So these weapons are 300 each. Now let’s see you want them all and anet has one season per season so 4 a years and let’s say you get 300 tickets each season with 19 weapon classes that is nearly 4 years for all weapons and 19 seasons and that is just insane. No other weapon skins are that long to get except achievement skins and people have already or almost got all of them. Make the price cheaper.
Tl; dr: mistforged weapons too expensive make them cheaper.

It’ll be fine if they’re sellable like the black lion ticket weapons are.

Is the concept of “you probably won’t be able to get every single thing” really so unpalatable?

Also, your math: if there were four tournaments per year (which there aren’t), and you got 300 tickets per… that’s only sixteen of them. At that rate, you’d need nearly five years.

If you want them, you’d better be in for the long haul.

U expect 300 tickets per season… good that rank 6 of gold league only gets 275…

I’m missing shortbow focus axe warhorn and probably some underwater. Got all others. I can guarantee I haven’t been playing for 4-5 years.

It only costs 100 tickets for the non hero weapons and it unlocks the hero skin for wardrobe. If one server gets 5th and another gets 6th the difference is not 1 to 0 it is really 3 to 2. Everyone can have at least two hero weapons provided that they have transmutes.

Please show me all the characters that will use every single weapon skin…no i didn’t think so.

Folks, I think there is something here that we should examine a bit more closely. There is probably a reason that they chose this quantity and type of tickets for the rewards, and I think we will see why in the next few months.

I would be willing to bet that they will split up the reward and create incentives for people on lower servers to get more tickets by participation in wvw activities, such that when you gain a rank, you may also gain a ticket, or perhaps they will be tied to specific achievements, or even specific events like a capture of stonemist, hills, or bay. Perhaps even in off-tournament wvw fights, on a week-to-week basis.

There is very little reason they would have used so many of these tickets (other than to occupy bank space) when a weapon token, or a 10-to-1 ratio of tickets to weapons could be used; 30 tickets for a weapon, gold rewards being 50, etc.

TL;DC – They may be adding tickets to different aspects of WvW, not just the tournaments.

I’m not saying it’s bad making a choice but the max you can get is one a tourney which who knows how long between each one and you should be able to get like 2 if you placed high

You don’t have a ‘right’ to all of them. Pick one or two if your lucky, gamers are so entitled these days.

Get the hero skin, it’s 100 tickets and as a bonus you don’t get the stupid “stink” aura effect.

if you collec it for the skins, then i would recommend buying the cheaper hero wapons and ‘mistforge’ them yourself. That way you have all the skins probably faster.

If you make the weapon cheap, everybody will have it, making it common, not special.
