Unfortunately there’s not a whole lot of assistance or training available to our commanders these days. I’d considered it briefly on my warr, but the level of hostility I saw the last few times I hopped into eb was really disheartening. Even the occasional suggestions were vitriol bombs, and that makes me super sad because we’re definitely better than that.
Where we are now, population-wise, we can’t count on ace commanders floating us all up the tiers on a cloud of bootstraps or whatever. It’s going to take a team-wide effort, and a little bit of understanding while our doritos grow into their roles. It’s going to be a hard upward slog, and we’re going to get thumped more often than not for a while until we rebuild our core and confidence, but I have absolute faith in our server to pick ourselves up again.
You guys can field some good teams.. and even then you have some great solo roamers. I’ve been wrecked by more than one KNG that wasn’t in a zerg.
ET faced the same kinda problem.. despite our best efforts we could not beat DH or SF… but kitten we tried. It comes down to a point where… you’re gonna lose… but have some pride in your server in take the loss in the face..on your face

People on your server make your choices for you. Who you like.. the commander you like following with a great attitude despite losses.
If you wanna be in a server that has a win first metality… then yeah.. T1 is for you.
DO NOT LEAVE KAINENG! It is far from dead. I know there are guilds that will stage huge raids during your play time that you mentioned. I am in one of them. We are never defeated, only set back from achieving our goal! Having recently acquired a commander tag, I am now trying to get my main guild (RaW) backbiting wvw, and in the mean time in running with a small wvw guild. Join TS3, heck, I’ll even invite you to raw myself so you have someone to run with (me!). Kaifeng is not dead, we just play differently, like et members have said. I myself have led a treb siege of full fortified bay with only 12 people, and held a tower because of proper siege placement! It is not a matter of commanders (though that would be helpful for our pugs and is why I got a cmd tag), it is aster of having skilled players. Don’t leave, keep fighting with me and the few standing men.
Anyone who knows about kaineng obviously knows who I am, the incredible Mooncow. I left this server for one simple reason wvw isnt fun there anymore. Out would take 10 + minutes to find any kind of a decent fight or in the case of borderlands any fight at all. I had huge server pride too having been on kaineng wvw since the day the game came out, but when it came down to it server pride didn’t mean anything if I wasn’t getting to enjoy wvw especially with, and I think this is what really put me over the line, the deleting of the wvw match up forum. What is the point of server pride if I can’t talk kitten and make fun of how bad other servers are? So I left. And it’s great.
TLDR: the hero of Kaineng is gone because it wasn’t fun.

You can always buy another Account, one you play on a t2/1 server for constant wvw action, and the one you currently use.
Also, “less people than normal” it’s maybe because of the new LS update.
Thanks for the responses. They are helpful. I have decided I will logon when I want to play and if I don’t even see any commanders (This happens more than you think at 9:30PM CST which is many times when I can get on during the week because of kids.) then I can just logoff and do somethine else. PvE just doesn’t entertain me much.
I am a zerg kind of guy and like to play as a team. I can tell you that weekends have always been good times.

If money is the only issue I can tell you how to get free transfers. First of all buy as many sPvP tomes that level you up as possible and hopefully get a scroll that makes you level 20. Salvage and sell all soul bound items. Put rest of items in bank or sell if bank is full. And then delete all your characters.
An account without any characters can transfer freely to any server they wish but only once every 7 days. Remake a character on your new server, and use scrolls and the money you made Fromm selling to level up.
People think transferring cost a lot but really Anet will let you get a fresh start whenever you want. There is no reason you should suffer in your server simply think of this as a fresh start for free instead of buying a second account or paying for a transfer.
