WvW capture rewards...
Once they fix WWW and walls/gates will be not papercraft anymore, and in time we need proper tactics to rule, not just huge zergs floating with the wind of the LagSea,
>> THEN they could make the proper rewards for being there, not because you’ve dealt damage onto something.
Because many case requires to keep out from capping and guarding/repelling in an another end, those essential players get nothing for their huge help…

If you want better RvR: Elder scrolls online.
If you want better PvP: Any FPS or you could enjoy TPvP.
What RoyalPredator brings up is exactly the problem, the people really helping, and not just leeching captures, are getting screwed when it comes to rewards.
The map should be broken up into segments, and if you do any beneficial actions in that area, you should accumulate some kind of adequate reward once the main objective is fullfilled, defense or offense.

ESO RvR is just as bad as GW2, I’d wager most of those saying otherwise are trying to justify the sub.
FPS are not that great for PvP. They come down to two major things knowing the maps(IE hiding spots) and twitch reflex. MMO style combat has the potential for a much higher skill level as well as tactics and strategy.

If you want sieges fight only and pvd only you play ESO. GW2 lets open field fights do something for the match that week.
As for wvw you need to think about it this way if you did no dmg to any thing in that tower why should you get credit for capping you just being there not helping a fight you must DO something. If your going all in support your playing GW2 wrong even in a wvw point of view you should be filling all the rolls at once this is even more true in this format then say pve.
Also if it is important to you for ppt then capping for ppt is your reward if your looking for gold and items then ppt not that important to you. Some times you must make a chose in life and do what you feel is more important to you. The point is some times you cant get every thing that you want and you must work with what you can get.

LOL? Fights influence matches? What did I miss? As far as I ever saw in WvW, the “pro” wvw guilds and commanders were karmatraining and PvDooring around, capping one keep/tower, losing another.
I think the most heard sentence in WvW is: “Oh don’t worry, it’s faster to cap it back than to defend it.”

Ya ppl like to complain you should play and form your own views on things. Ppl call capping a full upgrade tower keep to down grad it as “karmatraining” a lot and that not that downgrading it. Ppl like to call any time there more then what they have as zerging or blobbing even if there numbers are very close (red names look give you a really bad ideal of numbers). Most of the tags you see are not the real commanders the real commanders are the ones running with out tags. The big thing is one ram can take down a door in GW2 that takes supple so if you lose that ram you need to rethink what your doing in ESO if you lose sieges you just put down another no supple cost to put them down in that game and it becomes a game of who has the more sieges on them and or who did the most farming for “AP” wins or takes something.

Big zergs get the rewards. Always follow the big zergs. Anet likes big zergs.
