Please do not remove consumable items.
This consumable is ESSENTIAL for running past campers in the EB JP.

No. Get rid of them. Having a cooldown doesn’t matter when an item gives you access to conditions and such that you wouldn’t normally have. There’s a reason this game has a heavy restriction on how many utility abilities you can slot. Putting longer cooldowns on consumable items just makes them part of an item rotation. It’ll get to the point where you’re not fighting a profession, you’re fighting a hideous amalgamation of items that are being tossed at you.
Tell ppl to stop abusing them! I doubt you have such power so i think the saying “this is why we cant have nice things” applies. Its not bad to stun some one once by use of an item say ever 30 sec but to have no cd ppl will abuse the item to the point of an exploitation.

Keep in mind this is WvW not sPVP. Having a couple more conditions beyond your profession high isn’t much a huge problem, it will however add more diversity (and fun). Also, keep in mind that most people won’t bother using consumables. You exaggerate far too much when you say “It’ll get to the point where you’re not fighting a profession, you’re fighting a hideous amalgamation of items that are being tossed at you.”
To other poster, Unlike Mad King’s Book. These items are available to everyone.
Anet can properly test them for better cool down times, and in the mean time the vendors can quit selling the items.
A random ideal i been playing with that seems related to this is to have in WvW consumable items you buy with gold or badges. To keep these items from braking the game make them only stacks of 1 and make them unique so you can only hold one of these items at a time. Must like the other consumable items in the game why not have a set amount you can hold at one given time not every thing needs to stack in 250.

Go play spvp. It’s your thing.

WvW is meant to be a bridge between PvE and PvP…not sPvP. WvW is intended to be a loose-ruled war. After all, there are no rules in war.
