Romove Stonemist Castle
Three ways are not for fights they are for love. However stone mist is fine. And why the hell would anyone want to fight a pve boss wvw?
If I wanted to fight a stagnant boss I’d do dungeons.

You are not fighting a PvE boss you are fighting 2 servers…
Currently you are fighting 2 gates to access the lord. What I propose is to fight 3 champion to access the lord. But only the 2 other servers can stop you from capping the champion seal and killing the lord.

The skill lag would be atrocious. I dunno. Sounds too pve for my taste.

No. They should have made SM have 3 sets of walls/gates and bump the points its worth so that taking SM would actually become an important and vital tactic in EB. Right now the only good reason to take SM is to constantly be trebbing the the outer towers for each server and hitting OL.
By the way, why is it that the only keep you can treb from SM belongs to the last place team? Seems to me that someone should of thought of that at some point, and edited the distance between the two. One of these days I’m gonna stop trying to apply logic to video games :/

For a serious defense of sm, its all about the inner keep, this should be where all you ac/ballistas are, especially the champion room itself. With enough defenders/siege the champion room is a suicide room for any invaders. I have spent many hours in the sm champion room, farming badges from invaders who never seem to know when to give up…

Agreed. All that place does is give a marginally stronger server in the tier a lot more power often with a centralized waypoint and the ability to treb at least 5 towers safely and arguably the red keep (not as safe though). The other problem with it is the lag… it greatly bogs down eternal by focusing server zergs.

I’d like to remove the skill lag Stonemist saddles us with and if getting rid of that huge center castle was the only way to do that I would be all for it. I don’t think we need more PvE in WvW tho, just maybe a bit more open space to goof off in.

I would absolutely love if we just removed the entire PvP aspect, and just had a ton of champion bosses to fight. That would make WvW much better. No more PvDoor, there is actual resistance. And no more skill lag, as we could just separate EB into 3 separate servers which each group could fight separately! I mean, that would solve the lag problem, and the PvP issue. Nobody wants that anyways.

We will never know the reason why they did that and it doesn’t really matter anymore now since everyone got equal chance to be red but before it wasn’t that great.
Either the weakest was so bad that they were the one being treb from SM and lost their keep or they were good enough to treb SM to help blue cap it
Skill lock in a 3 way SM lord room battle is no fun. I agree that a new approach to the way stone most works needs to be implemented. I like the suggested idea of the seals. That sounds like a whole lot more fun, and would keep everyone out of the middle of the castle where those far too laggy battles take place.

oh the advantage of having our keep’s outer wall constant broken makeing defeinding the keep harder(the trebs can reach from sm to overlook to and not only just the other way around)

Bad idea… We need more New maps not to remove SMC. Map with lots of towers that is focused around smaller wvw instead of a giant zerg. At least a map with double the towers and camps maybe?
I like the larger scale fights but sometimes I would enjoy smaller more skill full fights. Map that is spread out more and has more objectives would allow for smaller guilds and groups to be more effective.
Random thought, Remove the doors, guards, and the ability to cap SM. Leave the destructible walls, ability to place siege, and the castle itself. Let people use it as a massive battleground….

Three-ways = Terrible Skill Lag on WvW-centric/populated servers.
WvW is BROKEN and does not support large epic battles for a Three-way. Even Two-way is pushing it sometimes at an EB home keep battle.
Upgrade current servers from C64s would be a start. :P

Delete SM and replace it with a huge plateau of roughly the same area, accessible by 3 routes corresponding to each of the servers 1/3 of EB.
Would be fun charging up that plateau fighting forces while trying to clear whatever trebs/defensive siege they had going. So basically like stonemist, minus the walls, and cap-able point.
I only say this because in the mid-lower tiers SM becomes the sole focus of the masses, often to the detriment of an entire server, and sometimes even an entire weeks worth of matchups.
