For those of you who are on the receiving end of a beating very often, you’ll acknowledge that Outmanned is worthless. While it does give incentive for people to do WvW, the lack of captured points (Which is typically WHY servers get the outmanned buff in the first place) makes itkittennear impossible to do anything.

Incentive should be in place to have people want to participate in WvW when they are stuck in a corner. Personally, I think that the idea should be changed in two parts.

Add a buff called “Overwhelmed” that is activated when a world has less than 10% of potential points (70). Give it the stats of Outmanned, with a single addition: When you are involved in a capture event (Excluding sentries), you receive a loot bag. Simple enough. It allows for people to actually use that buff that they’re given, and it becomes relevant.

Outmanned, on the other hand, should be changed to something a bit more helpful. All stats should be increased by 75, to give a world a fighting chance. It wouldn’t be as bad as Tenacity, but it would still give applicable worlds that needed boost.

Not a buff, but a needed change. Observant players will notice that all guards in the Borderlands Citadels are completely useless. They’re in a position that no enemy can reach. So, why not move them out to the portal “doors” out of the Citadel? At that point, you would have less spawn camping. The addition of player controllable arrow carts is also a possibility, as it would allow for the players to deal with spawn campers, and profit from it.

Re-name the buff “Tonight, WE DINE IN KAINENG!” for that added effect of peril, and I like it.

At least fix t so it re-applies when you respawn, sick of having to rezone to refesh my partically useless outnumbered buff.. THANKS.

in “The game that shall not be named” in Wintergrasp the outmanned buff buffed players to the point they one shot people so a group of 5 just walked through the zerg easily with no effort because they 1 shot everybody.

I don’t see how something like that would fix anything, I enjoy small scale fights in WvW. If I have the outmanned buff and run into a guy for a 1v1 and I beat him because of that buff there will be no satisfaction.

They should just reverse the outmanned buff with the orb of power buff. Makes sense to me. As it stands, the server with the zerg easily claims the orbs of power which gives them 15% more hp and 150 more to all stats which makes the zerg even more unstoppable. What good is a magic find buff for a server that can’t leave their base without being overwhelmed by a 4 to 1 zerg?

I usually see outmanned when I go to a map my server owns the vast majority of. The people on my team don’t wanna stay on a “boring map” so they transfer to the action.

Fine by me, I bring my alt and walk safely around the zones to harvest materials and get my map discovered. I always thought it was meant to help lure both the losing or the winning team back to that map (depending who has it). I thought that’s why they gave magic find, to bring people back to defend maps they already own rather than conquering one and moving to another.

I may be proving your point, I kinda got lost in that train of thought :p
