wouldnt matter since the dolyaks a meat bag and the guards disappear when it dies, and it will die.
Then maybe the guards upgrade could increase the dolyaks health as well Ms negative Nancy.
Personally I agree that some upgrades should be more meaningful or at least cost less considering how ineffectual they are. Not costing gold would be a good start.

I think you should be able to upgrade to champion Doylaks AND Guards, on separate upgrades of course. Also being able to purchase some sort of auto turret like Dredge Turrets would be cool too.
There’s one good reason to upgrade the dolyak with guards — the guards kill/stop random mobs on the dolyak’s path from killing the dolyak (eg, bats in Pangloss, harpies at Speldon, etc). Without the guard upgrade you’ll often find unescorted yaks being killed by aggro mobs on its route to your team’s keeps and towers.

Hm I observed a Dolyak once, passing by one veteran mob and surviving, because of its really big hit point pool, I’m surprised to hear that there are mobs that actually pose a danger to them.

I agree. Supply camps are too easy to capture.
I didn’t even realise you could upgrade Bessie!!!

Caravan guards should be default. Upgrade allows them to tank all damage given to the Dolyak, forcing players to kill the guards first…it’s a start anyway, lol.

I don’t think caravan guards should be default, but I do think that when the dolyak gets guards its own HP should be upgraded so that you HAVE to kill the guards before you can kill the yak.
The guard upgrade is pretty effective and does make it harder for a party of 5 (which I usually run) to take out a lot of level 82 veteran guards and the souped up Supervisor.
The problem is that people who upgrade supply stations only try to upgrade them to provide caravan guards and increased supply sendout. This is a money loss if done by itself. If you plan on upgrading a supply station, keep your group there and upgrade it fully until it has roving guards and improved guards.
Loudmouth, lousy PvPer, and mediocre PvEer.

Follow an unescorted dolyak from Speldons to Anzalias Pass in EB. They’ll often die due to random mobs attacking them (harpies are the ones I’ve seen killing them the fastest).

Oh I see. I think it is exclusive to EB actually.
