WvW: Weekly rewards outside tournaments
1) there are better boni for higher scoring during the Week
2) first get 3 bonus WEXP-chest, second 2, last 1 bonus chest at the first WEXP-lvlups of the next match.
3) there should not be more, we have already enough people transferring to the winning team.
4) only very few matches really earn a reward, most are just imbalanced man power/coverage

That’s true. But is this a motivation for you? “Oh guys, let’s do some WvW this evening, so we have that extra percent magic find tomorrow”?

Wow. I honestly didn’t know that. When I received more than two chests I always thought I had missed a level up. Then maybe it’s not about the reward itself, but about the way it’s presented. As said before: I didn’t even know that there is a reward, so a bit more confetti would be nice.
You don’t get more than 2 per lvlup.
You get 3 times 2, 2 times 2 or 1 times 2, instead of the normal 1 lvlup chest.
The WEXP-page on the WvW-dialog tells you how many bonus chests you earned and haven’t received so far.
The ’transferring to the winning team’ is a valid concern. The solution would be to simply raise the reward for active WvW participation;
- Increase player kill loot.
- Increase badges of honor use or add a new badge type with a more controlled gain/reward ratio.
- Non-EotM WvW event completion reward increases in terms of silver or new currencies.
- Return of dolyak defense rewards.
- Return of orbs with different rewards affecting loot instead of combat stats.
- Adding some sort of reward for scouting/siege refresh/upgrading.
- Bump up the rank up chest rewards.
And the list goes on.
To balance it out, reduce EotM rewards, that map gives too much stuff for too little effort, and normal WvW doesn’t even come remotely close to those rewards, and neither is it a realistic bar to meet, so lower it.

is still my favored in that respect, especially as it adds a individual competition over “more succesful contributions to my WvW-team” to the game.
(I did not said anything about it in the proposal, but usually you have reward-chests on completetd achievemnets.)

I have also suggested Weekly rewards and challenges, slightly different from what you’ve put up here.

Need to get first this week so I can get 3 more bonus chests said no one ever.
Tying rewards to personal participation would be the best way to do it to avoid any sever stacking and gives people a reason to play even if they are losing.
