Hey.

So as many of you know, hacking is an issue in this game. Having people jumping over walls, teleporting over the place, etc, aint fun.

Recently, a dev said in these forums that the only thing we can do is call for a GM or report him via mail if he admits he’s hacking.

The thing is… I’ve reported like 10 hackers in WvW already, and I’ve never seen a single GM around (and of course I saw how these guys kept playing). Why? Aren’t them supposed to be there? Isn’t someone supposed to come here and track the guy? Ask us for information? Just… DO SOMETHING at all?

And then, the worst thing is you can’t even report them if you have a pretty obvious video. Like this guy I’m chasing now, he’s just teleporting all over the place, jumping over walls… that’s hacking no matter what, that aint lag, period. But still, if I spend my time recording a video and uploading it, it’ll be ignored.

So yeah, what’s up with the GMs? Where are you? I do feel ignored from Anet in the sense of cheat-fighting. I get it must be hard to catch someone who’s invisible using some kind of 3rd party software and this and that, but.. there’s nothing to debate when someone’s teleporting all over the place.

You know that scene in Return of the King when Frodo and Sam are standing in front of the dragon mans tower and it shoots this greenish light/fire into the air? They should do something like that whenever someone gets banned. Make it visible from the entire map if you look up.
That would be neat.
And it would show the players that they’re actively banning these kittens.

A good GM is an invisible GM. If they were running around shouting about being there why would people cheat at that time? If they do not announce their presence people will have to hope that they won’t get caught if they cheat.

Pretty much this. If they showed their presence people wont bother much to use their cheats at that time.

Why do we still post? Well it’s a form of protesting really, at least for me it is.

Infracting posts for raising concerns about the future of the game is just a fascist act on Anet’s side.

Removing posts which reflect negatively on the game is just showing their “Everything is Awesome” attitude. It isnt awesome, WvW especially is in dire need of help! Things are going badly quickly!

Megaservers are great, if you ignore the fact that it could mean so many peopel have stopped playing that they were forced to merge PvE servers so people would still see some activity.
Fortnightly PvE content updates are great, until you realise that you can do the first run in 30 minutes, and you only need to redo it for achievements points.
The lacks of any WvW content, note I said content not QoL lordkrall there is a huge difference, for over 2 years is great…….oh wait no it isnt.

If you want confirmation either way, add those hackers to your blocked list and you can get indirect information as to whether they’ve been banned. (From your blocked list you can add to your friends list to get a message upon their logging on.) So you can see for yourself.

Yeah of course, I get it, and that’s how they should work. But, again, I don’t see any of these guys getting banned.

I know I can add them into my friends list, and that’s actually what I do. I record them teleporting away while showing that person is the only one blocked and online (removing/adding him again to make it clear that it’s THAT guy).

As someone said, it’s a way to protest. If you dont think something’s ok and at the same time you think it makes sense to think that, why wouldn’t you say so?
Sure, I’d love my ranger to crit for 50k nonstop, but I aint gonna ask for that since that’d make no sense at all. But I think this makes a lot of sense, that’s why I’m posting it.

I’m still waiting for that login screen where they say that 3000 accounts were banned, like was done in GW1.
