beet Us (Far Shiverpeaks) at the morning heh ot it happens from all the fights to night the best 4 me was defence SM & Langor tower … great night and THX 4 good fair game …

but sad to see far shiverpeaks have now some exploiters

Those were some awesome and tough fights last night. I am looking forward to the rest of the week, especially if the score stays this tight.

I believe it’s common knowledge that the Russians on Blacktide and Far Shiverpeaks don’t really get along.

I don’t understand the problem. It’s not against the rules to spy and transfer to other servers.

Too many people approach WvW as if it’s some kind of open field 5v5 chivalry contest.

i know spying is not against the rules or something but since its known on both servers u should not wonder if u get atks form both sides cause thats not against the rules as well.
especially if ur spy even trys to talk one server into fighting the other. i for myself dont like such tactics and will work against it

Good fights today. Didn’t havethat much fun for quite a while. It is a real shame, that BT main strength is, again, not on our prime-time, would have been really interesting to measure real power. Oh well, when I left we were leading.

Btw. Maybe you can help me – I believe I saw one guild on blacktide with tag CiR (if I am not mistaken). Few hours ago they tried to push our defense on Redbriar tower. I gotta say, when those guys came in force, I actually felt a difference. Chaos could just be scared away from the tower, but CiR (again, if I am not mistaken) just did not let go! Very good enemies in my opinion.

Elona is probaly the best server we have played againts. They are rly nice organized and amazing that they as a german server can have so many people on at nights.

We had 10 guys running around the garrison and we did not see any golems. The group that made it in to the garrison just ‘appeared’. When we wiped them we ran all over the garrison looking for a Mesmer and checking all the gates and walls and yet they got back in. It seemed fishy to us.

Plus what is up with these people transferring and wasting supplies. We had 4 rams in our garrison at one point (not saying it was from BT).

Keep it clean guys, this is a fun matchup so far.

Keep an eye out on the “Garrison waterway vista glitch”. Saw the russians use that more then once to get to the inner door without hitting the outter at all. They often do it on mass.

Other then that and the odd “bad egg”, it fun fighting them. Maybe it because all xaoc seem to be glass cannon spec and often get a bunch of kills before dying when greatly outnumbered

As i said when we fight you in t1, Elona Reach is the best organized server in EU. XAOS is doing a good job also. As a guild that raid EB i must say that there was no cooperation with DE. Good luck on the field

I just woke up and was thinking of giving a resumé about last nights endevour on EB.

It was a long and painful siege on SM by us in FSP (Elona had possession of SM at this time)

Elona had alot of trebs shooting nonstop on our first line of defence towers Quentin Lake and Durios, the walls were constantly going down. Luckily we had enough strenght to keep the towers from getting taken by groups of Elonas coming in from SM and sometimes we even got DP by BT who came north through Umberglades supplies. We had a (burning) commander online who got sick of defending and decided to rally us all and storm SM.

It took about half an hour of gathering the supplies and courage to charge, about 8PM we stood outside East Gate of SM with 4 rams pounding on the fully reinforced doors, the reaction from Elona was minimal and when the gate was at 10% Elona finally got their wits about them and starting to repair the gate, focusing their trebs and catapults at us, they were swift on defence from our assault.

Meanwhile our main force were struggling outside east gate of SM, we had a zerg of BT coming in through Umberglades to take our camp and the tower Durios. Luckily we got reinforcements from a furious guild (LsL) that were able to reclaim what we lost.

After this we had some people scouting north and saw that BT also had a siege on the north wall of SM so this forced Elona on focusing at defending both north and east.

We were able to continue pound on east gate for some time, the supplies in SM went to 300, then 200, then the supplies in SM finally reached 0. We thought this meant we finally were getting through outer walls, we were wrong! Elona kept defending bravely and pushed us away although this was all Elona could afford to do right now unless it would be taken.

Due to the massive assault on SM, Elona was locked in position and spending all their people on defending (I didn´t see any activity in BT or FSP territory but there might´ve been). Elona was so good at defending east gate that we werent able to keep any sieges at all, they also had alot of arrowcarts on us so we couldnt even get near the gate, we decided to move up outside the eastern wall with catapults on the ground while leaving a small force at the gates as a diversion.

We were able to break through the outer walls of SM at about 9 PM, we swarmed over the outer area and killed anything on the outer walls, we set up sieges on the south outer walls hoping to get through south gate.

Meanwhile BT breached the north wall and we all thought SOMEONE was gonna capture SM be it us in FSP or BT.

Elona fought hard to destroy us in our assault with their trebs nonstop on our force instead, stopping every siege we tried to build. It´s practically impossible to break fully reinforced gates without siege engines.

