EOTM Balance: simple fix

I don’t this you understand what “pay to win”means.
I do not think someone is a troll for explain to you that EotM is a WvW game aspect, and that since before release it was stated that WvW is not intended to be balanced. It is common sense that and game mode on any game, with that many players in it, cannot even remotely be balanced. It simply isn’t possible.
The problem with your so called solution, is that you mention no way to play with guild and friends. If folks are thrown in all willie nillie based on population alone it is restricting. I do go to Eotm or WvW looking for perfect balance. I go to those places to play with my guild and friends.

I give you pro tip. Win first fight and you players don’t rage quit 10 min after reset. Every time enemy have huge zerg at the start of the match, but they never win.

Since you would no longer be able to join the match with your guild or anyone you know, I only agree with the change if EoTM is moved out of WvW and get its own “Karma Train” menu in the options bar.
A much simpler balance fix to EoTM is simply to disable PvP in the zone. That’ll do the trick.

I see, you really want to be alone in EotM. You simply cannot win with 30 vs 100.
I can only recommend any blue and red: Transfer to SFR or stay away from EotM till it is fixed.
ANd yes, should it be fixed: Give it an own forum section as well.

@coglin this is the same weak excuse people make for a-net over and over again. The simple fix would make the gamemode balanced so yes it is possible.
@junkpile look at attached printscreen of a saturday evening blue zerg. You expect to win a first fight with it against 90 players? It takes 10 minutes to get a gate down with such a group just to whipe on the boss
@dawdler the game mode is nice for a lot of people. Its different then running up and down a map and switch between maps all the time like regular world vs world. It offers more instant action. The only problem with the game mode is balance.

Time in your screenshot is 18.58. What you try to say? You have already lose 80 players because you did lose all fights at start.

You can call it a weak excuse all you like. I play this game to play with my guild and friends. Thus, from my perspective, it is an abysmal idea.

Drink lesss, then you do not see enemies double and tripple.
Blue has outmanned buf from start to end of the match.
Simpliest sollution? Start playing 80s at EoTM and kill SFR arrows blob with just 10-15 80s or even less. And don’t tell me that this is imposible we did it a lot of times when we didn’t have enough ppl to raid with or just queues to pump up ppl. Maybe after wipes everyday they won’t play it as much as they use to ^^
Playing on Blue just means you need a better than average commander. We have had several successful sessions over the last week and one on Saturday in which we completely destroyed and humiliated OG.
Don’t give up, I find that EOTM can be a lot of fun to play even when you are not on OG. I personally like the challenge of being the underdog as FR or BL as it makes GW2 a more interesting game. Best thing to do is make friends with some good players/commanders so you can find a match with a good commander/zerg.
I want defense in EoTM.
There are people who defend in EOTM, in fact it can be one of the more fun aspects of the game. Last weekend I happened to go in with my thief just as OG was hitting the FR keep champ. By spamming poison fields, timing a perfect dagger storm, and carefully using the gate to escape and recover I wiped their zerg. One of the most pleasant experiences I have had in GW2. It is also a lot of fun to charge the enemy zerg from behind as they are trying to break down a gate. Even the PVE people have fun when you wipe the enemy, as long as you mix it up with champ bags and Karma.
I like to kill upscaled who can’t keep up with zerg. It’s hilarious when they almost catch zerg and you drop them down and they need to try again. Better drop them down than kill so zerg can’t come and ress them.

Often you see many people complaining when the game is yet again unplayable. Also for the last half year this lacked a response from Anet while in a other thread they did mention it as a problem
How about starting with not spreading around the under populated sides.
Currently the system is set up in such a way that when 1 team creates more instances, through sheer numbers, the smaller teams get spread out.
For example. Each team can have 50 players per EotM map. Green queue’s with 150, Red with 60 and Blue with 45.
The end result is three instances that look something along the lines of:
overflow1: 50 green, 20 red, 15 blue
overflow2: 50green, 20red, 15blue
overflow3: 50green, 20red, 15blue
Because players get spread out, instead of stacking all Red and Blue into the same overflow untill they start spilling over.
Then atleast youll have a few instances that are equally populated, instead of every single instance being a complete blow out.

Would be better, especially as overstacking would turn from a clear win strategy it is today into a clear boredom strategy, that affect those that do overstack and no longer harm the ones that do not.
