Done! Nominate one for EU, or one for NA, and why?

For me, it’s got to be a toss up between IRON & AGG. Iron for making the once barren EU timezone in NA into a thriving community with their presence and AGG for making the NA GvG scene interesting and sticking the middle finger to PPT.

Quite clearly #1 guild goes to OnS/AoI, best guild in NA I’ve seen. I’ve watched them grow up from SoS where to be honest they were quite the bads :P, they transferred with us off SoS as they became the only NA guild/s on the server but still would show up every day to fight even when severely outmatched. Now they are the arguably the best NA guild on BG and the only guild many trust to hold down BG garrison against a prolonged 2v1 during NA, taking this job so that others don’t, sai strong, sai gud, sai powerful – OnS Doge.

OnS which makes up the majority of AoI has some of the most amazing commanders and people like Reyana who was a pillar of the SoS community and is now basically Blackgate if I had to pick two people who make BG, BG it would be Malevolent Omen and Reyana. (Choc ofc also ;P) but you get the picture.

I’d like to nominate Incendies [INC] of Gunnar’s Hold EU (former of Piken Square) for:
1. Never claiming to be the best.
2. Always staying smallscale.
3. Up for GvGs.
4. Being a reliable ally and a challenging opponent.

Does this even need a thread? We all know it’s Red Guard. WvW wouldn’t be what it is without them. Every guild that “got good” did it by following RG’s example. NA WvW would still be kitten if they hadn’t spent that week in JQ back in January.

I’m from TUP (EU guild), best guild this year without a doubt is obviously redguard.

Since redguard left I would have to vote for Votf.

Best Small Man: SPCA from NSP

SPCA unbeatable in beatable in small man. Get my nomination too. XD

YARR on Gandara .. they are my idea of great attitude and a healthy dose of fun that I really enjoy.

Definitely Red Guard – not only did they pwn, but they put it out there and shared it with the community, the ripple effect has been priceless.

My guild of the year award goes to Choo. For outstanding performance in WvW and GvGs. My toughest Opponent of Season 1 who never ever backs down. Constant pressure and they don’t buckle or get demoralized easy. Props to Choo and their commanders.

OdS? Are you joking? we fought these guys 2 days before. they were 6 thiefes and we 1 warrior, 1 engineer and 1 ranger. everyone of them lied 2-3 times on the floor ( 6 thiefes stadow refuge rezz is pretty annoying and sic em has a 40sec cd )

as the fight progresses we had 2 adds of our server mates and they finally died.

if the thread title says: most annoying guild – OdS would be my bet to ^^

EU guild: [RG] I think this choice is pretty self explanatory

NA guild: [Agg] for helping NA GvG thrive in the states

So many great guilds we’ve fought in the past year. From a PPT standpoint, the two guilds that always made me feel like we would have a real fight on our hands are SF and TW. SF thieves in particular really ruin my day!

Honorable mention to Choo, EMP, and HB – all guilds that forced us to adapt to their tactics.

From an ally standpoint, can’t beat MERC

Most impactful of all time is redgaurd no questions. Every good player branched from their example. All exp. Drivers learned from sacrx.

Guild of the year for tough opponent goes to Agg and id dare to say NS in more even scale fights.

Guild of the year to count on for consistant perofrmance and fighting for their server. Choo

HzH: JQ mainstay since the beginning. Very mature
Ark: they define Maguuma with their small but hard hitting group (unfortunately in PvF as well)
Red Guard: Defined the meta
WM: Was the first guild to show what a dedicated non-prime presence could do for an entire server

Plenty others on this list that I would include (leaving out some SoS folks because it’s unfair to list that much awesome in one list…and it would seem like propaganda too LOL)

[BT] Black Talons. They started what defines Fort Aspenwood: red == dead, and were rather instrumental in organizing the Fort Aspenwood community and drawing more FA players into WvW from PvE.

