What if the CS (falling) bug was not a bug...
I would live at hills to suicide bomb any upscale that I see.

Yo mama jokes to stronk.
Forum Mods to weak.
Mesmers were holding off zergs from taking towers. It’s already been fixed. Let’s move on.

Obviously with proper damage, not abused damage the actual bug made possible!

This thread is not to argue the bug that happened in the Oct. 15th patch regarding Mesmer Chaos Storm falling damage, but to discuss if a mechanic based on falling, would be a good addition to the overall WvW Meta!

And he answered it. One person was holding off an entire zerg from taking towers. In simple terms: No.

His answer was actually a reference to a bug that made possible a huge increase in the DPS of the skill in which added a funny yet unfair advantage to the game. Are you telling me that a increase in 10-20% in the effectiveness of falling skills to all classes would be that OP that would create such advantages?
Going on the assumption that the damage was lowered to not make it OP;
I could see where rams would be almost useless, unless the damage was to players only.
It would deter the use of catas and ACs at the base of a wall.
It would re-introduce a term to WvW that was first used in GW1: Necro Bomber.
suddenly any kind of sieg is not used anymore..except for trebs :o
[Teef] guild :>
just wondering, never played gw1; what’s a necro bomb?

Would a 10-20% increase be so much powerful that would make AC and RAMS obsolete?

I Don’t make a clue! Never played it either.

look at the wall, current state of sieg + wall meta
do you really think that any sieg outside of treb would be viable if mesmer bombs were a game feature?

Necro Bomber was a build that would be used by a player to cap a quarry in the GW1 competitive mission Jade Quarry.

The difference (+10-20% increase) would be so small, that i honestly don’t believe that causes an impact to the process in how structures are breached. In a good day a skill like CS does 2,5k damage, so 3k damage would be OP? Would it be that good that players will jump without a second thought (to their probable death)?
Btw, i was nor referring to the Mesmer CS skill. There is one falling damage reducing skill for every class.
teheeeheehee necro bomber ….
those were fun times.
essentially spec yourself out to do maximum damage with health sacrificing skills, turning yourself in to a bomb, and then run up to a group and sacrifice yourself. the end result is you suicide and take them all with you.
not a good idea to buff the halves falling damage traits, though i would like to see ele’s normalized to the first tier like every other class.
