If your server doesn’t have the WvW presence that an opposing server does, the other server shouldn’t be penalized for it. That would lock so many people out of WvW in certain cases.

its a coverage game. you win by transferring to the server with the highest population. not saying thats a good thing, but im pretty sure thats how it was intended, and thats how it will always be
I am just tired of being able to take a 20 vs 20 and completely own them and then their zerg of 80 comes and annihilates us..
So, hundreds of people will not be able to play WvW because you are tired of another server gangking you after they get wiped?
I feel the Op have valid points and good reasonings. .
Once again, the way i see it, Guild Wars 2 system is design to give the Elite/Superior
unfair advantage and unconditional right and power to abuse and suppress the advantage of the lesser/weak.

That makes me think, on wvw just need to play certain classes with a certain build and press 1, its the zergfest of copy pasta builds.
@OP WvW is all about numbers, and that is what makes some servers stronger than another and makes WvW what it is, not allowing players to play if their server has the power to output big numbers is not good also, it is as bad as have 1 mega blob in each side.

Server dedication for X type of activity is usually why players roll on X server.
So this is why this looks like this currently, Most play for PVE so they pick the server for that so either its high pop, language choice, RP etc.
AND because lately anet decided to “super mega bosses hardcore style afk for hours for main” that takes more than a soft cap of a lobby to do it properly. most either transfer to higher pop or just guest.
So “how is this affects wvw?” easy. the rich get richer in full effect.
and this current tourney only shows how its depended on this.
So if you’re on a low pop server i would assume that even PvD is sometimes impossible just to get some “normal” progress.
TL’DR all elements of the game affect the servers balance and dedication of players on X element of the game.
IF the game requires more than 120+ people to do a new event / world boss, of course it will make people leave small servers and go to the high pop ones.
Or even move to the best one for the current event to get the full benefits if you have the extra money.
