Since arena net has finally removed crafting stations from wvw (freeing up a handful of queue slots), I feel the mystic forge is more of a culprit for people idling in wvw.
It really has no place in wvw, no one caps a garri over mystic forge access, instead those people go to lions arch. the forges presense is more of a quality of life thing for people converting soul bound karma gear into base materials without needing to way point and travel back and forth to vendors in tyria.
It can sometimes lead to queue space taken up, but mostly it allows for the out manned mechanic to be inaccurate which many scouts rely on in off hours

Please no. Outside of selling to the lady next to it, most people aren’t there for more than a minute anyway—but usually just a few seconds—then they’re back to whatever they were doing before. Removing that just means having to sit on loading screens to LA for a decade just to use the MF for one item for a daily, then sitting on a loading screen to go back into wvw to continue what they were doing before. It would be yet another unnecessary removal of a convenience item that isn’t actually hogging the mostly non-existent queue.
I would prefer it be moved to citadel, my only problem with it is that I sometimes accidentally click it during fights when I am moving around on the platform above it and it opens that kitten window..
I’d be fine if it was removed, but I don’t think it really has any real impact on the population for the most part. I have a mystic forge conduit that I use in WvW when I need to get rid of a bunch of sigils or something.
I definitely would rather see it removed than moved to Citadel. If it is in Citadel, its too convenient and PvE players will just go into WvW to use a forge to save their 1 silver on waypointing to LA.

Actually we have a guild that used to cap an enemy garri or SMC for legendary craftings. I don’t know if they still do but it was definitely a tradition for them. They would use our own garri’s mystic forge if for whatever reason an enemy keep/SMC was just too much out of reach. I realize not every WvW guild does that and they are likely a minority, but it is/was a fun tradition all the same.

Right click the guild banker on any map spawn to get personal bank.
Keep the Mystic Forge. Those that don’t use it don’t defend apparently.

Remove bank, mystic forge, vendors and pretty much everything that has a permanent/endless item. You wan’t to Mystic Forge in WvWvW? Buy a Mystic Forge conduit, simple as that.

Ya, its rather hypocritical of Anet but this is likely the reason they will choose to not remove it.
Taking time to craft ur food/weapons/armour is increasing que times, but taking time to craft ur superior siege is fine…..cause reasons. Everyone knows how ridiculously long it takes to craft enough superior siege.
Anyways they’ll be decreasing the idle time next….to something even more ridiculous, at which point why would you even want to use the forge for anything more than a couple craftings.
They could free up a ton of que space by getting rid of all npc interaction. no bank no anvil no merchants no forge nothing…it would free up space! IT WOULD!!!!!! To those complaining about que lengths….that would be an easy fix. Rejoining the maps would present shorter que times as welll…..so some might suffer in needing to change their gear….but the d/c complainers would be happier.

Outside the normal WvW weapons/ armor vendor we only need guild/player account and TP npc’s.
*Mystic toilet is an alternative way to get sup siege and clean character bags…
Remove all the things! Mystic forge, vendors, merchants, banks, guild dude, TP, nodes, all must go! Reduce those queue times and #MakeWvWGreatAgain! /s

The forge isn’t really necessary now with the Permanent Portable Provision-er and Provision Master. Bank is a must,especially when you need to make a weapon/Armour change.
Lol okay I’m still salty from last nights kitten kicking. I mean we got as many that came at us and even up’d our KD ratio last night, but just looking around at all the downs and inevitably being swallowed up during that SMC battle … makes me want to log in and exact some revenge. But I take the good with the bad, and roll with it.

I actually find it handy to have the mystic forge to run up siege, it would be good for scouts to use when they are looking after an objective, gives them something to do
You might aswell ask to remove repair vendors and merchants too….
Mystic Forge is sometimes a daily. I would miss it on those days.
Here’s the thing, I find sometimes after a particularly grueling fight I want to completely change my build. If we don’t have garri, whatever, I deal with my stats, but if we do, I will absolutely throw my armor in the forge and swap stats if I feel the fight needs it.
Now, I have the portable forge, which is all well and good, but that doesn’t come with the forge attendant, which you need to do the manuever I described above. This is WvW related, therefore the forge is necessary for wvw in some cases.

Good suggestion, we might as well remove the bunch of NPCs that sells useless stuff in the citadel, while we are in the citadel, who needs an exotic Bandit weapon, anyway? and who is in this world would ever purchase, for any reason rare or below? Totally useless and it takes space in the NPC inventory. You can do all your purchases in Lion Arch. I never buy traps, out it goes, all i need is the guy to fix my armor? right? The rest can go and we might as well get rid of the banker in Garrison, what’s the use of having him there, even more so with all these NPCs in the keeps, who needs them, most of them are overcomed by zergs anyway, so they are pretty useless. one thing that should go away is all those nodes places, what’s the use of that since no one craft, here. Let peoples that needs ore and plants collect them on a real PVE map and increase the count and population there.
That certainly is in the logic of removing all the crafting stations.
Maybe with those changes, we’ll see a real improvement in queues lines. So far I noticed no improvement and I still see queues going to EB and they never had crafting stations. How interesting?
My observations, in the last few months have proven that there continues to have queues in EB, that has no crafting stations, therefore the problem is somewhere else.
One can easily assume that all the nodes in camps, keeps and elsewhere negatively affect the traffic. I’ve seen many interfering with the normal flow of the game by jumping on those nodes and delaying responses, therefore their impacts are far more negative then a few strays on a workstation out of EB. I vote for getting rid of that since it has no use in WvW and crafting is not a desired function. As well there are far too many NPC’s offering rarely used services that could be moved to Lion Arch as well. No penalties, here for full-time WvW players, since they can easily come back from Lion Arch, once the maps are totally cleaned.

wich can be replaced by a NPC :|, but would loose all other aspects of the mystic toillet.
Seriously, I’m confused by what some of you guys views about what wvw should be is, but, theres a good majority of people that spend 8 or more hours in wvw everyday, they don’t go to LA or anywhere else at all and as a result need some or all of the available resources. Some of these suggestions to remove this/remove that are more for detering people that that come in for an hour or less, but, what about everyone else?
And blaming the ques on crafting, forging or even noding, is a bit naive, when you’re completely bypassing the issue that maybe 9 servers in 1 tier is what caused and continues to perpetrate the que issue.
Remove players from WvW that aren’t at least platinum, sorted, no more long queue times with the plebs. Only the righteous, committed elite will get to play with our full ascended armour, decked out with stat increase infusions. It will usher in a new golden age of idiocy between people who have no clue why people don’t want to play WvW.

There is a side effect, though easy kills may become difficult, like a zerg eliminating a scout, may become a rare event.
