Hello! I just wanted to make some small requests of my fellow players.

If you are from CD you probably think of me as the mad red pirate that toils endlessly alongside a dolyak in an endless quest to upgrade All The Things.

If you are from FA or TC you probably think of me as that squishy blue ranger toiling endlessly alongside a dolyak in a hopeless quest to upgrade All The Things you are just going to take anyway.

My fellow CD players, I would ask that if you should see me walking alone beside a slowly plodding dolyak, that you please toot your horn or otherwise put a speed burst on as you pass to assist my efforts. It is for the good of the server!

And ye nemesis of TC and FA, I ask that if you should see me toiling all alone with a dolyak, that you wave at me before you stake me to the ground.

Honestly getting sick of TC. Just so pointless fighting against them when no matter where you go they outnumber you at least 2 to 1.

We had [Outmanned] buff on our own BL earlier this morning when CD was assaulting Bay as well as in EB. I first headed to EB, saw Outmanned and not much happening, moved to TCBL, saw CD attacking Bay and saw Outmanned on our own BL and eventually lost Bay after quite a long fight, and eventually took em all down at Sunnyhill and took back Bay. So, yes we all have our own weak timeslots.

Thanks again Sam for showing up with reinforcements and saving the day!

Also, thanks to the FA zerg that left me alone yesterday in CDBL at champions while I was getting vistas. Getting the north skill points was a bit harder with CD though. A few knew what I was doing but it dosent take many to bring down someone who bows at you and dosent fight back.

We have our weak times as well – ask CD’s oceanic force. Yesterday we were outmanned on the only 2 maps we had any presence on for a good few hours.

Obviously the fact that we are leading by such a margin indicates that we have an overall numbers advantage, but it’s not like we lead zergs 24/7. Some of us have to play on times where both servers take turns essentially crapping on us.

Sooooooo back on subject. I wonder what it will be like on Friday after the patch. Another event to kill our WvW populace. I hope they at least do something good with professions that are hurting this patch. I’m starting to see a noticeable decline in players.

I dunno about CD, but tarnished coast has a significant numbers advantage over us at least 85-90% of the time.

Anyway, worry not! Next week other two servers can roll all over TCBL when most of us are busy grinding Wintersday content. Atleast during weekend, we definitely won’t be able to secure the heavy lead that we usually been having for the past 1 month. And I’m not sure if we can pull ahead during the rest of the week given the fact that the event will last for quite a long time, unless most of us get bored of the event.

I feel they should include some event-related stuff to W3 as well so that completionists from all server feel encouraged to show up.
Also the upcoming W3 changes, especially the breakout events seems interesting and very helpful for servers who feel overwhelmed by enemies during any timeslot. Let’s see how it plays out and how it affects every server in every tier (below T2 that is).

Pretty sure the vast majority of CD players will be doing Winter’s day too. Seems we’re the unofficial PvE sever after all.

In fact it’s likely that all servers will be doing Winter’s day stuff for the most part.

Let’s just hope that enough people from all servers will show up for the dolyak walk, even if it starts snowing!

Its litterally just you being negative so far. You guys man large enough forces off of your prime time to be big threat. Everyone knows that TC has more numbers in general, you dont have to keep reminding people. What the other guy tells you is true, durring the day in NA we have more people than any other time, and now is about the time I’ve known FA to push hard with GODS, and shortly after that CD should be pushing with their usual time slot.

And about this yak parade? Lets make this happen

If we make it happen, let’s all of us just try to turn off auto-attack and be careful with whatever we do. We don’t want a brawl at a friendly parade.
I once mistakenly hit an enemy in EB JP while activating my speed skill. I was like OH SH**. I jumped down, waved, cried and all that and eventually got killed as I didn’t mean to be hostile.
Anyway, it would be great if this parade actually takes place.

It’s been my experience that with enough arrow carts the largest of zergs can be magically transformed into soil enriching corpses. A good defense, especially when outnumbered IS the best offense.

So….. what time is this Dolyak parade? Im intrigued.

Some lovely person from CD made a post about walking dolayks, another guy from TC proposed that all 3 servers walk with her, another guy from CD agreed to it, and probably someone from FA did as well. So in the light of recent he-said, she-said stuff and the thread getting locked, we’re trying to bring a friendly aura to this thread.

True that! Real fun in a fight is when you’re outnumbered with [outmanned] actually showing on your screen and you fight till the end. CD built quite a lot of siege (which we kept taking out with suicide runs and our counter trebs) at BV and took out the outer wall. I ported to garrison (stupid siege merchant at inner bay suddenly bugged out), and bought a bunch of siege to turn lord room into death trap. I think I’ve built more siege than there were players to man the siege lol. If the stupid Lord stayed within the circle and not moved out, we would’ve had a better chance to take them all out as I saw quite a lot of CD going down to our siege. Eventually they took us out, and the rest is history.
Yak parade is still under proposal from TC and under consideration from FA & CD. Once all parties come to an agreement of non-hostility, we can plan it sometime before reset.

