Requesting change to keep contest criteria
Since release my personal opinion is that a waypoint should contest when there is a breach in inner and/or outer and stay contested so long as this is true.

In order to preserve the usefulness of wall guards and patrols at Reinforced and above, can we retain the white swords if guards are aggro’d but keep the waypoint uncontested until actual siege damage is done?
OR they could just revert the kittened new waypoints to what was working fine for 3 years and once again allow us to cooperate to overcome the “issue” (ie scouts say when you can port).

Similar problem as thieves would just stand at the door and Cloak and Dagger or similar until it disabled the WPs. They just made it easier (and vastly more annoying thanks to NPCs) to contest. The WP issue has been annoying since release.

I just find it really stupid that things automatically contest as soon as a guard attacks another player. I mean its hard to run by alot of towers and NOT aggro the guards without taking a very large detour. It would make sense that guards only lead to contested objectives if they are actually attacked in some way. It’s stupid that it contests after the gunner girl fires at me and I literally dodge the attack and it never hits me, but it contests anyway since she fired an attack at me. Yet you can aggro them and not contest it, but only so long as they don’t attack.
