I’ve seen it mentioned a few times, mostly in WvW. Google searches comes up with either i) an iPhone app to chat with your kitten, or ii) A light command-line chat server within Telnet and SSH servers.

Can someone enlighten what it is, and how it is used?

It’s a special chat mode for Charr only.

You need to type /meow to activate it, then you can talk in that channel.

Is this for real?

Because I’m gonna try it now and if this isn’t for real I’m going to be disappointed…

Edit: I tried it, no such thing, now I am disappoint >8[

I think SkyFallsInThunder forgot to mention that you have to be in the secret cat cave to activate it.

“Kitty Chat” is used in Dragonbrand’s teamspeak as a way for commanders to communicate to each other within map along the lines of “Commander Chat” (or CC) where commanders can communicate cross map. Commanders with the permission can bind a key to “Kitty Chat” (like with “CC”) and anyone who’s a commander that’s been given Kitty Chat permissions will be able to hear your intel.
