Why don’t you just apologize for that ? Northern Shiverpeaks apologized for their server hacking an orb. It’s not the work of an individual, THREE ORBS at the same time is not the work of an individual.

Are you kidding me? This is a tier one matchup. An hour would ruin the server completely. Earlier in this post I showed my disgust for the people committing such exploits. Now I am stunned by how ridiculous some people are getting over this issue. Considering the fact that hundreds of innocent players took no part or had no knowledge of this, I don’t see why the hell we should subject so many to a huge disadvantage over the actions of a handful. I was around all night last night and screw you if you think I would let all my hours of hardwork go to waste over what some kitten did. You say the server should show class and we did by denouncing such acts. But I see zero reason that others have to suffer.

Because if you set the standard once, then hackers/x-realmers simply jump servers to maybe YOUR server, exploit the orb and force your server to stand down for an hour. How’d you like that?

@blinkThe one pic and one video shows nothing. At the time I posted JQ had all 3, they had all 3. This isn’t about apologizing this is about attacks made by some on an entire server in the official forums that are borderline TOS violations. JQ has speed hackers. HoD had a flying hack, orb exploit going on two weeks ago. We should run to the forums every time we see these and make I thread with the title “JQ exploits”

This is not what Anet has asked for us to do. They have closed threads just like this one and I expect it will be closed by Monday as well. Again, if you see someone hacking take a pic or video and send it to Anet as they asked instead of blanket attacks on a server.

I do not care what is going on with HoD or any other server. I am having fun on a great server with fantastic players, and if we win this week, nothing anyone says is going to make our victory less sweet.

Although I am saddened by the orb hacking, I would like to remind JQ that last week people from their server did the same thing to HoD. They destroyed the altar at DB and it wasn’t repairable. We eventually got the orb back and moved it to Garrison.
Then they destroyed the altar at Garrison which wasn’t repairable… so our only choice was the let the orb reset up north to JQs altar. (SBI owned the eastern Keep.)

Also last week we had a person on our team causing chaos whose name was Jade Quarry Spy (lol). And another person abusing resources and trying to cause a problem the entire time. Someone in chat asked if the person was from SBI or JQ and the person responded “ET actually” and we weren’t even matched with them at the time.

My guess is these are all acts of a small group of individuals trying to cause server drama and they might not have vested interests in any side. Basically I think they are trolling all 3 teams or they are recent transfers from less upstanding servers.

Having played matches in the past against SBI, JQ and ET I can say that the shenanigans just weren’t there before. So I believe that those servers as a whole are pretty upstanding, they have just inherited some dishonorable players.

It’s hard to believe you. If JQ really exploited an orb, we would have seen it on the HoD SBI JQ thread, and somebody would’ve started a thread on the forums. For the “Jade Quarry Spy” I hope you realize that if it was really a Jade Quarry spy, he wouldn’t take that name… obviously. I don’t say that ET are exploiters, but someone from ET is. & exactly like CarelessKrow said, there is exploiters and dishonorables players every side, since the beginning I’m saying that we can’t blame ET.

Unfortunately every server is bound to have dishonorable players. We can only hope ANet deals with them swiftly and harshly.

He reads intomthings and creates things for one reason. He’s a troll. Time for us to move on from the trolls and enjoy the battles. JQ has really stepped up. HoD regardless of the true state of things is a force to be reckoned with no matter what. /thread.

Good hit on the dreadfall bay, by both HoD and ET…. we had such a hard time keeping both sides of the walls up against multiple pushes on north and south side (it was funny seeing them run into each other on the bridge though).

I´m a new guy transferred from a EU server, and am really enjoying the fighting going on. Still trying to adjust both to invisible armies, getting focus fire much more often, and the loads of siege bombarding you.

But I was there on ET side as we were trebbing you. Curiosity drove me to the bridge where I saw two other trebs and realised HoD were doing the same. So I reported it on the map, I´m sure our commanders were already aware. I walked to their side and saw a HoD, well I just had to throw my greatsword at him didn´t I. Fight ensued I got him down more and more Hod showed up I decided to retreat. Suddenly I was caught on the bridge and was killed and saw the whole HoD zerg running over me as I had aggroed every single one on the map it seemed.

Uh-Oh I thought to myself.

I mean it’s inevitable to use another army attacking as an advantage… it makes sense to both hit at the same time as we had a full force inside. Even though we could manage to hold off either one, we didn’t have the numbers to hold off two. If it were up to me however if I were either HoD or ET commander, I’d do a recon/intel check on the other zerg/army to make sure that when the gates were down we’d have the upper advantage to take the keep.

I think we’ve had success only 1/3 times we try to ninja a keep before, but its worth it.

Speaking of which did we get dreadfall bay back? Any updates on map for HoD BLs?

I’m enjoying the matchup on ET. Last weeks match was rather boring but this is definitely more exciting. Storming SM castle a few hours ago was really fun. In all honesty we will probably end up 3rd because HoD and JQ are great teams but I’m just glad we have a true battle going on

So anyways to help debunk this orb drama.

Tonight we got double-teamed(not implying ET/HoD organized a team) at out Bay which was holding the orb. Siege lasted around 2 hours with HoD at north, ET in the south. Eventually JQ was supply starved and ended up losing the orb and bay to the Borg of ET =]

We recapped the bay immediately after respawning, but the fight was pretty good. It’s always fun to test out your limits and see how the team reacts to certain ‘dire’ situations. Props to ET for getting the cap and HoD was closely behind. I think HoD actually breached inner first.

