Looks like Borlis Pass is still beating DR by about the same as last time we played you guys. Is your strategy still the same or will we be surprised during the week. In our last match-up against AR and DH we always played poor on the weekend but regained the lead and steamrolled during the week. Hopefully you will have some answers to keep it close.

DR is a bit different from the time you faced us. One of the main points is that most of us are just playing for fun, and not points. So hopefully we see some good fights. As far as winning the matchup, we will see how it goes. I doubt we have any strategy for that.
Had some fun with bp roamers this weekend. As long as you don’t become a 1 zerg machine it should be great.

So every BP PvP player is terrible because of the JP people you met? I don’t know if you realized but a lot of the jumping puzzle people are PvE people.

Also, have you met GOAT or WAR? Instead of complaining how terrible we are at the JP, go out there and find a real challenge in the ACTUAL WvW.

And I’ve probably seen GOAT on the battlefield but don’t remember anything in particular, WAR is great on the battlefield but from what I’ve seen not very good in PvP (it’s an opinion, QQ more). Well, if you’re looking for great PvP players, go to Heart of the Mists. From what I know, BP does not have any roaming guilds (I think only HUNT).

So don’t come on the forums and make fun of how bad our players are or we’ll start making fun of how bad your server is at WvW and how the only reason you’re ‘close’ in the match up is because of the potential threat of Ehmry Bay.

I find it funny that EBay prefers hitting other BL besides EB. I’ve only seen them not have outmanned when somebody is taking SM.

I’ve been seeing exactly the opposite actually. At least in my timeslot. We’ve been kind of occupied with BP. You’re ALL opponents to me though, so I suppose it all depends on who is in front of me at the time. Usually BP, again. Since they seem to be the more agressive in my time of play. -Shrug-

Reading this thread so far should be an object lesson to some here on EBay. This is what it sounds like to complain to Yaks and Mags about their players having no skill and simply overwhelming everyone all the time with their guilds of only thieves and mesmers. It’s blanket statement exaggeration and in poor sport.

This time we’re on the other side of it… being the larger server. Our “groups” probably look like faceless skill-less masses of whirling button mashing roflnoobs to a server with a lower population, the same as Mags and Yaks looks to us though un-objective eyes. We know what we are, and we know what we normally face from a higher population server up a tier. So remember that and keep classy while we are in this matchup, the next, and so on.

I agree for Yaks, but not for old School Mags. Mags has been the only server I have faced which I have ever thought ill of and it has nothing to do with numbers. But that is a story for another time. I won’t discuss any of that in this thread. To head off inevitable de-railing this has nothing to do with current day Maguuma.

On a side note, I have actually faced servers which fit your sarcastic description to a T, so they do exist. Your point on perspective is valid however.

We did, against people who shouldn’t have been in the tier they were. It angered me when it happened for three weeks in a row. Then we got three weeks of getting our butts stomped by people with twice our numbers. And now we’re here. And I hope we stay here.

The fighting in this tier and T6 the last week has been the best fighting I have done since starting WvW months ago. I can only imagine this is what Anet had in mind when they built WvW. Sure there are still problems but if this back and forth fighting was in every tier, WvW would be a smashing success IMO.

Immediately following this post.. I saw that EB attacked BP and then BP went and returned the favor. This was in contrast to what I had seen so far. I have spent most of my time on the Eternal map this week and the cooperation between you two.. Well, I expected one of you to be pregnant.. That is, until right after I posted. I am glad I have to eat my previous words. This is a three way. A very close one. It’s a great fight and there is no need for 2 of us to form any kind of alliance to defeat the 3rd. Let’s enjoy this even match because once one of us moves out of this match-up.. it likely will be very uneven and not in our favor.

Cause nobody likely wants multiple shots of me feeding worms all throughout this thread.

- It must be Yumiko (my ranger).
- Guild tag must be clearly visible for it to count. Shouldn’t be hard to tell it’s me, there’s all of about six of us from [SLVR] who WvW and I’m by far the only one whack enough in the head to specialize in ranger. Plus, I have a brown bear in tow.
- Bounty paid only to the account of the first person who posted the pic here. Does not count for other folks in the shot. If you guys split it somehow that’s on you cause it’s at that point your money.
- I will not drop hints as to my times of play in WvW, or my location therein. I will however let my corpse linger for a short period to facilitate greater chances of finding me.
- Keep it clean. I can appreciate a good joke (as I tend to tell many), but nothing lewd or offensive please. (Means no “bagging”!)

