Hello, I’m on Gates of Madness where at most (On weekends from 10am-11est~, or Weekdays 3EST-11:30EST) we only have maybe 30-40 on the map tops. (EB, Or any borderlands period. Sometimes 20-25)

Was looking to transfer to a more… active WvW server? I don’t enjoy roaming much, so blob fights are not an issue. However, I wouldn’t enjoy a -long- queue to play.

T2, YB for easy wins, SoS and FA if you want to get better.

Queues are a myth of 1 year ago or so, they don’t happen anymore except on reset night when maybe there is a queue of ~20 people on the maps. If you want zerg fights 24/7, come to T1. BG is top dog, and neither JQ nor TC seem strong enough on their own to take them, so depending on what you want, go to either of the 3, but better to JQ or TC.

T1 is for blobfests where you lag out of existence. It’s also where bored players/guilds go to die. They want something better, more active, so they go T1. They realize it’s the same as where they came from, and quit game.

My advice, go/stay where your friends are. FA’s had a drive recently to bring back ex-FAers back to their home (FA) to play with old friends, and it’s been very successful because people know that while the game mode is/will be stale, playing with friends never is.

Got no friends? Get more involved with your current server’s community. Most servers have a tight-knit community at its core. Playing with people you know changes the dynamic of playing GW2.

P.S. drinking game: drink every time you see the word “community” on the WvW forums, both official and PvF forums.

Is Yak’s bend on T2 always in first place, or is there at least a little competition?

@T1 – 20 person ques dont seem horrible- same question though, can JQ/SoS even possibly win vs BG, or is there a decent amount of competitive play?

@Community- the GoM community of wvw did try to get involved in things but sorta just resulted in arguments on what guilds doing what wrong, and I don’t really consider anyone here my “friend” besides my girlfriend whom lives nearby anyways, so peace? =p

TC could potentially win vs BG right now, but JQ can’t due to lack of decent sized NA guilds and leadership.

Queues are a relic of the past in T1. This Halloween reset saw only 2 queued maps for BG, same for TC, not sure for JQ. If you’re after the big 30-40 man zergs (sometimes more) fighting each other, then come on over. Just be prepared for how quiet it is outside of prime times. Especially EU-NA and NA-OCX gaps lack significant populations. Once it hits prime though, the populations pick up and the action picks up dramatically.

TC has a few guilds raiding during your prime time. BG has a couple. Not sure for JQ. Would steer you towards JQ as they are in need of NA players right now

Okay. Sounds cool. I had received a few guild offers from TC in pms already, considering there or JQ the next time I get money.