We lingered outside their inner southern gates for some time hoping to break through with alot of effort but suddenly a zerg consisting of about 30 people of BT came down from outside SM. I thought they were gonna kill us and this was the end of our siege but instead they just used our opening on the east walls and ran north inside SM. (Apparently Elona had somehow repaired the north outer walls and destroyed the sieges that BT had). Things were looking bad, if Elona lost the pressure from BT they would focus their entire force on us!

It didn´t take long before the end, BT were slaughtered inside SM and sadly they gave up on putting any pressure on Elona. They instead came down and tried to capture Durios with a force consisting of about 30 players. We decided that we weren´t gonna give that pleasure to BT cause we had trebs that we needed (Elonas trebs were focusing on defending atm with other objectives so our sieges in Durios were able to hold)

Elona got a breather and were able to repair and bring up the outer walls, sending a group out to destroy the sieges we had outside the east walls. They sent people scouting and finding the trebs we got built in durios and removing that threat easily.

After 3 hours of siege Elona finally secured SM. Good job guys.

Burning Arrow is the name of our Commander. She is agressive and good commander but without masive group its imposible to take SM. Elona Couldnt take it from us before end of our raid at saturday morning.Problem is lqck of preasure from BT players. To reach and take SM u have to push from both sides.

Assuming we’re talking about the same attack, you can’t have been looking very hard. We ported an Omega golem and three Alpha golems to the southwest gate, and then ported them to the inner gate when the outer gate went down. We also never actually got wiped. After the golems went down we ran around the walls destroying all the siege and then after waiting several minutes we ran back around and continued taking down the inner gate. We had plenty of mesmers (including myself) to portal people back in when the outer gate was repaired.

Golems seem to be affected by culling by the way. We had a lot of players in that attack (combined forces of DkR, CIR, ThUn and HRSY), so it’s possible you couldn’t see the golems due to that. You still should’ve seen the outer gate go down (twice) though.

T’was one of the best attacks I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of.

No, I don’t think there’s a server coalition, but i wouldn’t be surprised if the individual servers had decided to focus on us for their own reasons.

Also as far as I know there is no alliance with ER. In fact we thought on FSBL. you two were teaming up on us lol.

One thing that makes me wonder is where all the BT players are? Last week we’ve had queues on EB whole day, and this week, when we need players, it’s empty. Always empty. Where’s the full population server we’ve been for last months?

Today we’ve been defending Ogrewatch for like 30mins, FS were the attackers. We’ve had all the upgrades, and 700supplies, many sieges around etc. Thing is, you just showed up there when we were like 3-5 from guild to watch around, and immediately started building siege. Fortunately for us, you didn’t really manage to finish them =p

Rarely I’ve seen an organized attack, so we called some of our forces, which we lack. half of us were defending Anzalia from greens, rest ogrewatch. A little fail on our side, was to fire the guild buffs like half way into the fight.

We’ve been rebuilding the sieges like 3 times, repairing gates. We were obviously fewer. After like 15mins we knew it’s not gonna end well if we just stay on the walls. Especially that you’ve had trebu, 2 ballistas (or 3 later) and catas on ogre camp. Some of our force tried to get through the ogre camp entrance but that’s impossible with that many siege there.

So few of us made a team and went around to hit you from Durios side. First time we’ve managed to get the trebu down, then we all died. You’ve rebuilt it obviously. The only way we could push you off was to try again, better. Luckily for us our commander had a few minutes to spare – we took 6 ppl, went there, build a ballista on west side of the camp, on the hill. Before you noticed(or at least it seemed so) the treb was down, we’ve defended it for a bit to take down your siege. We’ve took down it all I think in 3 tries total, our force could enter, we pushed to Durios.

We did manage to take Durios, problem was to defend it. Trebus on SM, your keep was close – quite tough one. After so long defense, a one I rarely have, we thought we’re safe for a while and can focus greens back again. There was a plan about WC. I with very few of us stayed on Durios, rest went Anzalia or to defend the trebus on our keep that kept firing SM north.

We lost Durios. Soon after we’ve realized that fully upgraded Ogrewatch we’ve been defending for last 30mins was lost. We’ve left it for 2 – 3mins to help out other guild on Durios. That was enough for Elona to get there and zerg the gate. I’ve no idea how much they were, but people from the force that went Anzalia said that there was like nobody.

Clearly you guys know how to fight. Whether was it pure luck or great spy somewhere there – guess I’ll never know, although I’d like to. Gonna be an interesting match-up. And definitely not easy on us. I just hope we will manage to stay in T1.

PS. If we’d have the same numbers of ppl as you do it would probably look different – you seem to drop very fast. No healers, only glass-cannons or lowbies, or all of that mixed up.
