WvW Tourney and Customer Support
When it comes down to it, if I don’t receive my chest and tickets my Tuesday morning, I’m submitting a ticket to support, whether or not its recommended.
I’ve had friends get the achievement chest and tickets before the tournament was even over, but I kept calm and tight lipped about it. But I can only remain calm and cool for so long before I grab my torch and pitchfork.
For me too:
wrong place is shown, no chest.
They can’t communicate what they don’t know themselves.
I am sure they will add an option in the cash shop “For 800 gems u can unbug the chest u should have received for free!!! Limited time offer!”
Well still no chest. completed the meta during the first week :P.

Same here, GoM got 1st place and still no chest on Tuesday. Guess we really have to start getting worried now.

I’ve started to put this link in game chat as i play, as I’m an admin for my guild (ACT on Vabbi), it goes in the message of the day.
I can appreciate this ‘may’ be resolved over time, but what i think a lot of us want along with a resolution to this is support sitting in here saying, “hey, i know it’s been a few days, but were still trying to figure out what happened and we’re still working on it, you haven’t been forgotten and we value your custom.”
instead of going yeah, we’re working on it, it effects me too, sucks doesn’t it……..insert noise of tumble weed here.

I’m gonna add myself to the pile of ‘no-chesters’… Jade Quarry, I finished the meta about mid way through the tourney, got the achievement about a week early (and it’s right), but no chest. Also I transferred, but way before it started.
I’m happy to wait while they sort out the issue, but an update might be nice
No rewards for me too. As someone who played hard to get her server to No1 I am very disappointed.
Everything looks fine in Hero’s panel, I have not changed the server, just NO rewards for WvW Spring Tournament 2014.
Same with most here, I didn’t get my chest. My server placement is correct, my associated world is correct (never changed servers) yet didn’t get the chest. One thing I can mention, I got the meta in the first week. I’ve read through most of the posts before posting and many who didn’t receive theirs yet seem to have finish the meta early, like 1st to 2nd week. I did do all the achievements but that took weeks later since I didnt hop into EoTM the do the rest till later into season.
I dont care too much about not getting the chest BUT I do care about things working. Why can’t they seem to get kitten to work without bugging? I am sure there are tons more people who dont visit the forums or go to reddit who are in this same situation so the actual numbers could be much bigger. Like many said, this is the 2nd tournament, things shouldnt be bugging out with rewards the same way the 1st season went and they had 9 weeks to make sure everything works as intended.

I didn’t get my chest. My achievement for 2nd place is correct, 10/10 meta done a long time ago. I only skipped out on the jumping puzzle ones. Not sure what other info I can give that will help.

My nick Samantha Wraith, still got no chest, meta did at the start of tournament, Gandara silver first place, got achivement, didnt receive any chest from it, I’m still waiting… please fix it, bcs lots of people get their rewards and lots still waiting for theirs

That would not be practical, imagine a person manually sending out mails….at that rate, we will get our rewards by end of Season 20 of WvWvW…
Instead, I can almost guarantee you, they will end up re-sending out all Spring tournament rewards and some people will end up with 2 chests….
Not only that, there are players who were not part of a server that came first but still got awarded the 1st place reward chest. I highly doubt Anet will take away their rewards at this time. Also when 3rd rolls around those players will quickly trade in those tickets and unlock the mist-forged skins making it nearly impossible to take rewards back from them.
This clearly demonstrates the level of intelligence and planning that went into writing the code behind these rewards.
I completed the meta and all the wvw achievements and like so many others I did not receive my chest. I have never transferred servers. I hope someone from Anet will respond soon to let us know when we might get the rewards.

Just adding my name to the list, I suppose. Came in first on HoD (meta finished) & been on HoD since pre-launch. Still no chest, but here’s hoping that by tomorrow I’ll have it!

yea any kind of update would be good so we know that something is being done at least with all the stuff coming up about people from season 1 not getting anything got more people thinking there not gonna get anything

Thanks for looking into it. While there is no concrete information, atleast we know they are still working, and have not forgotten us.
the npc will be realesed tomorrow. i was hoping to get my tickets trough a patch on tuesda but it seems like we’ll have to wait 1-2 more weeks till we get the tickets we earned

