I wholeheartly support this.
This is by far the most ridiculous achievement point category of them all with absolute ridiculous high amounts of needed points for those achievements.. next one to come after is the PvP one.
I can absolutely understand, that achievements should be some kind of long term motivation for certain categories, like WvW, but at the way how they are designed at the moment, the achievements either need a drastically change, or the ways how we gain points towards these achievements need a drastical change to make it somehow easier to gain those points over time and give players also an intention to group up together and play WvW in Groups.
Realm Avenger: Instead of 50000 Kills for Max > 10000 Kills for Max
Yakslapper: Instead of 1 Million Dolyaks for Max > 50000 Kills for Max
Dolyaks Best Friend: Instead of 500000 Escorts > 25000 Escorts
Realm Defender: Instead of 2,5 Million used supplies > 100000 used supplies
Repair Master: Instead of 1 Million used supplies für repairs, change it to 100000 repairs counting the repair action in itself and not the used supplies
Master of Disaster: instead of 1 million used supplies for siege weapons, change it to 100000 build up siege weapons or instead change it to a certain amount of damage dealt with siege weapons, like deal 100 Million Damage with Siege Weapons overall over time
Take Everything on Sight > For max, it should be more then 10000 captured places
All the undergoing sub achievements with the different capturable things should take maximum 2000 captures for max. We can capture atm 5 (7, if we consider Power Nodes and the Temple, but currently those two thigns arend in any achievement at all, they are just basically side quests that can be captured) different things:
- Supply Places
- Towers
- Keeps
- Stonemist Castle
- Street Outposts
This is more then enough long term motivation and do you know why Anet?
*Because you Anet are at the point to be able to implement and add more WvW Achievements at any given time to expand the long term motivation in WvW in regard of achievements, so why in gods name must thos current achievements be so terribly designed and be basically unreachable for anyones lifetime??*
I just calculated once basically (without taking into consideration that other players can disturb you, without considering that you need to sleep, eat, work ect.), how long a player would have to play daily 24 hours WvW, just to get Yakslapper theoretically in the most quickest time and what that would mean, how fast you would have to kill yaks to do that…
One player would have basically to play every single day 24 hours way and kill 1 yak every like 3 minutes to get this hellish achievement done in just only …cough cough cough basically 2 3/4 YEARS.
Now to think about, that this calculation was made for a crazy zombie player with no life, that can’t exist anywhere out there, that would be able to play daily all day long for 2 3/4 years this game, you have to consider sleeping, eaing, work and thousands of other things that can take your time outside of the game, you would have to take the 2 3/4 years times 3 at last to come alot nearer into a realistical ares of how much time just this 1 single achievement would take…
2 3/4 years * 3 = 8 1/4 years!!!!!!!!!!! and even this can’t realistically say out corrently how much time you would really need in the end, because this simple calculation can’t take into consideration disturbing enemy players that can massively steal your time (and nerves)

Personally I like the idea behind sub classes ~ quoted from Chris Whiteside
