And you just lost last week to an “unorganized” server. Well that explain how kitten you are this week… u mad bro?

Your unorganized server has won 1 out of 7 matches. There is no circumstance where a rational person could think that winning 1 out of 7 matches (soon to be 8 ) means that you’re the better server. It’s ok though. In another 6 weeks when you still haven’t won another matchup you’ll still be saying “remember that time when we beat you”. It will be as empty then as it is now.

I don’t think anyone who works their kitten off in WvW underestimates the importance of the large organised guilds on the server (i.e. Tsym, Agg, Atac, MERC etc), the thing is that they form the backbone of the effort. While these guilds are the core driving force, you can’t just dismiss the efforts of the malitia or smaller guilds on the server.

We have one awesome malitia force (not up to the TA/HoD standard) but are a force in their own right. Egos removed from this great work on all sides, and its sad to see SBI drop out from lack of coverage, because all three servers have proven that they deserve to be in tier 1. Forum warriors are going to be forum warriors, but at the end of the day putting in the effort in a highly organised way wins you T1, not comparing the size of your kitten.

Well thanks for the fun all these long 4 months in WvW. SOS nor its commanders are no better than any other server from a tactical perspective, we just have a 6-8hr Oceanic easymode window most days to PVDoor our competitors and fortify up significantly. Fix that, and you’ll be hard to beat, especially JQ with their EU coverage.

I predict there will be 3-8hour sessions each day where each will take their time slot and pvd door race and see at the end of the week who can pvdoor faster.

Best servers of all time are not determined by how many games you can win as quick as possible. Its about how many you can win over a long period of time. How long is your server willing to fight? You can call yourselves the best server ever, and I will not say JQ is because to be fair WvW will become become bigger. And more servers will come out of the shadows like SoS did. Bottom line, is best server….by all means if you think so. Just remember theres still a long way to go.

Whoa dude, I was being sarcastic. I am not from SoS. I was imitating all the SoS people on this thread, because they are acting much like Kanye West (whom I quoted). He was boo’ed off stage after saying that (not exact) quote to Taylor Swift. I was making a comparison of SoS to Kanye because they are acting much the same way, with the whole New Year’s holiday as an excuse for losing ONE time, and JQ getting their third win. Its like someone kitten in there Cheerios due to one insignificant loss out of the how many do they have now?

I see a lot of poster who do very little in WvW making a LOT of noise. Maybe some of you SoS folks should go thump the chest of Tsym for making your server better. MERC is a crumble n run. Agg likes to 30 v 1. The only time we get worried when an offensive is going on is when we see Tsym.

How to beat MERC. Hold them up in the front. Send 5 people at them on the side and AoE their back line. MELT! Saw this 12 times yesterday on ED. How’d yer broken trebs taste?

How to beat Agg. Run a scout just within sight of their zerg. Pull them close as you can to your hidden force. Let them get the scout in a downed state. They don’t have one person killing the scout, they have 10 fools doing a finisher. Then Tada!. Our group comes out and wipes them.

Tsym on the other hand… they’re doing something. You have to stop and think because you know they have. They’re not just singing lalalalalala and zerging along taking soft targets and dropping siege and stacking on their Immortals (lol @them). No, Tsym is going to bring the pain. And the other guilds do what Tsym says to do or they die.

Pay attention BG and you will find it. Tsym rules SoS. The other groups, just make sure you have close to equal and you’ll win easy.

I’m just glad that we are fighting till the end regardless of win or lose. Go JQ.

The fact of the matter regardless of what you think is SoS’s presence was halved, and that’s what JQ beat.

Can JQ beat SoS when SoS is here? No – at least not currently. This week obviously shows last weeks JQ win was due to lack of numbers, and not JQ suddenly learning how to WvW.

That being said JQ does have several guilds that are very skilled, and we look forward to seeing those guys on the battlefield every week – they keep it fun/interesting.

