Darkhaven is doing well on reset night? what’s going on?

SF and DH great showing’s on reset night, been taking some lump’s and holding line’s all night long for our very little piece of the pie! It’s 3:30am EST here and im turning it in, were just now starting to make some headway lol. I want to thank and throw a shout-out to the SF guild down at golanta, im sorry your name escapes me ([KSA] maybe?. They had me dead to right’s 5v1 as i was attempting to hide outside of jerrifer, hoping dh capped and i could finally get my world completion! (no love). I pointed in the direction of jerrifer, they approached, invited me, and were cool guys. Told em what i was doing, and they let me be on my way. Course 3 DH got me 5 mins later, i will get u 1 day world completion! GG’s tonight.

Had a good time holding down the fort in DH BL tonight. Saw a lot of [Seed] out there, though we did expect more of you to come knocking. Also, I’m pretty sure Siegerazor is a hacker. Please help me report him so Anet can ban his account asap.

Haha our group of 5 SF inside hills had no intention of holding it so we didn’t care at all what was going on. We just had a blast farming badges. I also want to thank you stark for jumping on murder bridge and then letting me turn into a dolyak on your corpse, it truly made my night after what you did to my poor little body earlier. Anyways was some of the most fun I’ve had in WvW in forever thanks DH and IoJ.

As a side note…grim came over the hill to see a Spartacus moment from Swinder taking on 5 people …..fun stuff!

Well,the dark haven reset was better thanks to myro,fallyse and some other key players in conjunction with the wide use of team speak . But was still only 40% of what I think we are capable of.

One thing I’m seeing from sorrows furnace is what happened when we faced bp and ar….we were on a high from winning for weeks then got our teeth kicked in a couple weeks and all of our fair weather players bailed.

I just hope they can pull it together because I really enjoy this matchup.

We have to keep this pace (possible but unlikely) AND EBay has to continue at their pace over BP/AR (similarly unlikely). It could happen. I’d guess that nobody’s cracking the t5 barrier for a couple more weeks yet, though.

Well, what happened is that IoJ wasn’t really attacking us in our BL, and SF and IoJ were fighting eachother in IoJ BL. Because of that, we had a lot more breathing room to get supply/upgrades and handle SF better (I was in DH bl). Everyone on our map was also working really well together and our response times were the best I’ve seen from us in a while.

There could also have been less people on from SF after losing a couple weeks, but I have no idea what the numbers were like in the other maps.

What I believe happened is that when we got the T8 boost a lot of PvER’s jump on board and we just steamrolled through T7. We hit T6 and met you guys and “got our teeth kicked in.” The PvER’s and the PvPER’s just jumped ship for good as rolling through towers was no longer easy.

Part 2: Which I’m going to speak bluntly here, there were/are a few WvW guilds who decided it was time to take a “break” from WvW for a “week.” This could not have been a worse time for that to happen. Why not take a break when we owned everything in T7 and did not need all hands on deck?

I think some guilds just copped out; plain and simple. (nor have many of them shown since the “week break” 3 weeks ago)

I believe our server is still lacking the core WvW players/guilds it needs to achieve and be successful in the next tiers. Anyways good job DH an IoJ you guys rock!

Sad to see SF’s fairweathers stop playing so quickly :\

Though i do hope our fairweathers will start picking up and we can actually contest with dh in the weeks to come

But the week is yet to start, reset weekends rarely predict the weeks matchup

Some awesome battles tonight. Im quite proud of Darkhaven in our organization and deployment of fields and finishers. a couple times tonight we ran in to take a tower and the tower boss was surrounded by a ton of SF and we were able to make it work.

Also whats the scoop with that “asura theify” toon? I get this funny feeling that its my best friend coming to say Howdy…i could be wrong though!

The clan Gore Defend and held all night protecting particularly the castles. Good night and good fights. in EB we entrench ourselves for 2 hours in the keep.

I think we got a good job.

We need more people for the night and make it more fun.

Great 5 hour campaign for SM. Took SF and IOJ to crack that nut.

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard!

Btw we didnt crack anything of SM, it was mostly SF, We broke outter wall, got in, South gate was at literally about 50% already and no DH were around, 4 rams, broke down super fast, rushed into lords room and no one was there! Only aout 10 dh showed up about the time lord fell and was easy cap by then, had a good long laugh about that. It was your own negligence that let SM fall so easily there DH

To the 3 d/d eles (I think you were all d/d anyway) I fought up at the Anz vista just now, that was a lot fun :P Felt like it took years to finish tho haha

Nope, it took the combined pressure of both servers for an extended period of time.

SF hit our corner a few times which stalled us, but we recovered fast enough to go back to what we were doing.

Not to mention said opening in SM wouldn’t have happened if they weren’t busy overextending vs. SF. So yes, it took both servers.

edit as annoying as 10-20 occasionally going for a cherry pick was…it didn’t last long, and I could tell the overall focus of SF was to work on the castle while we were. So props to those that did.

I think the guard from my side may have been rezzed, but I actually WP’d and ran back. That’s what happens when your dps depends on retaliation and block/burn. I had to change tactics for round 2 and focus on dropping your own reinforcements before hitting you again. It was a fun fight, for sure, but I don’t think I’d enjoy taking you 1v1. You’d either smash me or it would go for twenty minutes.

I find it sad that WvW is the only content thats worth doing anymore x.x

yeah, Zel. I agree with you. the PvE end game Pooped the sheets, the meta game is garbage, itemization and customization is bleh at best. and the wvw is middle of the road.

I find that friends and the wvw ranking are the only thing keeping me around.

well….that and my signet warrior…lol

Shout out to GRIM, PD, and INC for their great work and defenses today in SF BL! It’s great to know there’s a group to hold the fort down.

Today was the first day I really did some commandeering in EB for IoJ. It was kinda of a shock how hard it is for new commanders to pull people together, but once you get them then it really fun! After fighting one of the better lead DH zergs I found it really comes down to how well your zerg follows orders and reads into your plan. Some times I felt out-manned and outwitted by DH and there huge roaming zerg in EB.

Oh well, that will not keep me out and each day I learn new tricks and get better at keeping the zerg under control especially in the dredge section! Hope to see you later on the battle field!

Oh SF, we love having you in this tier! Not often you get the commander to also turn into a hoofed animal and join you!
