You have to do a lot better at the PPT game against darkhaven and fergie if you want to get out of bronze league. It does mean you will have to start camping spawns wherever possible.

I’m not even on NSP btw. XD I just want them boosted to 15th place so I can kill them in Silver League.

It would suck enormously for us (NSP) to be in silver league. But it’d almost be worth it if it could make Devon Carver see the reality of WvW when servers are horribly mismatched.

By the way, what server are you on, OP?

I’m confused, I just assumed this was a “make Devon feel the pain of being on the bottom of a league” thread. However that idea was not even mentioned until half way thought the thread. What is the OP’s problem with NSP?

While I would like to see my beloved server go to silver league instead of bronze, I don’t feel like being steamrolled every week by a 2 bigger servers. I’d prefer trying to be the first one in Bronze League than the last one in Silver League

Oh dont get me wrong, people that know me they know I like NSP due do the high percentage of individual skill players have. Really good small team/roamers there just a server that lacks coverage.

Yes it is a chance that only a few of us will get. I support boosts NSP to the silver league for that reason but at the same time us ppl in the bronze league would no longer get the chance to play against Devon.

If kaineng continues to drop 50 points a week, all it takes is a single matchup with NSP and NSP can also gain 50+ points.

It really depends on the matchmaking. If kaineng has to fight higher rated servers they wont lose enough rating, but a single match with a lower rated server and you can tank over 100 points in a week.

I can’t say I know how recently and how much of that was your fighting force. Northen Shiverpeaks isn’t exactly swimming in population either and they’re goin down in rating too so they’re not makin it easy on you guys. Just I’d put my money that 3 weeks is too short a time to close that rating gap.

It is really more like 2 weeks to make up that gap. NSP won’t be gaining ranking this week unless FC really messes up.

Just saying its possible. It depends heavily on what matchups happen. If kaineng has to fight 16 and below servers twice, it is likely they will lose enough rating in time. And it doesn’t have to be NSP that is pushed up into 15th for kaineng to fall, any server can potentially pass NSP.

I would be all for this idea but it seems like the Devs always come up with plans to do over T3 in a bad way as it is. Last thing we need is to get Devon thinking about what he can do to limit off hours imbalances (any of the T3-T4 servers).

personally, i support throwing devon into the bottom server of the league instead of the top. we can still throw it.

It would likely take 1-2 dedicated guilds transferring onto NSP to do that. I know of at least 1 small guild, and a few dedicated players that have either left or dispersed. Some players may have merged with other guilds but that didn’t necessarily help the coverage. I personally don’t expect NSP to rise to silver, but would certainly enjoy the fights more.

I think that, this sadly must be true.
It is well known that there is a small statue of me in Anet HQ. Proudly swisshing back my pink hair, while ladies on sight of it get overcome with faintness and a spreading warmth, swooning into my perfectly sculpted outstretched arms.

Kaineng isn’t going to lose much more rating that it already has, I think. It’s doing almost as badly as it can right now against SBI so I’d expect that it’s not really possible to lose much more points that it already has.

If next week’s matchup were NSP, Kain, and DR/AR/GoM and Kain were demolished, that might be enough to push Kain below NSP but that seems unlikely.

By the way, if you expect Devon Carver to learn a lesson after having his server beaten up week after week, it won’t work.

NSP was just matched up with SBI then CD then SBI the previous 3 weeks and apparently nothing was learned.

CD is about to lose few guild after being sweettalked into T1.

last i heard Kome and INC is leaving and this is their last week in CD…

so don’t worry i doubt there would be much karma train if we’re in the bronze league.

SF wouldnt mind getting boosted to 16 and get a nice amount of transfers and rolfstomping NSP with Devon on it if NSP stays in bronze. Ahh a man can dream tho

I fully support my server getting murdered in Silver league just so that a certain someone gets spawn camped for a full season. (*edit- especially if the spawn campers are using all ascended gear haha)

To be honest, I actually prefer matches where we are hopelessly outnumbered. Makes everything so much more satisfying whenever we manage to accomplish something during the match.

I do find it hilarious Devon announced he would play on NSP as if it would be some hard fought battle during two league play then shortly after announces that there will be 3 leagues and NSP would be atop the third league. I would love it if they ended up in the bottom of silver league just so he could see the state of WvW for probably half the servers with these random match ups and soon to be league play.

FC we might have had our forum war last match up but for the good of everyone tank the match for the good of all.

Its wonderful how the game incentivies me to play in wvw. First match in a long time that I wish we (NSP) do not win.

The math is pretty simple. Lets pick the bottom ranking world in a league and lets assume that they got a fair match if playing against any of the bottom half of a league. Lets also assume that in such matches, the win ratio will be equally 1/3.

14% chance that you get a fair match, 5% of a win. 2 month season, gives around 32% chance to get a single win rather than straight 8 losses in a row.

Top ranking world in a league will for comparable numbers get a 62% win ratio.

Silver, just stay away from NSP. I don’t want any of that.

2 weeks ago you rolled SF by nearly 150k, and SF would be near the top “tier” of the bronze league.

Even with your “guild losses” the matches would still be greatly in your favor. There will be more players playing when league starts for you than currently is whilst getting steamrolled by SBI. That is just the nature of the fairweather.

NSP you need to make sure you stay in the first slot of the bronze league, while many believe Kain/YB are outnumbered greatly by SBI, we do not believe you would be even remotely compatible with the bronze league population wise

2 weeks ago we still had the guilds that left so that part is not really an apt assessment. I think given a rematch you would find KN more comparable in numbers to SF, at least on reset. We are a ghost town during the week, mostly pug groups that are not organized.

You might be surprised how many numbers you would “magically” have should you fall into the bronze league….BTW what guilds did you lose? [CNB] was a fairly large guild, but a couple of the others I saw claiming to want to leave were not that big numbers wise(coming from someone who faced them in WvW).

You’d have a field day with the bags is what would happen. We are mostly a PvE server now, so when we get fairweathers I sincerely doubt they’d hinder organized enemy pushes much if at all. Do you get more than 5 people in server comms during prime? Congrats, you’re more organized than us on the average day.

We lost CnB and Rx to SoS, they are organized 10-15 raiding guilds and mostly all we had in that department. We also lost 4 or so more smaller guilds to various gold league servers. Not big, no, but it adds up, you know that down in these lower tiers. We’re right now inundated with a bunch of randoms that haven’t learned how to work together yet; we need the bronze league to sort that out. I think the biggest consequence of leagues is that it pits low tier servers against each other in another, uglier way. No one wants to die and burn out at the bottom of their league. Except Maguuma, who is immortal.

Remember, having just “some NA” while having decent oceanic/EU wins lower tier matches. Because some lower tiers have low pop at NA, but none have any oceanic coverage to speak of. Not sure what you guys lost in that department.

I may be wrong but I do not think you will drop to bronze, because many of the servers in bronze had already prepared for lower-silvers to attempt a “tanking”. The bronze league is already imbalanced enough from the top-bottom in comparison, the last thing we need is more of it. Hopefully after the leagues stuff you population lines out and you guys end up at the tier/level you should really be.
