TC has also gotten a massive EU guild in that outnumber every thing on BG so right now we do not have the advantage.
Which guild did TC get? At the moment, HB which resides on BG is the largest EU guild that I know of on NA servers ? If an EU guild that is larger than HB just transferred to TC, I think there would be more buzz about it. So far, I have not heard anything. Please let me know which guild it is or I am assuming you are making it up. It is just very difficult to believe what BG says about EU coverage, since not to long ago, BG claimed that SOR outnumbers BG in EU even though IRON and a few other guilds have transferred off already. It just seems like we hear BG say every server they face outnumbers them in EU.
TC gained Helioz from SoR. Hel has mostly NA’s, but also a good amount of euro’s and NA’s who run at EU timezone. Think Hel puts out about 15~20 people daily during EU.

What alternatives has BG tried to get around the DDoS’ing? Besides constantly getting DDoSed and then telling people “We’re sucking because we cant use our TS”. I know it sucks, but if its happening 24/7, it’s not going to magically stop, so you’ll have to adapt. Have you tried changing server host, or even swapping from using TS to Mumble? I know TC’s mumble has been DDoSed, but it rarely fully goes down. Has the guild/person responsible for maintaining the BG community TS spoken with their server host? (Assuming its hosted by a company and not an individuals server box). I could be too that BG’s TS being DDoSed has nothing to do with GW2, but that it’s just being targetted for being a large TS (a possibility), that or some scummy player is just being a really annoying troll. Either way, I hope BG gets it all resolved soon!

All of the above and more. You might actually be surprised by the amount of effort that has already been put forth by several individuals to come up with a solution. Unfortunately, due to the nature of this particular situation, it’s not easy.

Put it this way. We’re unable to purchase DDoS protection at this current time (while we’re still under DDoS attack) due to how much data protection it involves and how much the cost it would be (I heard up to several thousand dollars a month, tens of thousands a year). So yeah, our admins have tried everything and more, and it’s gotten to the point where BG’s guilds can’t give out their TS due to fear of DDoS as well, since every time we put out some kind of TS address to the public (map chat or otherwise), it gets taken down.

Meh, I wish you guys could find a cheap way around this. It sucks. I seriously do not have any idea who’d hate a server so much that they’d dedicate this much time trying to disrupt it. I mean, we’ve been mortal enemies for over a year, and even I wouldn’t wish this on you :P Yet, BG is still a strong server and I’m sure you guys will find a way past this. Does it still happen if you’re using enjin-based TS? I’m sure you’ve already considered this, but just tossing it out there.

Yes the TS is DDOS’ed pretty much within 24 hours of us trying to put it back up and active no matter what we try. We have a team of people been working on it for literally a month now, countless hours. So yeah that hurt us a tick.
But also just not having as many WVW guilds play on BG anymore is affecting us as well. I can give you a few examples of guilds that were here for S1 that you wont see on the field in S2…..(KING, MERC,SUPR, EK,COIN, ZD’s, Zero,PLX, and a lot of guilds that lost members or that dont play as much anymore like Omen,Thai, Urge.) So thats affecting us now as well.
Not asking or looking for any sympathy or or praise here, just be aware that those WVW guilds are no longer around in any kind of force on BG. So we may go to T2 I dont know, wherever we go we will have fun and fight. Cheers guys!
