Oh don’t worry, those guys know me well enough that I have no problem having the 2v1 on someone other than myself. It was in good taste and good natured fun. There are multiple ppl that pm me all the time with similar notions, especially if we are attacking them. “Jed, go bother someone else!” “Go kill on the other side of the map, we like our houses over here,” “Jed, I’m camping your body :P” I’m probably one of the few commanders that could care less about getting trolled by other servers, it sometimes riles me up to fully wipe servers off maps at times. I miss Jerico and Agg…we used to PM each other, “Hey, you just got wiped by only 15 of us.” Then we would wipe them and I’d respond, “Yeah, your zerg just got wiped by our 5 man havoc!” Both of our teams pretty beefy at that time with like 25+ and then add the pugs in

Why even debate this stuff? SoR has a very dedicated core the same as other servers. That core obviously wants to win, but they accept when that may not be a possibility and then call it “playing for fights” because you have to find a way to have fun even in defeat. In WvW, 2/3rds of players taste defeat every week, so it is up to each individual to find alternative ways to define their fun other than winning.
Also, Blackgate had the numbers to compete with JQ, but never had more numbers. By that logic, until someone “out-coverages” JQ, every other Tier 1 server is the proverbial underdog.

You know what? SoR found this really happy medium, where we can still play for the fights AND play for points. Posts and posts and posts on how SoR should play for points, then we play for points, then we start winning. Now it’s: Why you guys play for points I thought it was about playing for fun!?
Oh and to top it off, the weekend. Still the BEST days of the week for WvW.
I might add to inject some levity into the thread, that JQ. I used to not like you so much when we came up from T2, but after weeks of reading some of the downright hilarious posts on these forums, I can see why people have stuck around on your server, just the impression on here, it has got to be one fun server to be on.

While you beat your chest for beating us once, everyone knows the reason why and we are all laughing at your server on its way down.
Who said we’re breaking? SoR became Sanctum of Transfers with the huge guilds that recently came into their server so it’s been a challenge to keep up with the coverage wars seeing how we were already lacking. &everyone knows JQ has 24/7 coverage. This isn’t something that Blackgate isn’t use to.
Blackgate has and always will be the underdog that never gives up. We’ll still play for first no matter what tier we’re in

I’m not complaining, because was all perfectly fair, and your 13-2 record as of right now is what it is. But by that same token, you can’t call foul if SoR starts beating Blackgate due to what you believe is a larger mass of people, otherwise, your own argument invalidates your shiny win/loss ratio. You keep pointing out how BG is the underdog and play as if SOR never was, while more then 70% of your wins vs SOR were while SOR had less then half your servers coverage at the time. Not to mention the win BG had vs JQ, and the amount of shady things that happened during that match.

The medal also looks sweet next to SBI and SoS, and we all know what happened to those servers.
It looks sweetest next to JQ server though I’d say.
SBI & SoS had huge problems from within which was the cause for their implosion. It’s very noticeable that the same problem has moved to SoR now.
I for one am lucky to be on Blackgate, a server that doesn’t have any sort of negative internal issues & where the entire community treats each other as though we are all family. Much respect for my fellow beastgater’s Fight on!