This is kinda embarrassing honestly. Not only did we not get our rewards for a few days now, but we also didn’t get a news related to the winners and so on.
Honestly ANet….what happened to your quality standards. U keep delivering content like this for months now….be it pve or wvw. U guys should seriously start asking yourself some core questions because right now this is not a AAA game…maybe it was in the first year..but now absolutely not.
What makes an mmo keep the AAA title after launch are 3 things:
- Content provided (only temporary = none and a few changes here and there are called improvements not content)
- Quality of the content provided (all content even temporary had not small bugs which everyone can understand..but major bugs. Above all that it takes ages to fix)
- Customer Support (which ties to the second point in a way…).
U guys honestly transformed this game (considering the lack of content overall, repetitiveness of already existing content and overall gravity of bugs) into a B game at best. And considering this has been a repetitive trend in what u have been doing, my trust in your capability of delivering decent (not good…decent) content is rapidly falling. I can’t even imagine how many things will go wrong with S2 LS.
Now don’t get me wrong i am sure u will fix this….but it already took to much time AND this has been happening for some time now (not just for this specific wvw stuff, talking in general). That’s just unacceptable for the game it was advertised to be….and u can’t expect ppl to just eat cr** each time u make huge mistakes like this and make them think “oh let’s give them another chance…oh i am sure they will fix…oh i am sure the next thing will be better” because honestly each time we said that it hasn’t been…on the contrary it got worst.
Just take the LS scarlet ending…we accepted the 2 month break for u guys to make a biblical ending…..but the bugs that were there and the broken down/improvised systems made the whole “epic” part of the event be nonexistent….and we accepted 2 months! In which u deliberately said u wanted to give us an almost perfect polish for the final event….and look at what that got us.
The fact that ppl are ignorant or are to optimistic does not hide facts. You can’t lower your standard to a level where u think “don’t worry they can wait a bit longer because they either don’t care or they can wait till we finish”. That is a terrible business model.

So, should we be submitting a ticket now? I thought earlier in thread we were told not to? Because both my boyfriend and I, as well as many members of our guild who similarly completed their meta, haven’t seen our S2 chest and we’ve been putting off contacting support.
I don’t see them wasting too much more time and resource on this. Maybe will end up like the S1 rewards.

So we now have to submit a ticket to get a 7 weeks reward? Submitting a ticket takes 10-15 minutes of my time? and my time costs money in my books…What will you do in return to pay for my lost time? Usually customers get a refund when they are sold the false products with misleading advertisement…
….but after all, this is a WvW issue and we all know where that falls in ANet’s priority list. My guess is that if you haven’t got the chest by now then don’t count on it. Move on and let this be another failed attempt at WvW. Some day that bone is gonna taste really dry if it already hasn’t….WvW players deserve better than this….
Symptoms look like they modified database entries during the megaserver patches, affecting the server lists/table id’s and some of their server calculations. A big problem if ongoing content was relying on those entries being consistent, which it was = minor database corruption.
Means anybody who finished before the megaserver update has a much higher chance of having the achievement/placing bug. Then there’s the other bugs with detecting chest receipt, which sounds like a validation routine tied to the server.
Might be total luck any early finishers got the correct achievement, or a chest.
It could take a few days to write a fix, assuming their programmer is in house, familiar with all the updates, and properly motivated Then another day to test. IF they plan to code a fix and already started on it, I suspect it will be transparently applied to ‘clean things up’ on their end within the next 3 days. Otherwise they will start requesting more tickets.

Megaservers: ruining everything since day one. I did finish before megaserver introduction. Thanks anet! All I wanted was my tickets, and somehow, you found a way to screw that up.

News about the WvsW awards?
They have none, which the dev posted about one page ago.
One day before the vendor spawns and they’re starting to “look into it.” Yeah, heard that one before. And before, and before, and before. So tomorrow we all get to look forward to people running around with their shiny new mistforged weapons while we patiently wait for a fix with no ETA, and of course no additional compensation for the missing rewards during the time we wait (yeah, I had the daily reset bug, that was a lot of fun). Those mistforged weapons, if you think about it, are now worth as much if not more than a precursor or legendary if they were able to be sold/traded on the TP, because there is only one way to get them: earning them and receiving the reward tickets to purchase them we were promised and rightfully deserve.
Day 1 of my gem store boycott. You can take your hacked-together minis of pre-existing mobs/characters, your fuzzy hats, and all the rest of your pathetic attempts to pull cash out of us and shove it. If I can’t even earn and receive a reward properly, I’m sure as hell not going to pay money for one.
The reality boils down to this: we are all in a paid beta test, where they continue adding items to their cash shop while routinely breaking/nerfing/removing legitimate ingame ways of earning those items. Odds on them fixing an issue with the gem store not working or not being able to purchase an item within minutes or hours of a single report? I wouldn’t bet against that.
You should feel ashamed of yourselves. Your lack of community communication and interaction, lack of ingame GMs to help with immediate problems, lack of decent timetables on implementation of fixes and improvements, lack of transparency, lack of polished and well-tested content, lack of properly compensating people that have suffered ingame due to your failings (just a “hey, you know what, we’re really sorry about this problem that occurred due to a bug with something we did, here’s a karma booster” would go a long, long way towards ushering goodwill), lack of tact, lack of fulfilling promises made long ago — yes, you see where I’m going here. What I find, I find lacking.
Eternity, considered the pinnacle of Legendary weapons in the game due its requirement of combining two other Legendaries, was broken on day 1. It was fixed two years later.
Drown in your shame.
