Q:
All the Keep “Lords” and Tower “Lords” are females. Why are they called Lords rather then Ladies?
Indeed. It’s a serious issue and I demand investigation.
For how long WvW can be in such unpolished state? It’s unacceptable.
Champion Tower Person!
well they did just change “outmanned” so this is prob very high on their priority list

I know, clearly a sign of a lack of planning. Female Lords. Next there will be Quaggon Guards.
Transvestites to a man. I blame the public school system.
Maybe they WANTED to be “Lords”. Ever thought of that?
Except during this time period such thoughts were punished by burning alive.
Honestly, I don’t understand what anet’s thinking. They need to get their kitten together. It’s a game breaking issue we’re talking about.
Obviously, a gender neutral term is necessary for Keep Lords. I propose we mix the words Lady and Lord together and call them Keep Lards.
But on a serious note, I checked several dictionaries and found that the word “Lord” actually is gender neutral. Here’s a definition from Merriam-Webster: one having power and authority over others."

No doubt! Expect this issue to be fixed in 5-6 months.

This is a bit short notice for them, remember!? They first have to nerf all the classes(thieves twice, even thrice please) to balance out the renaming of the claimer.
Give them their space! They’re trying, so hard.
On a more serious note, a way to make WvW seem tremendously more “living”, and I don’t see why this hasn’t made it into release, is to simply give the lords multiple skins and possibly skillsets, maybe even make them named NPCs.

Love this idea. I could totally get into anthropomorphizing Keep Lords into my favorite characters.

I like this idea, and they can have fun with this as well. Give the towers closest to spawn points some wimpy names “Glassjaw, Count of Greenbriar”
Then the SMC can be “Optimus, Supreme Lord of Stonemist”.
Giving them actual names? Honestly that might be the best suggestion yet!

Strike up the cries of, “it doesn’t matter!” or “Actually the male term covers everyone!” that happen every time someone points out or questions the male as default phenomenon.
Right on cue.
Champion Tower Person!
I feel this may offend all the furries, transspecies and the like.
Maybe “Champion Tower It” or “Champion Tower Something With Just as many Rights as You” would be more advisable.

Thread made! Spam it so its noticed :P
The far greater problem is that they’re all bookahs.

LOL but true, its why we are all outnumbered now -.-

Normally I’d agree with you, but in this case the term is in fact gender neutral. For example, one of Elizabeth IIs titles is Lord of Mann.

You probably don’t care as much about Song Dynasty poetry as I do. Same applies in reverse to this matter.

Yes but half the population aren’t Song Dynasty poets. :P

I don’t think that makes it gender neutral since the monarchy was one of the earliest established boys clubs.
A man or a woman can be a Lord.
You are right that monarchies were hardly a gender neutral institution but in the rare case that a woman held the appropriate title, she would be a Lord.