Are you all that hurt over one loss though? A majority of SoS’ers are acting like they are, having to use the holiday absence, whether true or not, as a crutch. Its 1 loss out of what – 0? You shouldn’t have to remind everyone else how much SoS has won since they got to Tier 1 – we can read numbers and forum posts.

Maybe its time to server hop, there’s probably less angsty people in a lower tier. SBI has been the least angsty in this thread. I am just stirring the pot really, and its working – its called boredom.

One more point – is there some strange phenomena where it was only New Year’s for Oceanic? Last I checked, it was New Year’s week for a lot of people, just not Oceanic. You don’t think other servers were also celebrating New Year’s?

Anyways, let’s move on. New week next week, and we can welcome BG back to Tier 1.

Lol random naked SoS defender. I do that from time to time, to save on repair cost. I’m not saying that’s what that player is doing, but I’m assuming. ANet should just remove armor repair costs from WvW – we don’t have to repair armor in sPvP, so why in WvW?

There was this one time, I don’t remember what week it was, that an Agg warrior or thief kept on coming after me – I think it was warrior because she never stealthed. I was with my friend, who was playing his necro, and we kept on killing her. It was kinda weird. Even when there was a zerg of us, she would single me out. It was kinda interesting. She did down me once when I was heading away from one of our towers but there was a thief on my team that came out of nowhere (stealth is OP) and killed her then rezzed me from downed…I prob should of not been looking at my map and sitting still though. Just thought I’d share my rather weird experience with a well known guild.

People like you show less class than the chest-thumpers/forum warriors. You seek ways to fracture the other servers’ unity. Good thing SoS has a great community that cares more about the server more than individual guild fame.

I have no problem with you praising or belittling individual guilds’ performances, but to judge them in a way with main intention to stir up drama is extremely rude and disgusting (because that’s exact what you are trying to do, there’s no reason why you phrased your statement that way otherwise).

MERC is pretty bad. All they know how to do is take holidays. They’re really good at that though. But I guess that’s enough for such a casual noob guild. They are also a pretty good zerg and doesn’t afraid of anything.

I remember when I ran crying to Coron when I was in charge of EB back in tier 3 and getting completely destroyed. Coron and Tsym taught me how to play WvW. Nowadays, after learning from Coron, EB is like a children’s playground and I’m the big bad bully.

Good job SOS, we’ve been in T1 for 9 weeks and this week is our 8th win! We came for the best fights in GW2, and we’re looking forward for more!

A server dropping a tier has nothing to do with one single guild. Sure it hurts but SBI is resilient and will be back I’m sure of it. I’ve discounted them a few times and it’s bit me in the kitten Good luck SBI hope to see you soon lots of good folks there. And congrats to SoS you’ve won another tier 1 match up. It might continue like this it might not but thats the thrill of WvW it can change week to week.

I’m going to assume that this isn’t completely true, but if it is, that’s pretty sad. If it is true, SoS needs to have better sportsmanship conduct, being #1 and all. Geez, I don’t recall other Tier 1 servers causing this much angst. Good job SoS?

Well technically they shouldn’t need to prove they are number 1, because they are essentially. They have won 6/7 (I think 7 total, or is it 8 now?) since joining Tier 1 against JQ and SBI. So currently they are number 1, and there is really no way to dispute that. Yes we (JQ) won last week, but that doesn’t change the fact that in the current matchup of these 3 servers they are clearly dominating.

Now if they want to claim they are number 1 in skill/tactics or what have you, I agree that it can be a little bit harder (RE: Impossible) to prove that. The WvW game isn’t designed to identify the number 1 server in terms of skill ALONE. It is a combination of many things.

SoS right now has the right combination of whatever they have to make themselves number 1. That just can’t be disputed. We can’t comment on individual aspects of the battle (individual player skill, player cohesiveness/teamwork, player numbers etc…), we can only really guess at each individual thing. This is all coming from someone from JQ since the beginning (and I pretty much exclusively play WvW when I’m online….like 95% or so).
