Orb and outmanned bonus need to be switched
I agree however magic find is nice… I feel the orbs would lose some of their value.
Depending on the person too.
The orbs dont make a whole lot of sense as of now and the outmanned “buff” does little to help with being outmanned.

They would lose their value but maybe they could add in point gain for holding the orbs also, this would keep players interested.
I disagree, already on my server certain guilds are asking players to leave so their guildies can get in. This would only encourage that type of behaviour, as 50 good, organised players probably would do better with the buff, than 100 non-guildies. The orbs are a big incentive at present… I’m not sure anyone would care too (or as) much about them if they just gave a little extra xp/karma.

Just my thoughts but a person standing with a guild, and that same person randomly joining the guild makes 0 difference.
The only difference here is he doesn’t have the tag by his name. Vent/map chat not a big difference in wvw like it is in something like gvg.
In wvw I can go use the bathroom if I want, thats fine, in gvg if I light a cigarette that could’ve sometimes meant death for your team since you were one player down especially depending on which class you were, there you had no time to really use typing as your main communication method, here you got all the time in the world to type it to people.
If you aren’t using map chat and everyone on the entire server isn’t on the same vent all you are doing is narrowing your communication.

Agree, do away w/ the stat bonuses for orbs and give just karma, xp, and magic find bonuses. The point should be to promote competitve matches not one sided domination furthered w/ stat bonuses.

This will always be true with on without orbs. So I do not see the point here.

They would be as use(less)ful as the outmanned bonus is now… and this is the problem. Outmanned should be a strong buff cause being outmanned is a strong disadvantage.
The Outmanned buff is simply… stupid. We may be outmanned, but we’re going to beat you with karma!!!!!!!

That’s the message the buff sends. The idea to switch Orb and Outmanned has been mentioned many times, but tbh i’m not sure it helps.
Making the lower pop stronger makes no sense, makes small fights favour the less popped team while the zerg still dominates… and the zerg is the problem.
Orbs should simply give bonuses to Gate/Wall strength (not by much, 3% per orb perhaps). Outmanned should increase movement speed and damage against gates and walls.
Would mean we have under pop’d forces that can move around quicker and have more chance of taking fortifications back. Encourages the smaller force to adopt a more guerrilla style… which is exactly what smaller forces should do.

I don’t know if they should be switched but the winning team definitely should not have a stat boost. Both buffs should be reworked.
Switched? …. no, changed? …. Yes.
If orbs had the outmanned buff how many people would work hard to get them? I do think outmanned needs to be changed to something a bit more helpful.
