Sigil of air/fire still worth taking?
Seeing as the meta has heavily shifted toward conditions in areas where these sigils really mattered, them being worth it is relative. Air IMO has always been pointless. Fire is still good, in particular for long range main weapons (such as necro staff).
I dunno what the experience on your server is, but on mine, the only condition aspect that is predominant, is roaming. In group play, conditions are so easily cleansed, with the multiple AoE cleanses, they are extremely neutered.

Did people ever use double sigils anywhere else as meta, other than to gank (most commonly using Thief)? This is the reason why I said in areas where these sigils really mattered.

Fire/Air was meta for all pick team builds. I ran it on necro staff as well, as you mentioned.
I guess what I’m really asking is whether or not fire/air is the go-to sigil for when you don’t have anything else you particularly need. For instance, if I already have energy slotted and won’t benefit from condi duration, poison application, etc, like on a shoutguard.
I think in PvP, mesmer/thief are using sigil of blood as as a replacement. Then they pick air or fire depends on whether they need aoe damage or single-target damage.
I dont use either anymore (on necro and ele). The added dmg is to low now, so there is better alternatives imo
I think Blood is a better choice over Air these days. I really think it’s stupid they don’t include stealth nerfs in patch notes. Do they really think people won’t find out?
No. Take utility instead.
I tried the sigil of rage on my necro for a while, where I would weapon swap and head strait into shroud for life blast (you can pair it with sigil of intelligence if you dont have any crit chance). It worked ok. It gives some semi-decent burst

One of Fire/Air I like because it can be used to track stealthed targets, particularly for cleaving when downed and invis (if you don’t have some other on hit boon/effect/animation proc)

I often wonder why so many people look down on this particular sigil… especially in WvW where 25 stacks are so easy to maintain with aoe skills.
Currently using sigil of blood and force on my d/p thief. Seems to work ok for me, I don’t think sigil of blood is for slow attacking weapons (staff/hammer)

I forgot this was the WvW forum. Yes, bloodlust, depending on the class and build it might have more of a place than something else.
It’s been pretty meta to run at least one of these sigils of a whole lot of different WvW builds for a pretty long time, such as pick thief/ mesmer, guardian, necro, etc. Since they were stealth nerfed a patch or two ago, are they still worth taking over, say, force? I’m not looking for numbers (have those already), just personal anecdotes.
For roaming on power builds ? Maybe, they are still pretty good. But if you run anything outside of roaming, or outside of power build, Sigil of Generosity is the bomb, a lot of people still like to run Energy or Stamina for extra dodges. Outside of that it really depends on what build, what situation and even what is the rest of your team comp.

Sigil of Generosity is a very expensive option. Probably outside the reach of most players.