For anyone potentially complaining about the bounty price. One, I’m not wealthy for cryin’ out loud! Secondly, good luck getting 25 silver pieces for anything else ingame that equates to all of about 5 to 10 minutes of your personal time (Monthlies only give like 50s, c’mon…). The bounty will be paid by ingame mail, or if that doesn’t work I will arrange a meeting with you and deliver it personally in LA via guesting on your server.

Careful. Don’t stoop to Kain or CD’s level in the PvDoor catagory lol. I don’t mind so much though, so long as it is known that possible retaliation is all fair and good. It’s not in us within this server to hurt feelings (minus maybe our beloved Archer XD ). We come to play, and if necessary, play hard.

Oh how nice of BP to point out all of DR’s flaws after we finally meet again since… I don’t know, I got here right about when Maguuma showed up, and since then we’ve been fighting against some pretty tough opponents that kept trouncing us, even though according to them we’ve always had superior numbers. (I like to call my superior numbers Harvey.)

Just remember, when you point a finger at us, four more are pointing back at you!

Which is why when I point, I use a swagger stick. The swagger stick is also of some use on the heads of our DR militia who, after a few months of having barely nothing to defend, and barely any hope of succeeding, now have not one but two opponents that we can actually beat. And honestly, that’s not something we’ve expected.

So excuse our current bumbling around. It can be a bit embarrassing showing up on a fortified tower being attacked by BP with a treb, with five guys unable to think of what to do, when there’s a mortar right there that I promptly used for good effect. It really is a new thing to us, having mortars we can actually shoot, you see. They seemed rather impressed when I put it to good effect. Perhaps, even more impressed by BP’s persistence in building trebuchets on that hill while I was raining mortarfire down on them, but I digress…

I see you’re pretty proud of being ahead by over, what, 20k point? That’s… that’s good, I suppose. I mean, the other guys, they… well, never mind. Enjoy that lead for now. It might increase, if our forces become demoralized and sneak off to PvE instead. What I’m hoping for, however, is that the longer we see that we actually have a chance to hold our own against you, we’ll start to get organized and actually beat you back down.

I’m also hoping for an in-game swagger stick. Enough with these silly backpacks that flail around because there’s an Asuran bound and gagged inside them, I want something to thwack people with!

Eh, not to necessarily sound accusatory, but I highly doubt this would be different had we done nothing lol. Backing the notion of proceeding to own someone’s entire map solely on the basis that they sacked just one of your bases is in my mind overcompensation on the level of using napalm to shave one’s head because you don’t like your hair. =P

I can always be mistaken, however… Wouldn’t be the first time. Nor the last, undoubtedly.

Actually, the point I was going for is a guild trying to golem rush at an odd hour can work well. On an active server though, this could backfire by generating enemy activity at a time when your own server is not so active.

If we had 24/7 coverage we’d be bouncing between T4 and T3 ala Yaks and Mags right now. The only reason you are seeing us here in T5 is because we would wake up to a completely blue CD map with a “So long and thanks for all the empty keeps” message from CD’s [TOFU] pinned to our home spawn point door 3 out of 5 weekdays. Twice I woke up to EBay ticking 0 points last week.

I can’t say for sure because I don’t stay up all night that often, but as far as I know we don’t have a SEA timezone WvW guild.

We’re tired of fighting AR. It’s always the same old stuff. Once word gets around that we’re in a new tier… old wrestlers come out for their chance at fresh blood and new tactics.

What a garbage server Borlis Pass is. I was having loads of fun from Friday-Sunday when the scores for all 3 servers were within 100s/1000s of points and it was an extremely fair match – one of the fairest in a while

Then Sunday night/Monday morning comes.

All 3 maps are capped. Borlis Pass is 20k ahead of everyone else. What a PoS server. You ruined a potentially great match up by PvDing all night. Hope you had fun for 2 days that it was actually fun.

I am not sure if they could keep their oceanic/euro people from playing.
The score is pretty meaningless anyway. We were loosing to EB our last match up but had lots of fun. We were loosing less points to SBI, but it was crappy. I’d ignore pvdoor and concentrate on making their repair bills larger. And if people leave because of a 20K difference in score, let them go.
