Like seriously, having 200g+ worth of runes and sigils being stuck in armor sets/weapons I dont use anymore really sucks.

i have about 100g in runes in armor bought for karma..

does anyone ever bough that extarctor from gemshop? cuz he is that cheap its worth…

i dont even care if i get ecto/mats from the salvaged wvw gear, let me get my runes back!!!! PLEASE

Or let us buy runes and sigils with badges too? That way, who cares?

you might find a way to convert badges into gold… somehow. this cannot be permitted. if they give us this, whats next, salvaging karma gear?!

LOL. Now I always test if some gear can be salvaged before using it. I don’t mind spend extra gold now with gear becouse I know in future it can be even more gold loss. Thats why I’m not using event gear, I might only destroy them to free space on my bank. They should reconsider what can be salvaged and what cannot.

Easy fix would be to let us use a Black Lion Salvage kit and only get the applied upgrades back. No materials would be given. This way the concern of badges becoming a way to make money is gone and we can get our runes, sigils, back. The wvw gear doesn’t come with an upgrade so only things we’ve applied would be returned.

They could make any upgrades purchased with badges soul or account bound through the same vendors.

Bunter’s got it. I have some traveler runes trapped in WvW gear and in Karma gear. The black lion kit should be able to extract the runes while destroying the item. If ANET’s worried about the game economy these runes could become account bound when you do it that way.

Add another +1 here. I don’t have a ton of it, but would like to bl salvage for the runes the few pieces in the bank I do have….

For kittens sake! You cannot salvage WvW either!? I made a post a while back about salvaging karma gear. There is nothing in the kittening game that tells you before hand that you cannot salvage these items.

In that post I suggested the following “Since ANet is not against personal usage of the karma items, how about making the runes account bound and not giving anything else from salvaging them? Or at the very least, a “Not salvageable!” text in the item description?”

How about a kittening item description text saying “YOU CANNOT SALVAGE THIS ITEM.” At the very least give us a kittening warning. I am trying to re-gear my characters and now I find that the items I bought with WvW tokens cannot be salvaged and my runes are gone.

The issue isn’t salvaging the gear, the issue is retrieving the upgrades. Please don’t make the issue something it is not.

Said it many times now, there needs to be an in game, non-destructible method to retrieve upgrades. The current system is a bad one and needs an overhaul.

Well yeah, as I said, it’s probably overpriced. :p Arenanet wants you to buy gems.

i wish they had a rune sigil bank that allowed u to change through any runes and sigils u have bought at anytime u want

kind of like there wardrobe system but for runes and sigils.

for as much as i like to change my build i cant pay for it in wvw
cost to much to change builds

only pvp gets that luxury

Except for Generosity sigils… They are more expensive than the extractor.
