Last two weeks there have been some issues with queues and arriving after a long wait to what feels like an undermanned team, hopefully they are even for everyone or will be fixed soon,

The fights ingame are superb. SoR is doing great and JQ response times are as good as ever, hopefully this even struggle will continue all week and then next week we can do it all again, in some tier!

Sad thing is as great as this match up this week is there is the chance it get’s destroyed next week due to point reset.

there is still plenty of time for this matchup to go haywire and end in a blowout :P

(not saying it will, but you can never predict T1 by the Saturday score. BG was winning their first recent weekend in T1 all the way until Sunday morning)

I dunno, they played well pretty much every week they were in Tier 1…and they had steady improvement each match. Culminating in a 2nd place finish last week.

On a sidenote, great matchup, too bad the queues are so bad that I can’t spend as much time in WvW as I would like. Today was a three hour wait for EB, and around an hour and a half for any of the BLs. Makes me tempted to stay logged in and just go shake my mouse now and again, lol.

Oh wow, fair enough…lol. I was working all week, so checked in on the score throughout the week and thought BG was gonna secure 2nd place. Thanks for the correction.

Having faced SoR before in T2 and T4, I’m fairly certain of their capabilities. Their only weakness was oceanic/sea primetime when SoS nightcaps them. I don’t think it will be easy anymore with SBI asian crew there and maybe more from other servers.

Yeah, it has been a good match. I’m just not gonna get ahead of myself and think that a score on Saturday has any reflection whatsoever on how the match will end.

Great fights so far. Lots of interesting tactics by SoR.

But remember, the real match starts on Monday. Weekend leads are always misleading…. Enjoy it while you can.

Honestly I think something is screwed up on JQ right now.

Since the reset I’ve been sitting in queue for literally 1 1/2 hours a map and when I get in there we have 40 players MAX on the entire map and it’s like we’re outmanned.

Are you guys on SoS and SoR having this problem?

SoR is for sure, at least on EB.

It’s happening to lots of servers in many tiers, both NA and EU. Servers are reporting different player caps for different maps, widely varying queue times, etc. The whole thing is borked.

The presumption is that when people log out of WvW without going back to open world / Lion’s Arch, they still count as being inside WvW. Which screws up the queues.

Still waiting on tangible evidence that proves this problem even exists in the first place. A player can “report” all they want. The vocal minorities speaking on behalf of thousands of other players on their server is astounding. Where exactly in my config files or option menu can I find how many people each team has on the map in WvW? I’d like to take a look at that statistic. As soon as one of you finds it, let me know…

By the way, fun stuff earlier today with the constant back and forth with SoR at Cliffside. There has yet to be a dull moment, albeit a few frustrating ones.

This Que mess is accross all servers…. Kinda sucks that its screwing up a good match…

Kinda sad when you que for a map for 2 hours you get to the map and theres 30 friggen people there….

idk about other servers but this queue doesn’t affect our playtime with guildies as much as other servers.

If you’re lucky enough to get every guild member on the map with how it is bugged right now you have a huge advantage.

Personally I just got tired of the chest thumping they did before we had guilds transfer in for off peak NA hours. Silly to beat your chest for ticking away at 600+ uncontested, ya know?

One thing I noticed now that I am in T1 … what is up with the blob trains running around in circles? I thought that tactic stopped working against people months ago, so I was surprised to see people still using it.

this is true, the weekends normally are far different from the week. JQ never did very well during the weekend, but they certainly show their numbers during the week.

Def some epic zerg fights tonight. SoR puts up a much harder and more entertaining fight than BG and SBI. Special shoutout to Gaschioch over at east supply on SoS BL tonight, you guys dont give up and fight to the last man. Def worthy of that ex-DaOC rep that I was looking to see all this time.

Yeah this is basically what’s going to happen. Matchups this week with even scores are going to get dropped 4-5 tiers, while other matchups with blowouts will be top tier. For example, Sorrow’s Furnace which is in the bottom tier this week will be in the top tier next week, because they are destroying completely empty servers. Our fairly even matchup with JQ/SOR/SOS is going to get split among 3 different tiers next week I bet.

But such is the way of a point reset. It will be a few weeks before things stabilize. Hopefully because of the gem cost though, no one’s going to jump ship because they see the short term instability and WTF-bail.

The sad thing is that ANet is not releasing any of the details about this type of thing. We have no confirmed number per map per server. We have no confirmed info on how the que system actually places players. There are so many things we just do not know, so we guess. many times wrong.

My experiance says that the player cap per map per server has been lowered. I am also experiancing in consistant que times for myself and other members of my household. These que times have also varied depending on where I initiated the que. Heart of the mist, LA, LA overflow.. and so on.

I am hoping that the database used for the que is a first come first serve system, but my experiance says it isn’t, or there is a gremlin in the system.

As an aside… WOW this has been a great match up. I honestly didn’t feel SoR was ready for T1. I still think we have some things to work on as a server. But man JQ and SoS, you guys have been a blast to fight. I just wish i could see you guys more often.. Heck I wouldn’t mind seeing my own players around me.

I had a blast in SoS BL this evening. Even though we kept portalling into bay and fought valiantly each time we were eventually pushed out. The reaction time was spot on from the defenders as well. Just as the circle came up, after about 5 mins of fighting, we were eventually overwhelmed.

But that is the fun of it – getting so close to your objective only to have it wrenched away at the last moment only serves to make ya want to come back and try harder the next time. I should add that the never ending swarm of JQ at Vale turned out to be the highlight of the night.

Much thanks goes to both JQ and SoS for keeping the evening interesting and more importantly entertaining. I hope I can expect as much for the rest of this matchup and I sincerely wish that we all meet again very soon after the next reset.

Really proud of SoR right now. I was on this server starting on day 1 when we were almost at the bottom of the Tiers and now we’re in Tier 1 AND in first place. It is the start of the week so we won’t let it go to our heads, but JQ and SoS better watch out. We plan on setting up shop here.

JQ has never been a weekend server, if we are within 10-15k of SoS on Sunday it’s a win in my book. Should get interesting down the stretch. Always fun to see the excitement new servers bring up to T1. Long queues aside, some pretty fun fights thus far.
