So ive been playing Eotm a bit lately. and the amount of Badges of honor you get in edge of the mist is totally unbalanced with the badges you get from Borlerlands and EBG.
So in Eotm, you get these “Mist Chest” form capturing objects! Inside the mist chest is an incredible amount of Badges of Honor!. From capturing a Keep, I had received at total of like 15-35 badges everything time. Even the towers or the special objects can give me about 5-25 badges. its insane.
Now in the borderlands, I play the borderlands all the time in WvW for my server.

Now whenever I capture something in the BL, lets say a keep or tower. I DO NOT get anymore than 2 badges of honor…. That is sad and VERY low compared to Eotm. literally EoTM(90% of the time) is a karma train(when I’ve played it). in EBG its the same thing, except I think Stone mist castle is like 6 badges(correct me if im wrong) on capture.

So Anet! Please oh please could you increase the Badges of honor you get in the borderlands and EBG, this is WvW and badges of honor should be balance in the BL/EBG AND Eotm. (I suggest adding “Mist Chest” in BL/EB!).

This would be very helpful for those that DO NOT play eotm. Badges are really needed for Siege blueprints for Comamnders and donations of siege to commanders!. and it would be more helpful if you can get the same amount of badges in BL/eb like eotm.

lower badges drop in eotm. it’s insane for a mere karma-train. in fact, remove mist chest altogether from eotm…

I killed the grub yesterday and got a whole 7!!!!!! badges. Best badges farming in EB!

You get like 5 badges for the Champion Tree Spirit at speldan and it literally takes you 30 minutes to kill it.

In the meantime you capture 3 objectives in EotM and get around 40-50? lol

My guild only does roaming and we get maybe 500 badges a week while in Eotm i got about 300 for 2 hours of play (and also about 15 champion bags). The imbalance is huge, badges should be rewarded ONLY for killing other players.

Agree.

All the rewards in EotM are much greater than in the other WvW areas. You can farm ascended mats, gold, badges and WXP at least twice as fast as in the other areas. It’s pretty kittened up truth be told.

Last week I PvD’d a new ele in EotM from lvl 2-71 – this took me 4 days and I received over 2000 Badges of Honor and made countless champion bags and ascended mats. She also made it to the rank of Knight in this time.

EotM is 99% PvE – at one point the zerg I was in and the opposing zerg saw each other and ran in opposite directions so as not to interrupt their karma training.

It wasn’t unusual to see someone in chat saying our keep was being attacked and to get the reply that no one cares we are farming.

EotM has been slightly better since the tournament started as there are occasional fights in there now – I think this is because some of us are in EotM’s while waiting in the enormous queues for WvW.

TLDR: You get better WvW rewards and rank up faster by doing PvE than by doing actual WvW

five of us from gandara fully sieged enemy keep after capping the other day… wiped enemy zerg twice and after that they never showed their face again… was very fun trolling them that 2 times they tried to cap it and got bridge destroyed behind them and 50 of them dying to 4 ac’s
but then again, they never showed up again… which is sad

I don’t see why they made badges of honor 10 times easier to get in EoTM than in WvW. In one winning EoTM match (4 hours), I got 800 badges. It takes me a week or two to get that in WvW. The weird thing is that it feels like badge prices for stuff in EoTM are set to account for the rate you get badges in eotm and the badge prices in WvW are still set to account for the rate in which you get badges in WvW despite the fact that they don’t give the same amount of badges and you can now get the easiest exotic armor ever by doing EoTM and spending those badges in WvW.

It makes zero since that they did it this way. What should have happened on the day of EoTM would be any of these scenarios:

1) EoTM give same badge reward as WvW, set prices of stuff to be 10 badges in EoTM
2) Increase badge cost in WvW to compensate for EoTM and increase badge reward in WvW

I’m not sure whose idea it was to make EoTM give 10 times more badges than WvW but it’s too late to do anything now because many people including me are already at a ridiculously high amount of badges because of it and have already bought tons of exotic gear so it’s too late to do anything about the inflation.

I played EotM half an hour: 200 badges… I defend my border in WvW 2 days… 100 badges.
SIiiiiiiiightt difference…

WvW rewards need a buff overall.
