There is just no point any more….

I’m absolutely to feel that Anet is destroying WvW,
WvW lovers play the same maps,towers and keeps for almost 2 years
No updates, no new elements.
Thanks anet only focus on PVE
And now they added 1 new element.

Thanks for destroying the last bits of fun in this game mode. If you wonder why people are so upset and negative about your company, just think what you are doing to pull that stuff upon yourself. Was already hard to find fights in these unbalanced match ups but this has taken it to another level.

Patch putting alot more importance on a role that has the least reward in WvW, scouting. The people who thought that removing the white swords was a good idea should be forced to spend their working hours scouting on sub T2 servers. And every hour they work only gets paid if they actually thwarted an attack during that hour.

That or come up with a reward and recognition system for the scouts that actually honors the people investing their time into that role.

I dont want to say I told you so but I already have.

What absolutely astonishes (but I guess it shouldn’t) me is that they thought this was going to be a good idea. Especially after all the negative feedback they got before actually implementing this change. It’s like everyone at Anet on the (non-existant??) WvW dev team stuck their fingers in their ears, closed their eyes and proclaimed the change heedless and regardless of what their customers had to say about it.

NO there is no longer any WvW team they were relocated to do LS and next year PVE stuff what has WvW parts in.

There hasntt been any WvW dev’s from last feature pack :P?!

That’s funny. On my server Deso there are no karma train and since patch no pug zerg. Seriously all I see are guild groups running around taking care of there own business. Weird

I don’t know who the people are that Anet uses as a focus group or for alpha testing, but I think they might want to add a few non K-trainers or at least include a few people who spend most of their time scouting.

The more I play without those swords, the more annoying it has become.

Do they even do these things? Seems to me like they suffer from some kind of confirmation bias. Maybe an echo chamber where they hear what they want to hear and the “great idea!” message continually gets amplified to the point they can’t see a bad idea for what it is. A bad idea.

They apparently got these ideas while running with wvw guilds during the fall tournament, most of whom I’m sure don’t scout.

Because we can’t find any fights! There’s nothing to stabby stab. I flipped an entire BL of camps, north camp included, and nobody showed up for a fight. It was boring as hell. When white swords were around, people would see them on a map and run to try and intercept them (even on camps, so that even if they couldn’t save the camp they could kill the person(s) who had flipped it) but now, I flip a camp and I’m long gone before anyone can get to the camp and try to fight me. Should I just wait at the flipped camp for people to show up? How is that fun? The roaming fights have dwindled and it’s just become a PvD or PvCamp heaven. The only time I get into a fight now is if someone accidentally runs into me while I’m roaming and that, my friend, is sad.

It was Darkhaven BL, the server that beat us by 40k, and outnumbered us. I had the outmanned buff the entire time I was in there. I hardly believe there was nobody on the map. And yes, white swords often alerted people that things were under attack, so they would move to intercept. It is an issue. It does change things.

Well it is very easy. Towers flipping to paper, why should i use gold to upgrade it when it will be gone soon. Papertower, why scout that or defend, when you can just backcap.

Why defend camp when you don’t need them for upgrade, they can be backcapped. So most borders have Garrison, everything else is paper and is being flipped more often then rabbits makes babies.

There is already karma train in EotM, why turn wvw in to it?

Y it’s a bit harder to roam, but white swords was never main way to find roamers. (to ARK_)

And people started “crying” after first day. For real?

I see still some people taking sm on first reset for big points.

Still people don’t know how to mesemr sweep properly some objectives.

That’s downright insulting, attacks people ad hominem, and nobody’s “crying” so please act in good faith or I’ll report your posts for insults. You can enjoy your 4 day forum suspension. I have been playing the game for 2 years, so I know WvW in and out and have seen the removal of orbs, addition of ruins, and many other things that have been done to the game since its release. I feel I am fully qualified to post my opinions and observations of the white swords change, and even if I hadn’t played WvW for 2 years I still think many of those people have valid opinions and should be allowed to be heard without being told they’re “crying” about it.

I like PPK, but yes, I’d like to see a breakdown of how many points were earned via PPK and how many were earned via PPT. I actually think that PPK would go up with white swords back in the game, which could be really interesting. Keep it civil bro, don’t attack people, and let’s continue the discussion like adults.
