Kudos, JQ. Great thread, and solid recruiting job. See you on the field. This week is only going to get better for all.

Hey there everyone! First of all I wanted to throw out an AWESOME job to everyone who participated in our server-wide “blackout” event just prior to the WvW reset.

We had over 1000 estimated players all attempting to transfer (based off the active guild roster sizes of the guilds trying to switch and allowing some room for solo’s or small guilds taking advantage of the blackout) and we were able to get an estimated 350+ in prior to wvw reset last friday.

We will be hosting more large-scale blackouts soon so keep checking the forums and we’ll let you guys know when the next one is! (We will definitely be having one before the 28th)

With all the great guilds that transfered over, i was a bit hesistant about queues. Queues have yet to be an issue! Go JQ!

I would give my left nut for another oceanic guild

I would love to join the server, but even during the blackout periods (posted on the community website) it is still showing full . I am not apart of any large scale guild and just a solo member wanting to really get into this mmo, but my hours on are 10 AM – 3 PM EST. However I will keep trying until it gets closer… or its probably off to Desolation [EU].

Only wanted to bring this up as it may be quite difficult for large guilds to transfer over now with all of the new players on that server.

when is the next blackout (which is guaranteed server status becomes very high) ? Its futile if the server is always full.

I cannot guarantee the status will come off of “full” but, we’re trying! I’ve been promoting multiple blackouts each day. Hopefully, people are getting used to the concept and we’ll get better results over the new few days.

It’s really easy to remember, just log off for the 15 minutes following server reset each day this week. That’s between 0:00 – 0:15 UTC time. You can check the top of any page of the GW2 wiki to see the current UTC time.

Please, spread the word to your Guilds. Also, hit up the Dragon event’s and in L.A. to spread the word to the PvE community. We’ll need as many of them as possible to make it happen.

We fought them for the longest of any server they’ve fought against, and I have a lot of good friends in a lot of the guilds listed in the OP that have proven themselves time and again as worthy adversaries and legitimate players. If I weren’t so loyal to SBI, despite our hard times, I’d probably have come and joined one of them. While it makes me sad to see so many once-SBI guilds on that list, I am glad that they’re in a place where they can feel competitive and like they’re constantly on the cutting edge of competitive WvW. That said, I think JQ is great, and I hope that they stay T1 for a very, very long time to come.

Very high right now. I’m in the same boat as you: I was on SBI, and would have transferred sooner, except for the loyalty I’ve felt for SBI. I’m not in a guild either, but I fought alongside SF and Rage, and really enjoyed it. While I still have some friends on SBI, a lot of people I know have transferred to JQ.

It’s a bit hard because I’ve fought (and killed) so many jq in the past (and may or may not have danced on a few corpses when I 1v3’d or 1v4’d), but having fought with you guys for so long, I have an immesne amount of respect for you guys. I look forward to killing with you all!

Welcome! We seem to be all getting along famously, which isn’t all that shocking, really. The former SBI folks are an awesome bunch of people. You do still get moments where your brain is a bit confused when you tab around and see tags you can’t kill, but running around in a group of jq, former sbi, former sos is just fun