Well call me old and cynical. I’m calling it here that the parade dolyak is going to die and a massive brawl will happen.

If its anything like the past, we would have a parade shooting fireworks escorting the yak. I wouldn’t be surprised if the golem worshipers showed up with their own representation in the parade.

To anyone complaining about TC outnumbering you…. don’t blame TC, blame your server’s failed strategy in which 2nd and 3rd place attack each other instead of focusing on 1st place.

This allows TC to place it’s forces where ever they want, while the two of us play 2v1 defense and pretend what we do matters.

If this forum had a WvW between Tiers 1, 2, and 3….

… those poor guys not in Tier 3 would have permanent outmanned buffed.

I like the post-WvW march with the Yak. I think FA and TC have been wonderful opponents. Also, it’d be nice to walk alongside each other in peace and harmony to mark Wintersday.

This makes perfect sense because everyone knows that there is a correlation between players who RP and players who quit playing WvW during events with an r-squared of 1.0.

Actually, TC’s strength is in its pug militia/numbers. We have a large population (being a full server), but most of it isn’t dedicated to WvW. When you see TC move around, how many guild tags do you see? Tons. TC has much fewer “dedicated” WvW guilds and those that we have don’t field nearly the numbers that our counterparts do. Therefore, while obviously every server will be hit population-wise by events, TC’s pug-majority WvW population gets hit even harder. It’s really obvious from our history of matchups – in particular vs FA during Lost Shores weekend where TC was at one point last place during the event weekend. There’s also our performance against SoR during halloween week, but they are a much stronger server than us anyway so I guess you can’t really conclude much from that week.

I hope nobody takes what we are saying as some pre-emptive excuse for whatever happens during event timings, not that we have anything to prove.

I don’t know if I am on the same page as other CD players. But I am having much more fun in this matchup than T4. Those alliance and strenght comparison drama dont bother me at all. You guys are overall much cooler than both Ebay and Mag.

Calling it here and now, since both CD and YB appear to be on board with this yak march. Fort Aspenwood players are going to kill the yak because of their blind rage toward Yak’s Bend. I’m surprised they don’t camp dolyaks 24/7 just to get another shot at killing a yak.

To be honest, I’ve been laughed at a lot as soon as someone kills me, from both servers in fact. Earlier I used to bow to corpses regardless of the server, still I’ve been seeing lots of laugh or dance emotes. So I am making sure to laugh at anyone that dies defending something.

Being on the enemy server, I wouldn’t know who killed me earlier in a honorable way and moved on and who laughed at me. Its all Red enemy players that are between me and my target. So I just kill them, and give them a taste of their/their brethren’s own medicine.

I haven’t seen many of us doing that in the past. FA/CD have provoked this behavior in us. As I wrote earlier, all servers are doing it. If 3 from TC do it at any point in time, 10 from FA and 15 from CD do it. I never emoted at any YB corpse, if anything I used to bow to them because at no point have I ever seen any YB player laugh at a dead body except just a wave maybe, if anything they used to dance while cata’ing a structure and that’s it.

If you would like to receive an invite to the Team Dolyak mini guild, please send me an in-game mail and I will invite you. Perhaps if you wear the DOLY tag, the CD players will have mercy on you as you make your way north. There is also, apparently, a guild with the tag DUEL that you can join if you want to duel players from other servers.

I’m fairly certain that like…five people will show up, and randoms will end up killing all of us and the yak. XD But whatever, it’s about having fun.

If you want the parade to not fall apart you’ll have two mobs of players that can smack around any thieves that try to harm the yak, and the players with aoe heals can do quite a bit to protect the yak. There are also some stealth options to keep the yak out of harm’s way.

You need to not say things like this, it’s very difficult for me not to respond with “challenge accepted!” when everyone else is being so diplomatic! :p

I had a lot if fun today/tonight in TC BL. To the Tc people there with me those quiet hours were fun but dealing with KH’s rampage on the bay with a helping of FA to worry about, well, it was fantastic. I had so much fun I stayed up to round two just now with e—- something guild. It was a lot of fun dying a lot.

Sometimes it is called for though, that is why we have them available. Here is a very common example. I am running past an enemy tower, minding my own business on my way to wherever. Down jumps someone from the wall and they start attacking me. I stop, come back and fight for 10 seconds and then they run back into the tower.

Personally I think that is laugh worthy.

I’ll just say this is a really fun match up , and have been the past 5 days and we have 2 more days to enjoy it , im also here for TC’s best ram position that made us all laugh rly hard , ty guys
