Tag Teaming
This idea makes no sense in all honesty. First of all the population cap is I believe 80, although Ive heard different numbers, it already causes too much lag and other issues for many players, doubling or triping that would make wvw unplayable for anyone. Second having a home bl pop advantage is flat out unfair and impractical and would essentially make players upgrade everything making ppt nearly impossible on any bl except for EB and thus wvw would become extremely boring and not fun for anyone. You assume each side would field max numbers on each map, and this hardly ever happens, and especially wont with those figures. Having the home bl in larger size would mean nobody goes on other maps, it makes no sense. Also this would do nothing whatsoever to help smaller servers but instead would punish them. I cant understand the reasoning behind this idea.

The server with the lowest population gets double teamed because they have the lowest population. The other 2 servers are avoiding the hard fights and squabble over scraps. It doesnt matter how big of an advantage you give anywhere, the low pop servers areas will still have the most fighting.
IMHO the issue has more to do with commanders. There’s a natural tendency to get focused by two servers when the third server is not attacking the other server. Of course it helps if the other two servers are also attacking each other on their homebls, but if you’re going into a situation where that is not occurring, then you are going to be outnumbered on your homebl to the point where you can’t successfully defend it. Especially with this no-white-swords event. Especially if you have a lower population than the other servers. All you are doing is letting the enemy servers upgrade their stuff and making it more difficult for yourself.
There’s a point at which, if you are playing the PPT game, you should be avoiding getting tied up into fights to defend your stuff and just go cap and backcap objectives. And this is where this game gets boring. It’s extremely boring to do this. This is how Anet is killing this game mode, helped along by players and guilds who 2v1 against the lower population server. It becomes not a fight against players or even servers. It’s a fight against boredom.
