Looking forward to some WvW action tonight! Been largely unable to the last day or two

We still miss you HoD and NSP.

Should we just get a jump on next week and start a 4/12 thread already.

It’s not like anyone will leave this tier soon with the bottom server winning like this.
Especially with T8 heading towards a 920-920-920 spread.

Good morning my T7 friends! It is another glorious day to pay repair bills! Love the fights on the battlefield, let’s keep the fighting there.

I would also like to give a shout out to ET and FC for showing their stuff in T8. GoM, don’t really know you guys but you are very competitive and even with the strong start and fading back to third it looks like you are not going to go silently into the night, keep up the hard work!

Here is what bothers me about SF.

I fight 2 people over the enemy south camp. Kill ICE commander and another + all npcs. So i think , hey good fight , was fun. I hang out there figuring they would be back. They bring back 8-9. lol some how i killed all 9. Was fun but very iffy with that many people to fight. So im like, ill wait some more! this is a blast. waiting …. waiting …. waiting … then BLAM!!!!

I think, unless something changes, SF will take another 30-40 rating from both NSP and HoD, move up to tier 6, dropping either DR or IoJ down, and it’ll be a much more fun fight for everyone involved.

IoJ and DR seem to be about where NSP/HoD are in activity.

DH and SF are both relatively zergy, and that’ll make for much more fun fights.

I just don’t see anyone moving out of T8 any time soon, the scored are nearly dead even, and their ratings are about to be hovering around 900; as it is, I don’t see ET making a big enough push to gain 70+ rating to move up.

I feel bad for whoever (IoJ, DR) gets stuck in Tier 6 when SF moves up.

Based on what DR and IoJ look like as far as rating, and this week being probably the biggest point gain SF will get assuming similar activity, it’ll take a couple weeks for SF to gain the rating needed to showdown with DH. DR only lost 20 rating and IoJ actually gained some, so SF probably needs a couple more weeks of similar beatings to take their action to tier 6.

Yeah, we will probably be here for a couple weeks, if not longer.

As long as the rate of badge gain stays constant or improves, I’m totally okay with this. Moar badges for all!

I get it…It is funny because you clicked all your skills, and then face rolled them at the tower boss. That is SUPER funny guy, you are so funny and cool. You play a mesmer too, which is a tough class, so I am stoked that you posted this video I think I could gain some knowledge watching your prowess.

I killed 2 , with SF npcs on me. took the camp.
I killed 9 or MORE while in the camp. Spiked everyone of them. while it was MY camp.
i waited and waited, even upgraded the camp.. 15 or so came to get me out. more are there , just not in the final screen shot. They kicked my face in. but i made them work for it.

Did i mention there was 2 commanders there for just 1 solo Nsp guy in a camp.

Pretty kitten impressive then, I would add, not to detract from your feat(s), but merely to add some clarity knowing the full story now. You solo’d “9 or MORE” while the camp was yours, meaning that you had some NPC help and quite possibly and RI’d Supervisor blasting them for mega dmg.

Again their bad for losing to you, just wasn’t sure of the entire story from the first post. Good on ya.

Sidebar: I know everyone thinks “commanders” mean that they’re special people 100-100 times (or some seem to think theyre nubs 100-100 times). The thing I would add to the thought process is that:

1. they have the same skills, just a tag, so downing a commander is just as good as downing anyone else.
2. Some commanders are “credit card”, meaning that they just bought the gems/traded the 100-gold and voila.
3. If you are not wanting to fight a “zerg” of people then knowingly engaging a commander is probably a bad method for achieving this goal, as if there is anyone on the map that is likely to be alone, it would never be a commander.

Also notice how I drop 2 portals down right on top of each other so when enemies run through it nothing happens because I don’t use any glamour traits. I’m specc’d for WvW not this PvP stuff these 5 man groups are talking about.

I know, I have a lot to learn. I’m not really good at this WvW stuff and am still trying to learn. All the WvW videos I see have clicking in it so I’m trying to switch over and blow all my utilities at the same time. I’m still trying to get used to not using my weapon abilities as much but that’s something I’ll just have to learn as I go. My play is by no means perfect, and it fails me many times (I just edited the video for the parts where it worked really well). I think I’m getting better but I have a long way to go!

Some don’t have a sense of humour. When you started using all your skills randomly and the golem started taking the portals, made me almost die.

Also, to XOXO members in SF BLs right now, stahp my brain can’t process what ones real. 3 Mesmers all running clones there’s like 12 name plates. Now I know why no one fights you fairly, the annoyance of fighting one mesmer is trippled. Still, very good strat combining a bunch of mesmer clones with confusion. I just give up sometimes and start jumping around.

PS: Did I mention that fighting mesmers is annoying?

Edit: We just tend to hear a lot of kittening and whining about the zerg because, well, we zerg. LOL, makes me laugh because it works for now but once we get to a Tier that has more even number we will have to switch to/learn new strategies and tactics because the zerg will not be as powerful. But as the saying goes, if it aint broke, don’t fix it, right?

To each their own, it really comes down to what is most comfortable to you that gets the job done. I use a combo of keyboard and then clicking where it is needed. I think my use of the mouse for looking/movement is a holdover from Unreal Tournament when I used to play that ALOT. It didnt change with GW1 and I still find myself clicking alot when things get hectic and my fingers decide to hit ~ instead of 1 or W instead of 2, etc. Makes for some interesting moves while in combat!

My biggest mis-press which happens a lot is my E key, which happens to be bound to my elite so it is really annoying to waste that skill when I don’t need it.

Also, I assume that breh is suspended right now since he hasn’t responded within a second to each one of my posts. I await his return!

Ok zerging is fine, and it works to win.. That is great, and I have no problem with it.. The thing I don’t get is say you have 1 NSP guy running around not even capping anything… You are running around in your own BL(that you own all of) with 20 guys and run across him.

Do you 1- LOL LOOT and all run him over or 2- Jump around in circles and someone engages him 1 on 1. SF -always- picks #1, which is annoying.

Another example 3 guys standing outside your tower, obviously not trying to cap it just looking for some pvp. Nothing is going on, your BL is in no danger and you have 6 people in the tower. Do you 1- Hop on ballistas and shoot siege at the group for 20 minutes. Or 2- Jump down and engage them away from guards and have a fun fight. Again, SF always chooses 1.

These are just a couple examples of why I find SF annoying(I could list them all day). Yes I’ve met some cool people on SF, no I don’t hate the whole server or anyone for that matter.

This is just the difference between the servers in this tier atm and why SF gets a lot of flack from us. In all of those scenarios both NSP HOD and GOM have many groups who would have picked option #2, SF doesn’t seem to have any at all..

Again, I don’t hate SF, I don’t have a problem that you have numbers.. I don’t have a problem with you zerging objectives(thats how you take them). I just find it annoying that it seems there is no one at all on the server ever just looking for a fun engaging fight in the open world.

That would be Stalagta. To be clear I don’t have an issue with someone running in a tower 1v1 when they are losing, even though I usually don’t even spike people I down who stick around and fight 1v1 to the death.. I just found it amusing all of them ran like that.

But yes Stal is very good, we stole her from HOD .
