Me and my guildmates like to play as a striketeam (4 players) in WvW
As you know, a striketeam is able to quickly take supplycamps, and (with a bit of luck) can ‘ninja strike’ a tower and capture it.

We are always frustrated to see an enemy zerg capturing our just taken camps/towers, reducing our attacks just to little distractions or a mid-way ‘snack’ on the road.

We are playing in the Far Shiverpeaks server, and are currently sneaking around in the Aurora’s glade Borderlands. Aurora is pretty dominant and squashes every sting we are able to do.

With four, we are just useless against an enemy zerg. We can’t take a keep, we can’t hold positions, we can’t divide tasks, we can do nothing really usefull to get our server permenantly in the ‘real’ fight.

When a commander shows up, we are able to hold briar, lake andsome supplycamps. But that all gets lost when the commander leaves and people divide up in solo or small groups like ours.

The problem is not the culling, it’s not the ZvZ, or anyhting else.
It’s people just wandering useless around.

I know people are not obligated to follow someone or a commander, but people should realise that if we take stuff, everything ia more easy for them. The jumping puzzle, exploring or whatever they want to do.

How can you fix thia problem? How can you ‘unite’ people in an usefull group which can make a striking fist instead of some tiny little pokes?

To prevent stuff like ‘just be friendly’, I’m friendly. Politely asking people to join us in besieging a bigger structer and throwing in some humor.

What do you guys think? Is bad grouping the problem or ia it something else?

PS: english is not my firat language, so don’t be mad if I made a mistake.

It may just be a reputation “problem” — you might not be well-known enough to gather people up via map or team chat.

A couple months ago, I wouldn’t be able to muster any sort of forces. Last night when I needed 3-4 volunteers to come with me to a whole different map to recapture and hold points, I managed to get 7 responses real fast.

The only thing I’ve done since those months ago was in being more vocal in communicating with commanders when I’m running smaller objectives while the zerg does zergy things. Building a reputation as a productive, objective small group lends you influence amongst the regulars even if you don’t pay 100G for a commander icon.

Some guild out there really prefer small group action. Some guild groups openly tell me that they refuse to run with our zerg. They like their 4-5 men party to raid camps and ambush ppl. That’s alright in my view since camps still worth points.

What pis me off is when 10+ guys tries to kill the giant grub or that spirit tree thing. OMFG RAGE!!!

And when someone report to me that 10+ guys are trying to do the JP. OMFG RAGE!!!

If you guys run consistently and are a serious 5 man team, we are gathering 5 man guilds for our tier. To end the “zerg only” open pvp atmosphere. Send me if you are interested in fighting other 5 mans nightly.
