I would like to see some more changes to the DBL when they comeback.

Extending the towers walls, all four of them, so they can hit other objectives. Like north towers in the ABL could hit garrison. The south west tower could hit bay.

Adding the Blood lust into the oasis to have something familar. Clear out everything from Oasis and have it be open with 5 capture points (Blood Lust in Oasis) to encourage multiple group fights over the open area. Very few obstacles.

Having a route out of spawn directly into north camp. On ABL, the rush to save north camp was one of the great things. Also, this would help people rush to Earth keep for saves. Those rushes were also amazing because a mesmer could port you from spawn to Garrison when the wp was down in ABL. I would love to see this in DBL.

The only other thing I can think of would be the lack of people tagging up to command on some servers. If there isn’t a commander, sometimes people just log off. Add some really good incentive for people to tag up. Like Commander Armor/Weapons where you get an achievement for commanding and have a specific track line for tagging while outnumbered on a map. A comeback track line for servers that are currently in 3rd place to create incentive when a server is in 3rd place to not give up.

Would love to hear peoples comments on these suggestions. I have a feeling that DBL will not be leaving completely, so, we might as well give something back to help make them better for everyone. Some people liked them, I loved the last changes to them and wish I could have gotten more time to explore that more but, the majority did want ABL back and I enjoy seeing them as well as the people on the BLs returning.

I think it would be difficult to make sure who is doing real commanding (which is hard work and should be awarded) and who runs around simply with tag on. In the worst case you end up with dozens of tags on the map, all just to get that sweet achievement.

The weak part s of the visual aspects of the map imo are the north camp it’s just wierd and nonsensical for no particular reason….all that tech and you still use mules? XD the ne necro keep/tower is a weak looking area. the east and se are pretty good…the cliffs being the best parts.
Best areas is sw spawn at night and west molten keep looks great. Have not seen nw keep/tower.

Again the problem with wvw is often 1v1 balance because you spend time getting somewhere only to have some necessarily grinding 1v1er with an op build and class (HOT class now) come and kill you. Then you have to walk back. That is seriously not fun if it’s repeated. All the hardcore 1v1ers roam which puts them up against people who aren’t nolife grinders….which just unwarrantedly fuels the ego of the nolife 1v1 grinder because they think they are skilled when they kill people more interested in doing things and who knows duelling is grossly unbalanced (hthese people don’t understand that).

Hated the knock back thing in air keep that blows you off cliffs, glad they scaled it back a little (but please just disappear completely)

Popping up rock walls can die. I don’t mind if they’re permanent structures though.

I love traps and seeing players knocked off heights etc.

the map has too many layers which resulted in complicated navigation. this isn’t the main problem. the main problem is related to it. too much running time, sorry, i dont think people want to spend a high % of that limited gaming time to run and search.

On the running to locations portion, extending the tower’s walls would give a safe haven for roamers for a portion of the walk to the west/east keeps as well.

On the Commander portion, give credit to those who have 20+ people in their squad or the only tag on map tie it into the reward track so they have to do something as well. That would give them incentive to get more people to come with them and do something.

I agree with the portion about the north towers, that is why they need a purpose first and then the surroundings of them could be worked out. I still feel they need extended and yes, i love the cliff for net on ABL to get to the nec and to push people off in fights.

I also agree with the “automatic” gimmicks. I feel that the air turrets should be manned at a control panel for the defender to use and make them destructible but, have high hp or yes, get rid of them. Because if it is a person doing it, you can get revenge but, if it is the game doing it, then you just get mad at the game.
