New year’s eve and next day hangover capping for the win
So Elona’s ( comparatively ) small off hours presence may be an advantage this one time, everyone will be sleeping off the booze at the same time and be done with it while Vizunah and SFR will suffer all day
PS: Spent like an hour in the queue, couldn’t get in.
An advice to Elona: although turtles are cool, there isn’t much point in doing it in T1, Feedback from mesmers will crush it (and VS uses a lot of Feedbacks).
Been having an absolute blast this reset. Fights to be had around every corner and over every hill. And the ever-present fear of the VS zerg(s) rumbling through the gates when trying to capture something makes it all pretty entertaining.
Also want to throw out a little /salute to the two Thiefs I did a bit of Sword/Dagger-build testing against, below Garrison (I can’t for the life of me remember the server name above their heads). Really good sportsmanship, saluting and bowing after I eventually got slaughtered. Whoever you were, you’re the type of players I love to encounter, and have the utmost respect for. Helped me fine tune a new build too, so cheers to you two!
Had a lot of fun tonight in Elona BL while defending Bay (we had bay which was on Vizunahs side). Had 3 outer walls down, 2 in the south where Vizunah came from and 1 in the north where Elona came from.
Elona put up 2-5 trebs x3 times on the inner north plateau (we went up and destroyed them each time after we wiped them in lords room). And Vizunah put up up to 4 trebs in the south outer to fire on inner. In the end both walls and the gate at inner was down and we kept being bombarded by trebs from all directions and we went back and forth and wiped enemy zergs. A lot of fun and stressful! Eventually a huge Vizunah blob overran us though after Elona had given up.
Wow no Flame?! that is awesome! I have so much fun in Tier1 It’s all pretty even at primetime… just the night could suck…. let’s see. It is really close and very nice, Vizunah! You know how to roam with just like 50 people at night and get 70% of the map! I have a blast

You have really equal numbers on teamspeak like us on Elona and that is really not much… but we both have both one simple strategy (at least at satuday-sunday night). Gather the whole server and leave a few scouts on each bl… that’s it.

Not really, we don’t care if they are from NA, they’re still part of your community. You may not think that, but no one cares about what you think anyway.
No respect for nightcapping and pvd.If you think youre in t1 coz of skill think again.Anyway we wiped big french zergs with small number and I am happy with that.Also had the lead for few minutes on score even though we were outmanned.
During the day the fights are pretty balanced not mentioning you are always more then us.Its kinda hard to wake up in the morning to see everything capped and fortified though we still manage to take everything back.

General consensus amongst sfr players vs the vizblob is they are terrible, but an invisible 50 man blob of terribles will run over you if you can’t see it coming.

I am from SFR and this is the most fun tier I have been into yet but there is so much drama it’s unbelievable. You say you need sleep but when you conquer the entire map when you have 100k lead it doesn’t show you really want to sleep. It makes us actually question the fact that you have only french or not fighting at that hour.
Either way I’ve encountered you might War Legion and even tho they fight I’ve wiped them more then I ever died in WvW and yes once (if) anet fixed culling you will see how strong SFR is going to be because we fight head on 98% of the time we hardly ever portal bomb (atleast the fights I am in).
I know alot of ppl hate Americans but really they are nice and part of our community and we will defend them whether they will stay or not. I’ve run with them as a pug and they are really friendly and helpfull.
SFR may complain alot but we lack the dedicated nightforce (as we tend to lay it on we all have a life while ppl are online 16+ hours sometimes). Either way we need to learn and you are helping us.
Let’s all have fun and play. I really enjoy fighting all of you specially now that Elona is actually fighting the french in opposite to BT who only was attacking us. Score is really tight at the moment and I hope it stays like this for weeks to come!
no one hates the americans! i am sure they are as friendly or not as we are. everything we are complaining about is the fact that their primetime is when we use to go to sleep!

Its really funny that VZ and now ER are claiming the rightfull owners of Nightime, and cry about americans when PRX are fighting on 1:4 odds in terms of numbers during the night.
Ah may I also say the match would be closer if VZ and ER actually attacked each other positions, have you guys decided on who is going to be 1st already? Or you will attack each other on friday to settle that? :p

Now the ‘not fair’ brigade that moan about night capping by a few americans from SFR (which at best keeps the score ticking) have a huge advantage in server population.
They moan about ‘but we cannot sleep’ – which is a very mute point anyway, as if you look at past match histories these same people were night capping from day one when there was no american presence (500+ ticks @ 5am).
You have numbers all the time – stop whining about a few people that help to balance out the matches – or are you afraid of a fair fight? The majority of today SFR had outmanned in all but EB, we could moan about imbalanced populations between servers and call out ‘its not fair blah, blah,blah’.

We all signed it: all the commanders, the guilds and the pugs as well. I send you a copy if needed. As I reread it now, it also says that VZ and ER are the rightfull owners of nightcapping – how did you now that..?
On a more serious note: still a blast, close and thrilling, this T1 simply rocks.
Come off it reading the absolute rubbish written on here about PRX… I am based in the UK and often play in the middle of the night… there are times when I see VS zergs of 30-40 ppl at 2am and there is me and 3 other people representing the entire of SFR on one particular corner of the map. PRX only have enough numbers to defend one section of the map and every single morning I wake up to see that VS have taken over almost the entire map.
SFR are playing at a serious numbers disadvantage. It is only a medium populated server fighting against two high populated servers.
The truth of the matter is that VS have numbers but there are only one or two individual skilled players. Which is why SFR are able to beat VS zergs almost twice their size. It is when those zergs becomes 3-4 times and even 10 times the size of the SFR defenders that they take over. I have seen some VS players fall from full health at a single hit… which just beggars belief. But in the end sheer numbers just take over. Unless SFR can recruit more people to the server then they are going to drop a tier. Before SFR could dominate at peak times between 7pm-11pm but Elona are able to beat them at the numbers game during those times and SFR are fighting on the back foot all the time now… seriously outnumbered.

a huge part of elonas population plays PvE only.
Our WvW-playing part is incredibly small, we are only t1 atm cuz of holidays, sadly.
Did I miss something or was there something special in Bay on SFR BL? Anyway, had great fights there, still ongoing. Sadly I had to go. Nice sneak attack (or was it a mesmer?) by Vizunah, you had us there (almost?, can’t remember ’cause Bay changed colors every fifteen minutes the last three hours or so).
