Unless I’m missing it…

There are no WvW ascended items to match chrysocola style trinkets: pow/vit/cond.

I’d like to know why…

It’s because Carrion (Cond Dmg/Power/Vitality) and Valkyrie (Power/Vitality/Crit Dmg) don’t exist in the game for Ascended items. No idea why. Players have been expecting Anet to add them at some point but so far, nada.

I’m expecting Ascended Back Pieces too, but nada. I would like to be able to buy the accessories for badge too, but nada.

The back piece you can craft and judging from the last patch it’s clear they want you to do your daily in WvW to get laurels for the other stuff. I wouldn’t mind knowing what the % drop from chests the rings are though. I’ve unlocked about 10 boxes with no rings and the few people I play with claim to not have gotten one yet.

yup, you’re right. completely forgot you needed the one fragment thingy.

Let’s not make this a WvW vs PvE thing. The OP asked about the Ascended Carrion stat on WvW vendor, but the fact is, the stat doesn’t exist in the game at all for Ascended, including PvE.

True, but the thread title would indicate otherwise… and it IS frustrating that Wv3 players have to do fractals to get an ascended back piece.

I suppose we can talk about any ascended items missing – no problem.

However, the carrion armor set is relatively popular and I can’t think of any good reason not to have them. I’d hate to spend my laurels on a piece that doesn’t match right and then they come out with the items I actually need in a month or two.

Where can I post or ask about this to get an answer from a dev? Specifically “why aren’t there carrion ascended items for WvW (or at all)” and “are there plans to introduce such items in the NEAR future”?

Many threads have been posted over the past several months. A quick Google search will find them. Here was the only peep out of Anet about it …

It states that this was simply an oversight due to a lack of time and they will definitely get it in the next “batch”

Yeah, that was awhile ago.
Compared to their content releases since that time, this update should be a non issue.

That leads me to the following conclusions:

A: Anet devs have simply forgotten about this oversight.

OR

B: They think staggering content based on playstyle is a good idea. It is also likely that we will not see the requested stat sets until new ascended equipment is anounced (ie: gloves).

My two favorite characters work best with carrion gear for my specific build. This was tailored, over time and through spvp (using the provided carrion set), to develop balanced but unique characters that were a personal joy to play.
Every ascended upgrade has essentially made my mains weaker, forcing me toward an unwanted play style and unwanted armor changes.