I’ve noticed a step up in your game tonight ET, hopefully that will continue into the work week. It’s always fun to have those 3-ways. Next time lets make it in your keep and not ours =]

EDIT: Forgot to add, I guess now we know what if feels like to be HoD last week. Constantly getting double-teams by JQ/SBI at the garrison

The difference between your claim and ours is that only one of your orbs was allegedly stolen. All three of ours were stolen within minutes, suggesting a coordinated effort.

I would like to add that “Jade Quarry Spy” is actually just some guy being funny. He’s one of us HoD-ers though, and you guys should really lighten up and appreciate his meta humour.

TA may be gone, but thats not a big deal. Your top bracket until we beat it down to where it belongs.
The claims at “victory” by TA for HoD only made this worse because they knew they couldn’t hold out against the pressure coming at them and bailed before their ship sank.

It’s a shame it hurts the server, and messes the matchup’s all to hell still. It was some good fighting and it was expected to be better, but some folks got scared about loosing their titles of #1….

fyi, 10/16 ex TA guilds are still in HOD .. do not call victory so fast.. its still the 2nd day of the match.

But to be honest.. its a good game this match up.. hope everyone enjoys the intense fighting.

I hope the servers do stay close at the top. Even being from jade quarry I dont want to win them all (well maybe just 99.99%) as it would get stale and a little boring.

But tbh we are pretty strong though the week also this was the score the day of reset. When the 2 weeks set in I think you will see a lot closers match ups and servers catching up big time that way.

As much as I’d like to win with JQ I just can’t see it happening. We can’t keep up on the hours, oceanic guilds just kitten us overnight when nobody is on. Commanders are pulling late nights over the weekend, but you just can’t expect them to keep it up all week. So we just get withered down.

@Coldviper You do know that JQ has had a huge influx of Oceanic guilds from CD?

I play during those hours, so if thats true I’d like to know where they are, and if they’re more than 5 people. I’ve on several occasions on one of the maps had to do a hills defense in the lord room with 10-15 people being the very last stand for anything even on the map. There is no one on until about 5 PST some of the asian guilds get on.

Where they are that you have to ask them, just as AA has to ask their own Oceanic guilds where they are as they have not bothered to appear at all in any of HoD vs ET matches. JQ on the other hand has had A LOT of Oceanic activity in the past 4-5 days.

Well having a bunch of oceanic players that don’t WvW doesn’t really have anything to do with this thread. I’ve been playing since the beginning and the only time we have nightly presence is when our few commanders pull all nighters, they manage to keep people on until they leave.

So if these guilds even exist, they don’t WvW, so them being on our server is irrelevant.

@Cold AA recruited those guilds specifically for WvW… if you didn’t already know. They just don’t show up on match nights like they’re supposed to.

Third, if HoD comes back and wins this thing I think we can all say that Titan Alliance was a non-factor in the server winning. HoD won in spite of them, not because of them. Just sayin’. Think about it…

10/16 TA guilds are still on HoD. TA may be no more, but the guilds are still alive and kicking I personally though am taking a break from GW2 for a couple of days.

Just curious to know how ET got two orbs last night. Did anyone see it?

Today at 11 am Est time in the ET Borderlands, JQ members, myself included, were midway through running the orb back to Etheron Hills when an opposing team member hacked into Etheron Hills and destroyed the altar. Many say it was ET again. I don’t know what server did it, but Anet really needs to do something about this hacking.

Well on ET we lost SM but gained some ground in the borderlands (and 2 orbs!). Shaping up to be a decent match. Strange thing is we are undermanned, it’s the freaking weekend and at this moment the only map with a queue is ET borderlands, I got into EB and the others instantly.

As of 2 pm the altar is still broken.

Have we not said all along that HoD wins due to the work as a server not just the work of TA alone? Calling TA a non-factor is ridiculous, and an insult to its members efforts. But we have at no point discounted the fact, we can not be everywhere all the time. HoD has a strong WvW population. And we are undefeated because of that. TA would be competitive on any server. But HoD is undefeated because of HoD as a whole.

We were outmanned in Red borderland Saturday night. Buff and all. Militia was doing most of the work. TA had a directed 6 man group trying to keep and eye on Bay, and just in general be a pain in the butt, with supply camps.
It wasn’t until later that a guild not in TA came on, rallied the map, and took control that we made progress, turning half the map green.

Praetorian Legion [SPQR] gets the nod for that one. Some TA were on the map still, I noted a number of [ARMA]. but it was [SPQR] that spearheaded. the rest of us left Red, because it was in good hands.

It probably should go without saying, but honestly, you guys made a huge mistake leaving NSP.
Why was Ruin on NSP? Because AA said they were going to go to NSP. You and many other like minded WvW focused players flooded NSP. NSP was crowded because it was FULL of players that wanted to WvW. Queues were heavy, and AA made the choice to ditch all those people that wanted to pvp, to go to a low pop server.
well guess what. That low pop server is low pop because its not full of competitive pvp players.
People that wanted to WvW and win, joined the big ones. Now you have a large pve player base on your server Full status, when its WvW is certainly not full.

I think it’s fair to assume it was ET given their history of abuse. Just pathetic.

The only troll here is you, for being in complete denial of the fact that someone on your server is rampantly cheating. They are seemingly determined to deny JQ of its hard-fought orbs entirely. One of those is only in your possession now because of them, and I say that you as a server should give one up to us to make up for it.