^very true. Malose was one of then first main leaders FA had. A lot of FAs infrastructure was a bi product of [BT] s work.

EU Guild: Red Guard, pretty self explanatory pick right here.

NA Guild: It has to be Aggression for being one of the first guilds to say kitten PPT and focus on fights. Also for making the NA GvG scene thrive in the chaos of the PPT crazy servers

RG was great at large group combat but if you isolated their members into 2s or 3s they seemed lost.

I’ve always liked KnT from BG. One of their originals, always showed up to fight every week even in the down moments and a respectable guild on the forums. Bunch of good guys over there.

I wouldn’t say Agg made GvGs mainstream, but they did bring playing for fights rather than ppt to a bigger spotlight than it used to be.

Judge for being the best small scale roamers with great individual skill and healthy attitude with great sense of humor.

Obviously RG would be the obvious choice for the whole meta and GvG scene but I’m going to be different :p

EU- If the majority of XAOC were still around, I’d have to say them purely because of how dedicated their leaders and players were when on Blacktide.

Or

INC- Incendies on Gunnars Hold, just because the few times I have faced them, they have been very good.

I would say that Xaoc could be the guild of the year if they were still around in T1 I would nominate ZDs, yea yea i know you said you cant but i was not member of ZDs since days 1 and myself came to ZDs from Xaoc. The best thing about ZDs the guild play the game like they did 1 year ago. Guilds come and go but ZDs remains

I also vote for Judge Legends [JDGE]. Watching them fight was an education and they did not stick to the boring melee train meta but fought their own way and countered the meta very well.

They are also a great bunch.

EU: Votf – still alive and strong
NA: Everything Purple – first to stop our win streak and toss us into a chasm of despair.

I’m not sure I agree with any of the suggestions put forth for NA. Not going to call out guilds because that will only make this thread worse.

I wasn’t around when Redguard was so i’d have to say [EP] Everything Purple. Always fun to fight them.

Redguard – changed WvW almost from top to bottom.

Agg for being probably the most formidable open field guild in na, and its great to see them come this far from how they were on SoS. Also RG on eu is pretty much undisputed.

Nah but on a serious note here’s my opinion -
NA: [Agg] if we’re talking top tier guilds. Some other great guilds in lower tiers that we’ve had a blast fighting are: [Crit] from DB, [DR] from SBI are great in openfield, [HOPE] from FA, [GF] from EBay and there are some that i wish to fight some day – TW, NYS, SONG, Choo, MERC, Meow, WM, OnS, IRON.. The list never ends.

EU: VOTF if we’re talking about guilds that still play.. However, [RG] will always be the kings.. Za Drots were also amazing.. EU have a great bunch.

Foo (ATM/WAHA), probably the single most dominate guild in a timezone in NA, there is a reason there is a saying “it is Foo/Waha o’clock”

AoI, multi guild powerhouse….nuff said
ICoa, does what it can when it can no matter the odds
ND, all i can say is im glad they are on our side

KH, I remember fighting them in the early days and to be honest they were rather like walking lootbags, now I know its going to be a fun fight

I will also give an honorable mention to MERC, became the backbone of our oceanic crew when they came over and gave some of our other oceanic commanders time to rest or train new people and run havoc to your float, but im still gonna kick your kitten when i see you in game :P

For EU: there are so many good guilds :P

• TUP awesome relaxed guild (Aurora Glade)
• Imp best small scale guild ever (Vabbi)

Friendly: My vote goes to [JINX] on Blackgate. Those guys despite their relative small size are a formidable force, are hands down the best map partner any guild could ask for, and are all around an amazing group of people. I hold the utmost respect for JINX and knowing they are on a map with us is always a boost.

That said, I respect all of the guilds I have encountered on our server and there is not a single guild I can think of that I would be down for being paired with.

I would say Red guard too… they were awesome !

If I should choose a guild that still play, it would be VotF I think..
