I wasn’t expecting a lucrative reward for the season 1 meta. All I really wanted was a skin like what we get for living story metas. A wvw specific skin that I could put on to show I was there.

Maybe a town clothing piece with a print of Devon’s face on it giving two thumbs up. And you couldn’t wear it in WvW.

Absolutely agree here. I don’t want to be showered in riches for getting all the meta achievements, however WvW is lacking in anything really exclusive and special.

Everything you can get in WvW can be achieved much easier and quicker via PvE. I’m sorry but a mini pet just stays in the bank, especially when it still shows up when you’re stealthed as the Dolyak does. It’s a liability not a reward. Give us something that matches up to things like the Gas Mask and Wings skins you’ve been able to get from PvE meta achievements.

And that t-shirt Ikaros I suspect it wouldn’t be thumbs Devon would be holding up.

You got a title that could only be obtained by completing the meta, why do everyone seem to ignore that?

On the topic. I was quite thankful for the reward (the fact that there is one). I mean, we’ve been playing wvw for over a year without rewards. Now we get rewards and people complain (I’m thinking the ones complaining are PvE people who only farmed achievements). A nice skin would have been appreciated though.

However: thank you Devon for doing such a great job with WvW. It took some time to get decisions going, but now they are coming and those of us who play WvW only are happy.

And I’m going to make a thank you thread.

In the MMO’s I did play, this was the case. Eudemons for example, if you won the tournament you would get this chrome-like outfit and a rotating halo around your waist that said Winner (optional to display). So I at least thought we would get a skin that showed everyone you won and if anyone asked, you could say it was from winning Leagues Season 1. Seeing how the dolyak finisher is limited, one could say we got nothing really. That aside the one thing that kitten ed me off the most, was all the dam greens in the chest. ANET C’MON DID YOU REALLY THINK I NEEDED 12 GREENS LOL?

Agreed, having a skin to show off in other parts of the game that tells people you stuck it out in Season 1 WvW would’ve been really cool. We don’t really have many ways to show off.

Or at least a 20 slot bag like Karka event.

As for that title… I’m much more likely to wear my spvp titles. Also, titles suck, nobody cares about them, and nobody looks at them unless they’re super bored.

Now that would have been nice. I went through 5-6 salvage kits an hour to keep my inventory from overflowing throughout gold league season 1. More inventory space or a never ending salvage kit would have been just the thing I needed to recover from the inventory management trauma.

weapons would be best, WvW deserves some nice weapon set inspired by medieval wars and historic sieges etc. WvW reminds me of that battles in XIII-XV century, you almost feel them! Crusader heavy armor? Templars longsword? all with scratches, dust, blood, smoke, etc. that weapon got during all that WvW battles – that would be awesome and memorable reward

Good one. Seasons are literally just a temporary achievement tracker. It didn’t feature any gameplay changes to it, let alone new assets like skins. It took them 10 minutes to cobble season 1 together and 10 more minutes to advertise it, and you expect of them to actually create something tangible for it? Don’t be so entitled.

Im glad the rewards were this bad (as in greens and stuff) but I was very disappointed that no exclusive skins were given. To be honest, a skin would have sufficed for me. But then again, it would probably go to the bank and stay there like the thousand other skins that i can find a toon to put on because most of the time they are backpacks and I only play around 3-4 characters at any given time
